Falling in Love with the Members of The Bad Batch Headcanons
Hunter
Falling in love with Hunter happens so gradually that you donât realize itâs happened until youâre already hopelessly gone for him. It starts with the way he always seems aware of where you are, how heâs unconsciously positioning himself between you and danger, checking that youâve eaten, quietly making sure you have a place to sleep after long missions. Hunter isnât naturally expressive with his feelings, but heâs attentive in a way that makes you feel cherished. You notice how his eyes immediately search for you when he enters a room and how his shoulders visibly relax when he realizes youâre safe. The moment you truly fall is probably during a quiet evening around a campfire. Everyone else is asleep, and for once Hunter isnât carrying the weight of leadership on his shoulders. Heâs smiling softly, telling you stories about his brothers, and you realize that heâs showing you the parts of himself he rarely lets anyone see. Loving Hunter means falling for his strength, but staying because of his gentleness. Beneath the soldier is a man who desperately wants a home and people to protect, and once youâre part of that circle, heâll love you with unwavering devotion.
Wrecker
Falling in love with Wrecker is like being caught in a tidal wave of warmth and laughter. At first, you think heâs simply the teamâs lovable bruise, the guy who breaks things, tells terrible jokes, and gets excited over snacks. But then you start noticing the little things. The way he carefully picks flowers he thinks youâll like despite his massive hands. The way he immediately notices when youâre sad and tries everything he can to make you smile. Wrecker has one of the biggest hearts youâll ever encounter, and loving him feels safe. You fall for him during moments when nobody else is paying attention, when he gently helps a child after a mission, when he wraps a blanket around your shoulders because he noticed you were cold, or when he proudly remembers something small you mentioned weeks ago. His affection is never complicated. If Wrecker loves you, youâll know it. Heâll look at you like youâre the best thing in the galaxy, and every day heâll choose to make your life brighter. Being loved by him means never doubting your worth because heâll remind you constantly.
Tech
Falling in love with Tech sneaks up on you. At first, you find him fascinating but difficult to read. He speaks with precise logic, spends hours buried in data, and often misses social cues that everyone else catches. Yet somehow, the more time you spend around him, the more you begin to understand him. You realize that every fact he shares is an attempt to include you in his world. Every correction isnât criticism, itâs his way of communicating. You fall hardest when you notice how much he actually pays attention. Tech remembers everything. Your favorite drink. The stories youâve told him. The exact date of conversations youâd forgotten yourself. He starts creating little gadgets that make your daily life easier and presents them as if theyâre no big deal. Then one day you realize heâs been quietly caring for you all along. Loving Tech means understanding that his affection isnât always spoken aloud. Itâs hidden in solved problems, thoughtful observations, and the way he automatically factors your happiness into every calculation he makes. His love is deliberate, intelligent, and incredibly sincere.
Echo
Falling in love with Echo is deeply emotional because so much of his life has been marked by loss. At first, heâs guarded and cautious. Heâs spent years rebuilding himself after unimaginable trauma, and trust doesnât come easily anymore. But as you get closer, he begins letting you see the man behind the cybernetics and soldier training. Echo possesses an incredible amount of empathy because he understands suffering better than most people. He listens carefully when you talk and never dismisses your feelings. You fall for him during quiet conversations late at night when everyone else is asleep. The two of you sit together under unfamiliar stars, sharing fears and hopes neither of you tell anyone else. Echo makes you feel seen in a way thatâs almost overwhelming. He understands loneliness, grief, and resilience. Loving him means loving someone who has survived so much and still chooses kindness. When Echo finally trusts you enough to lean on you emotionally, it feels like one of the greatest honors imaginable.
Crosshair
Falling in love with Crosshair is by far the most complicated. It begins with irritation more than affection. Heâs blunt, sarcastic, and seems determined to keep everyone at armâs length. Most people eventually stop trying to get close to him. You donât. Slowly, almost reluctantly, Crosshair starts tolerating your presence. Then he starts seeking it out. You notice him sitting beside you during long flights. You notice him listening when you speak, even when he pretends not to care. Crosshair is not a man who wears his heart openly. Every tiny gesture means something. A spare blanket left where youâll find it. A weapon maintenance tip given without explanation. The way his gaze follows you during missions to ensure youâre safe. Falling for him happens when you realize how fiercely loyal he is beneath all those walls. Crosshair has spent his entire life expecting disappointment, so when he finally lets himself love someone, itâs terrifying for him. His affection is quiet, protective, and incredibly intense. Loving Crosshair means earning trust that few people ever receive, and once you have it, he becomes someone who would walk through fire for you without hesitation.
Falling in Love with All of Them
One of the most beautiful parts of loving someone in Clone Force 99 is that you never just gain one person, you gain a family. Hunter watches over you. Wrecker treats you like his favorite person in the galaxy. Tech includes you in everything heâs passionate about. Echo becomes your closest confidant. Even Crosshair, in his own stubborn way, starts viewing you as one of his people. Before you know it, youâve become part of something larger than yourself: a found family built from loyalty, resilience, and unconditional love. And somehow, thatâs almost as wonderful as falling in love itself.

HUNTER
Hunter sits on the floor of the Marauder, leaning his back against the cool bulkhead with a datapad balanced on his knee, deeply concentrated on sorting through the squad's supply logistics. His brow is furrowed, and his entire posture carries the heavy, tense weight of a stressed out leader. You donât say a word to disrupt the silence at first. Instead, you simply walk over, slide yourself right under his arm, and tuck your head perfectly beneath his chin, wrapping your arms around his torso like a koala.
He freezes for a fraction of a second, completely caught off guard by the sudden weight, before a massive, soft sigh escapes his chest. You look up, resting your chin on his chest, and murmur softly,
 "Hunter, I want your attention."
Annoying things they do: Bad Batch edition
Hunter: leaves his fallen hairs all over the fresher sink. Also doesn't clean his hair out of the shower drain. If it gets plugged up, he'll just stomp on it until the water slightly drains.
Wrecker: waits until you take a bite to ask a question that requires more than a âyesâ or ânoâ answer. Stares expectantly as you chew.
Omega: leaves cups and glasses right at the very edge of the countertop. Is very surprised when one gets knocked off and broken.
Crosshair: offers to wash the dishes, then JUST washes the dishes. Doesn't wipe down the counters or put anything away. Congratulates himself on pulling his own weight.
Echo: arranges his food in careful, individual piles around the perimeter of his plate. Refuses to eat any that touch.
Tech: âputs things awayâ in places that make no sense to anyone except himself. Does not tell you where any of it went. When you ask where he put stuff, he tells you he thought it was obvious.

Listen Echo canonically loves pointing out the obvious and also dad jokes so all I can think is someone going
âThank you, Captain Obvious.â
and him going
âActually, its ARC Trooper Obviousâ
