Is the "indefinite hiatus" thing a joke or is there any hope of AGC ever returning? I'm trying to keep convincing myself it might turn out like the TF2 comics... AGC's 3.5 Evil campaign arc is genuinely what started me towards playing 3.5 (having started on 5e)
It was never a joke - I wanted to restart it "when I stop being burnt out", but alas, I don't think it's happening. I have tried several times to write the return, and it doesn't land - doesn't feel right. And now I have SO MANY other projects I want to do; working hard on animating Sea of Secrets (the "TDDC 2" campaign), but also making Nerf Wars (the lower-effort animated version of the old Season 1 D&D Excerpts), trying to do a TDDC-style-without-visuals podcast version for another campaign, with a bunch more campaigns I'd like to adapt, my military-fantasy-novel that I'm also kindof stuck on... just endless ideas. And given my attempts to revive AGC have died at the early script phase, it seems less and less likely I could get that going again - and if I did, so much would have changed that half of the die hards wishing for it (you aren't alone) might not like it.
Honestly, occasionally I go to look something up and get sucked into reading a dozen pages, because I don't even know how I managed to write some of the best parts of AGC, including sections of the Evil Campaign.
But yeah... if you haven't seen it, the first 10 episodes of the Season 1 D&D Excerpts are on youtube under the name Nerf Wars
And I'm glad you found your way into the number-crunching madness of 3.5 (assuming you enjoy it) =)
