i've always been drawn to the idea of magic, supernatural things, and realms of fantasy. the real world tries its best to snuff it out, but i think i must've been hardwired to believe in that kind of thing - to seek worlds within worlds. it's why i'm a writer. part of me will always believe.

but more than that, i think there is a profound kind of magic in the small things.

like the sounds of laughter from friends- that's magic. or the way snow absorbs sound like a thick down blanket. or how the moon cradles the stars in its crescent cup, and between it all, festoons of night sky like swathes of dark velvet. or like... have you ever been in a crowded room, or even in a room with only one or two people, and a song comes on and suddenly everyone is consumed by the rhythm of it. the music just flows through everyone like a shared second heartbeat. that, my friend, is magic.

oof this is tricky. not gonna lie, i've considered it before. but that was less about my own desires, and more about my feelings of guilt, back when i didn't think i was good enough to hold anyone's attention for any considerable length of time.

now, i think i like the idea of being free with another person more so than being in an open relationship. always having that someone to turn to for guidance, confidence, and comfort - but with trust and communication, being free to explore other things with them..... if you catch my drift.

ha, well my first thought was death. being immortal would be pretty sick, provided the world doesn't go to irrevocable shit in the next 100 years.

since that's unlikely at this point, maybe my answer will be immunity to doubt. not in a stupid way, like i wouldn't have doubt when i really should. more of a not second-guessing myself, being confident in the things i put out into this world, not being so self-conscious, taking everything i want type of way.

i hate my given name. a lot. it doesn't fit my personality. people sing the amanda show theme song at me like once per week. either that or "a man. duh!". it's why i've been going by em on here.

also it means "worthy of love" and i just 😑 the irony is dramatic okay

no. it's a conservative southern state with long humid summers. i am about as far left as a white woman can get and i hate both summer and sweating.

faerie fruit: have you ever partaken in recreational drugs/alcohol? if so, did you like the feeling it gave?

i went to uni in the UK, so i've technically been of legal drinking age since i graduated high school (but still somehow the biggest fucking lightweight). basically sorted it down to four categories:

sleepy- wine, vodka, brandy

sad- wine, vodka, beer

spinny- cider, rum, gin, whiskey, absinthe

dancey- tequila, jaeger bombs

(we like dancey, hate sad, and for spinny and sleepy it depends on who i'm with.)

outside of alcohol, the only recreational drug i've tried is weed. okay, i've more than just tried weed. it was a pretty regular thing amongst my friends back at uni. i didn't dare try anything harsher than that, mainly because i'm very susceptible to the Effects, and would probably pass away immediately (not really, but i just have a feeling i really wouldn't like it).

i like the feeling weed gives me sometimes - it kinda feels like you're floating and heavy all at once. which can be disorientating/upsetting if you're not in a place where you feel safe. but the same could be said for alcohol tbh. for me, it's always been more about the company i keep while i'm high/drunk than the effects of the drug itself.

so if you want to experiment with anything, first and foremost, remember to always be safe. and secondly, experiment with people who make you feel safe in a place that makes you feel safe.

uhhh idkk tbh...i do tell lies but no MAJORRR oness loll (or my memory is just shit and i cant remember) but like idkk....there are many instances like once my cousin got hurt cos of me and i totally pretended like i had no idea (i was like 8..but ig 8 yr old me wasnt very nice lmaoo) but not any MAJOR oness loll

idkkk tbhh...i mean considering that every geas has like a downside.....idkk i’d have to make the fae promise that mine doesnt (but come on theyd find a way to fuck me over)....but it’d prob be hmmm.....idkk prob judes one...that no other geas works on me cos like im sure i wouldnt like to be manipulated without my will or smthn....or like to be able to tell if someone is lying everytime?...but then thatd be really annoying in like day to day instances lmaoo so nvmm...so yea...the same one as jude igg

yea igg...i mean i used to say that i dont but then i realised my idea of magic was very small....that magic isnt just a bunny popping out of a hat igg....and i suppose believing in magic just makes stuff a lot more interesting
