"Mourn the dead and fight like hell for the living” ❤ #TDOR I’ve been assembling some of my Progress Pride pieces this evening to help me mark Trans Day of Remembrance. Nov 20th is when we remember and honour the lives of trans people whose lives have been lost in acts of anti-trans violence. 🕯 The shocking truth is that ¼ of all trans people have reported experiencing physical assault or threat of physical assault over the past 12 months, and sadly many have also died as a result. I know I’ve also depressingly seen a significant rise in dangerous anti-trans rhetoric online since the start of 2020, and this is just one of the reasons why I created these beautiful hearts back in May, as a way to try to combat the hateful transphobic nonsense. 🤬 We need to create a safer space and fight for the protection of our trans friends!
