I'm sorry but I can't stay silent anymore, I literally HATE the fact that Maou throughout the entire story (at least in the manga, I'm not read ln ever) never showed ANY emotion regarding Lucifer's death in the war
I mean, this is your friend?? Your best friend, your first friend, you grew up with him?? you're so close. hell, he didn't show an ounce of regret or sorrow
and yes, we all that their backstory was created after the main events, BUT STILL. in the present, there could have been so much in their dynamics that we didn't get
and YES, in the present, Maou doesn't just tolerate Lucifer; in the manga, he's often shown looking at him tenderly and not objecting when Lucifer complains. plus, Lucifer constantly buys him small snacks and soda, and Maou clearly doesn't mind. and how the hell, while treating him so tenderly, he shows no emotion at all about the fact that he once lost Lucifer?
okay, it's a war, they both knew what they were getting into, but Lucifer is very important in Maou's life, their backstories clearly show that
Maou should've shown more emotion, honestly, but he's so passive for the most part (but blushing girls will appear every two frames, ofc), it makes me angry. Maou has beautiful chemistry with Ashiya, and could have had the same one with Lucifer CRYING
