He calls Octavian an anemic loser; an actual medical condition that people have to deal with on a daily basis. Also shoving Nico back in this same scene (was that really necessary?)

He gaslights Nico into believing all of the isolation and rejection he was feeling was all in his head, not to mention his constant wandering eyes which isn’t necessarily bullying but openly disrespecting your partner after they’ve made it clear it makes them uncomfortable is disgusting. Even more so when he doesn’t apologize and instead tries to force Nico to agree. Also adding on the way he’s always demanding Nico to do things he thinks is good for him and becoming irritated when Nico complains or expresses discomfort.

He straight up called Nico creepy for singing. Calls Nico ‘Death Boy’ despite Nico being uncomfortable about it.

He’s judgmental as hell and spews Nico’s business to anyone who asks, and this is all just from the few presences he has. In my opinion, he just comes off as very narcissistic. The type of person whose ‘rules are for ye and not for me’. The way he’s constantly portrayed as being this super chill guy, but actually gets pissy pretty often in private makes him look really bad as a character.

People will say it’s because he’s stressed about being a healer, but I highly doubt he’s the only healer in the camp especially given that he can barely heal one person without feeling weak. And if it’s really that stressful to the point where he takes it out on others, then he shouldn’t be dating at all.

and thats crazy for me that some of you try to ignore this fact but 😭😭 yeah he may not have had a catholic household but he had contact with catholicism because mussolini used the church for his own benefits - he needed a solid institution like the church to perpetuate the fascism and the totalitarianism

so YES nico di angelo had catholic influence and probably a catholic education since it was obligatory in public schools after the lateran treaty (1929). riordan may not have expressed himself really nice but i get what he said
