Hey do you guys think it would be possible for tribute to be born with unnatural eye colors, like purple or gold or something like that cause it could be an effect to whatever caused Panem in the first place? Or like a genetic mutation of some kind that happened as a result of whatever happened prior to Panem existing kinda like what was shown in the Netflix show “Sweet Tooth” or something like that?
Just imagine a tribute with purple eyes staring deep into your soul, to them it’s normal but to others it’s some uncanny valley type thing. With the all having some sort of “otherness” to them rather but overall looking like normal humans though you can’t help notice something is off about them.
Because I was thinking that for the Undertale inspired AU they sorta get the eye color of their souls? Or rather like shades of them, which could be really cool.
Why do you think Dr. Gaul wants the games to continue?
She genuinely hates and/or wants to punish the districts
She finds the games as fascinating and uses them as entertainment
She sees them as a chance to observe humans in their "truest form"*
She uses them to justify her muttations**
She just really likes violence
Highbottom hates the games and she hates him
She has a secret tragic backstory
She sees them as a way to control the Capitol/Districts via entertainment/suffer

*To clarify, the books obviously disagree with this stance. This option is based on what Gaul believes and whether or not you think that's her motivation.
** Dr. Gaul doesn't seem particularly well-liked. She's callous and unethical, and any respect people have for her seems to be out of fear. On top of that, experiments like hers are probably pretty expensive. Now that the war is over, Panem's government would probably love an excuse to shut her down or restrict her funding. Gaul wants the games to be a spectacle so she can use them as a shield against this by positing her mutts as tools for entertainment.
If you have any theories please leave them in the reblogs or replies. I find Dr. Gaul really interesting but she doesn't get as much attention as the other villains in this franchise.
