I’ve decided (possibly not for the first time) that I prefer this tea at 90° even doing a pour over.

I think the group agreed but they were a bit distracted…

I received a LOT of teaware from KTM. I fell in love with a few items from their inventory and decided to pick them for my new tea set. Shipping was quite expensive (it was a large package), and took a while, but everything got here safely. I’m going to talk about some of the teaware here!

Stainless Steal Tea Trays

I ordered two of these trays, the largest size and the smallest size. It’s really nice to have a big tea tray that will hold all the tea waste for a day (or even more). I used to have to pour out the tea after every session, but now I can have multiple teas in a day and not need to empty it. The smaller tray is more for fun, and when I have guests. My only qualm is the sticker on each of them, which I’m sure I’ll come off with enough use and boiling water.

Gaiwan

Immediately when using this gaiwan, I noticed a difference. It’s so much easier to hold, smoother to pour, and retains heat nicely. I was pleasantly surprised about how smooth it feels! Satisfying to hold that lid and pour tea with. It’s smaller than my previous gaiwan but that’s alright.

Four Gentlemen Teacups

These cups are cute and nice, they look great matching with the other teaware. Only problem is, I’m missing a gentlemen! I received to of the same cup and am missing the Orchid one. Feels a bit strange missing one of the four given the symbolism lol. I emailed KTM and they offered to ship me the missing cup with my next order, or if the shipping cost goes down. Sadly, shipping it alone right now would be way too expensive, so the cup will have to wait.
