Set to happen on the 15th - 16th of August
Reblog to spread the word!
@stsevents
Event details below the cut:
As the name already entails: Participants will be tasked to create an entry, themed around those two seasons. BUT, unlike the 2024's edition, this one comes with a TWIST!
Participants will have to base themselves on the opposite season they find themselves at!
e.g.: If the place you find yourself at is in the middle of Winter, then your entry should be themed around Summer. And Vice versa!
Hope you'll be joining us for another round of fun events!

Finally done with the second chapter of this story - which started as a bunch of random one shots - and I guess I'm going somewhere from here. (@mxs-space & @masterof108puppets)
The further he walked through the village, the more certain he became that he would have no problem fitting in. The young elementals, who were slowly emerging from their lodgings, were gathering in the center of the village like ants around sugar. The two gods approached the commotion to see what was happening. The shouts grew louder with each step they took, quickening their pace when they heard a fight becoming more intense.
Guaraci pushed aside some of the young apprentices and realized what was really going on. A young redhead was putting a slightly younger boy in a choke-hold while her companion – a giant boar – was chewing on the red cap belonging to a much younger child, who was hopping on his one leg trying to retrieve it.
Before the gods could do anything, a high-pitched whistle echoed through the village, causing everyone present to writhe in agony. The source of such a commotion was a giant white owl with brownish plumage and large black eyes that flew above the crowd. The remaining human beings in Aldebaran were terrified, wondering what such a bird was doing flying so low in that area. But the divine beings knew exactly who it was.
The closer she got to the center of the chaos, the more the creature's appearance changed from a giant Church Owl to an equally tall albino woman. Her claws and wings transformed into legs and arms covered in a cloak of brown feathers. Her beak became a small black mouth and a long, pointed nose. Her completely black eyes contrasted with her white skin and light brown streaks in her hair. While she seemed old in her expression, she conveyed a youthful demeanor in her posture.
The bird-woman approached the young people responsible for the disturbance, frightening everyone before even uttering a word. With just a wave of her hand, the young apprentices watching moved away from the central group, gradually retreating to other corners of the village.
- Thank you so much, Dara! There were so many of them, and I didn't even get to say anything! - Guaraci exclaimed, moving away from the group of elemental trainees responsible for the disturbance and dragging Aldebaran with him.
- Very well, you can start explaining yourselves now. - She hissed, a harsh tone growing in her voice. - I'm not angry, just disappointed.
- It's that idiot pig's fault! - The young man, who had fiery hair and backward-facing feet, pointed a finger at the giant boar that was only holding the cap still in its mouth.
- Idiot my ass! - The redhead yelled back at the boy, pulling the animal companion's cap and returning it to the younger girl.
- SILENCE! - The woman exclaimed, her voice echoing through the crowd - If I wanted to listen to an argument full of insults, I would have gone to talk to Morato and Maria! I want explanations!
- I was walking with Picolé when that guy. . . - The redhead took a deep breath before resuming her explanation. - started picking on me. I lost my temper and we started fighting. As for the hat, I think Picolé must have picked it up in the middle of the mess when Senna tried to separate us.
- Senna trying to break up a fight instead of joining it? That's a novelty! - Guaraci commented, attentively observing the young black woman with a flabby leg, earning the disapproving look of the older woman and Senna herself. Guaraci shrank back a little and cleared her throat. - Continue, Moira.
- I was just defending myself and Senna's hat was a coincidence. - The redhead, named Moira, finished her thought.
- Defending yourself? You came looking for a fight with me, you...
- Yuri! There's no need to be obscene! Can you explain your point of view without insulting other people? - Dara reprimanded the boy, moving closer to him with each sentence to distance him from Moira.
- I was walking with Senna to take these medicinal herbs to Chief Inã when Moira attacked me for no reason at all, - Yuri explained, pointing at Moira aggressively. - I even tried to talk to her to calm her down, but she lunged at me without me even doing anything!
- You're such a cynic! - Senna retorted, approaching Moira and Picolé.
- Kid, you know I was watching everything from the beginning, right? - Dara asked, crossing her arms and puffing out her chest angrily.
The boy's face turned almost as pale as Dara's skin and hair. Her brown eyes scanned everyone present, finally resting on Aldebaran. Amidst all this conversation, the new god simply watched in wonder at this peculiar woman who held his attention simply by existing. The calm way she spoke, how she gestured her anger without needing to raise her voice at the young people, it was as if everything was well-articulated, planned.
Unable to pay attention to the scolding young Yuri was receiving from the woman, Aldebaran began to remember distant times when he and his fellow Gold Saints would play pranks on the older knights and receive a scolding from Saga and Aiolos shortly afterward. The memories brought a familiar nostalgia to him, a presence in his life since adolescence.
As soon as the scolding ended, the young men returned to their tasks, and Dara's attention turned to the divine duo beside him.
- Who's the tall one?
- This is the vessel of Tupã's will! - Guaraci explained, introducing the newcomer to Dara.
- The one we stole from Athena's cemetery?
- Yes, that's him. Wow, nothing escapes you, does it?
- No, I'm always keeping an eye on everything and everyone. It's my duty as a Death-Shroud.
- Then. . . “Dara” is a nickname. . . – Aldebaran, previously lost in his own thoughts, tried to ask.
– For Suindara, yes. It’s an honor to meet someone of such honor as you! – Dara replied, adjusting her cloak with pride and bowing to greet him.
– The honor is all mine! – Aldebaran bowed respectfully to his new companion.
– So… we’re taking a little tour of the village, would you like to recommend any specific place or share any information? I’d even let you join us if you want… – Guaraci announced, watching Dara walk away from the pair.
– I appreciate the offer, but I’ll have to pass on the opportunity. I have to finish my tasks for the day before I can go anywhere else. – Dara commented, getting closer and closer to the forest until she reached the entrance and stopped suddenly. – As for sharing information. . . Know, my young friend, that not everything here is as vivid as you imagine.
The woman returned to her bird form and took flight, leaving the new god with more questions than answers.
- Don't pay too much attention to her, Dara is rather enigmatic like that. Well, can we continue our visit? - Guaraci asked with a certain anxiety in his voice.
- Yes. . .
The tour continued without further interruptions. Guaraci was excited, his headdress shining with emotion. Despite an apparently peaceful coexistence, Aldebaran couldn't stop thinking about the albino woman's words. They passed some young people who were training together, planting fields, the large house—from which they had just emerged—and finally went to a more secluded cave from which a strong wave of heat emanated. At the back of the cave, a tall woman was working on some metallic object with a pair beside her.
Her hair seemed to be made of golden flames, her golden eyes fixed on what appeared to be armor with several cracks and a large snake coiled around its neck, resting calmly on its owner's neck. The young people – in turn – observed the repair from a safe distance, with the woman leaning against a wall as if uninterested while the man seemed fascinated by the armor's repair.
When he noticed the approach, the boy straightened up from the wall and moved to speak to the girl beside him. The two then approached the divine pair, the woman visibly irritated while her companion grinned from ear to ear.
- Lord Guaraci! What are you doing here? - The young boy asked, bowing to Guaraci.
- And who is this man? - The girl asked, pointing with her chin at Aldebaran.
- Maria, not now. . .
- Yes now! It's a restricted place, not just anyone can come up here and disturb Miss Angra. . .
- We're here precisely for that reason, actually. He's the avatar of the god Tupã, Aldebaran! Alde, these are Maria and Morato, the twins of the Great Serpent. - Guaraci interrupted, introducing the siblings while pulling Maria away from Aldebaran.
The twins greeted him with a nod, and Aldebaran returned a small wave and a somewhat embarrassed smile. It wasn't the first time he'd met a pair of twins, that was a fact, yet they still gave him chills. He still hadn't gotten used to the existence of twins who — despite disagreeing — didn't try to kill each other or other innocent people (as far as he knew).
- Are they always so... friendly? - Aldebaran asked anxiously as he observed the twins.
- Not so much with strangers. . . - The taller woman replied, turning to observe the two gods who had just entered. The snake around her neck also turned to face them with a certain curiosity. - But give them some time and you'll see they're much more receptive than they seem.
- This one, as I was saying before, is Angra. She's the one who takes care of the legends when they're broken in battle! - Morato commented, gently stroking the snake's head with a finger. - And this is Coral; she has no powers beyond immortality and size, but she's pretty, tame and venomous.
- It's a pleasure to meet you! - Aldebaran extended his hand to greet Angra, who returned the gesture as Coral slowly approached him. The true coral snake could smell Aldebaran's hand, which made him a little nervous.
- The pleasure is all mine! - Angra replied, guiding his hand so he could pet Coral. - It's wonderful to know that such a prestigious warrior is joining us.
- Despite the rumors of the theft... - Maria commented, staring at the new divine vessel.
- Maria! - Guaraci reprimanded.
- It's alright... I understand your concerns about the unusual way I was brought here... - Aldebaran stated confidently.
- Good thing you know. - Maria commented, rolling her eyes.
- MARIA! - Morato reprimanded hysterically, giving his sister a light nudge with his elbow.
- But I guarantee that, despite all this, I will strive to ensure everyone's lives are safe. - Maria and Morato exchange glances upon hearing Aldebaran's promise, trying to suppress laughter. However, they both end up giving in and laughing hysterically while Guaraci shrinks into himself in shame.
- You... know they're all dead, right? - Angra asks with some hesitation, causing Coral to also shrink into her neck.
I find it absolutely hilarious that the inspo behind Aldebaran is Raul from Fist of the North Star. They turned the most evilest bitch in the most psychologically balanced of a platoon of child soldiers
