DNFed: When She Reigns by Jodi Meadows

Technically, I never even started this book. I loved the first instalment of the trilogy when I read it back in 2017 then bought the next two books when they came out but never got around to reading them. And now, I've apparently outgrown this story.

This book was stunning! The writing was so beautiful in this. I remember seeing a passage from this book about the dictionary definition of homosexuality not containing love, and I wanted to read it immediately. I bought it last summer from Gay's The Word in London, and it's taken me until now to read it. The characters were so lovely, the shaping of the world and the thoughts and emotions expressed about queer love so beautiful. This just captured that feeling of first love and how beautiful and terrifying it can be for queer teenagers. I really adored it.

I severely disliked American Royals by Katharine McGee. I have no plans to read the rest of the American Royals trilogy which is, as far as I am concerned, a royal waste of time (pun intended). However, The Thousandth Floor trilogy has been on my shelves for years, so I feel obligated to read it (or at least try to).

6. Supernova (3), Marisa Meyer

I liked the Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer as well as Heartless. Gilded, their newest release, is on my TBR, so I feel that it is time to finally read the Renegades trilogy!

7. Concrete Rose by Angie Thomas

I loved both The Hate U Give and On the Come Up by Angie Thomas, so I am excited to read Concrete Rose, their newest release!

tbrbusterchallenge 2022

Hello! This year for the tbrbusterchallenge I have three goals:

1. Read 50 books that qualify for the tbrbusterchallenge—this is a stretch goal for sure, but hey, if I don’t hit 50, there are zero consequences, so why not aim high lol

2. Read 25 books I already own (all, i think, included in this picture)

3. Read 25 books that are on my library tbr list (which, after six months of work at the library, is at almost 400 books)–these have to be books that are already on the list, not ones that I add in 2022

This way I’m making progress on the books I’ve bought, and reading books from the library that I’ve marked as to-read, not just the books that I’m shelving on any given day. To make goal 3 easier, I went through my library tbr and picked out 27 books
