Carter: M, I made a SimRay!

Now we’re talking.

Carter: If I just add this here, I should be able to fundamentally alter the atomic structure of an object.

Oh?

Carter: Chair… be different!

Carter: Nothing’s happening. Why is nothing happening?

Carter: Woah, did you see it change?

I genuinely didn’t.

Carter: Fascinating! The transition is delayed but also instantaneous.

I think that might just be simulation lag.

Carter: *starts bleeding from nose* simu-what now?

While Carter works late to fine-tune the SimRay further, Casandra goes into labor at home.

Luckily, Carter makes it back in time to freak out and be generally unhelpful.

Carter: What do I do???

Casandra: Just give me some space, love. I can handle this.

Carter: Okay… Just be careful.

It’s a girl!

Carter: Oh… wow. She’s perfect.

Welcome to the world, Delphine Tau! Delphine rolls the Dreamy** trait.

The birth of Callum’s son prompts Belle and Norah to have a discussion about who to name heir, which immediately devolves into an argument. Norah is angry that Belle would even consider naming Callum heir over one of their children together.

After her infidelity and her mother’s antics as a vampire, Belle is terrified of scaring Norah off for good, so she relents. She even encourages Norah to choose who she should name heir.

Cecil navigates a difficult prom. He spends a lot of time pining over Marci and ignoring his date.

A few charming words, though, and Myla leaves the night confident there might be something real between her and Cecil.

It’s Callum’s birthday and they wish for the chance to be a parent to Ibrahim. They roll the self-assured trait.

Wishes don’t come true without a little effort, though, so Callum takes Piper’s advice and sues for split custody. They win! Audrey is pissed, but Callum is more than ready to start taking on the role of parent.

For now, they wish the Tau household farewell, and move to Mt. Komorebi to start their life.

The Taus try to go back to normal following Zayne’s “disappearance” and Aya’s hibernation.

Carter’s birthday is celebrated quietly without fuss. He rolls the inquisitive trait.

But the normalcy can’t last apparently… and Callum soon finds themselves haunted by their father’s ghost.

Piper is having a more normal teenage-hood so far. She lands herself an older boyfriend, Kash.

With Zayne out of the picture, Belle is clear to make her way to the top of the pyramid. Introducing Belle Tau, Charity Icon!

Piper convinces Callum to join her and Kash for a day on the slopes. She even suggests that Callum invite the girl they like, Julie.

The whole group arrives, including Julie, but she appears to be in a bit of a mood. Just what’s up with her?

Helena does NOT show up equipped for the job of chaperoning her two teenage daughters. She’s clearly spent some time over at the bubble machine and is feeling a little worse for wear.

With Helena out of sorts, Bonnie is free to sneak off into a corner with her girlfriend once again.

And Belle hits it off with a mutual dog lover named Zayne.

Zayne gives off some red flags by screaming at someone randomly.

And gives off even more by telling off Belle for asking just what the hell that was about.

Belle finds him quite intriguing even so, and ends the night with a kiss.

Before they leave, Bonnie warns Belle that Zayne definitely has the evil trait. Belle brushes it off though, and reminds Bonnie that she knows what it’s like to have a temper, which, as one would expect, pisses Bonnie off.

These girls haven’t exactly shown their most well-adjusted side during this chapter, but it’s still time to pick one of them to carry on the legacy! I will be posting the heir poll on here later today, so be on the look out for that! Or, you can go to the poll that is already live on my website right now!

Completely unaware of Aya committing literal (but well-intentioned?) crimes downstairs, Norah and Belle throw a birthday party for Callum and Piper. Pictured is Piper’s half-sister, Rita. She’s also a redhead!

Callum blows out the candles, and makes a meaningful wish.

Upon Callum aging up, they realize that they/them pronouns are a better fit for them! They rolled the Ski Lover** trait and their aspiration is to be a Mt. Komorebi Sightseer (Reach emotional enlightenment).

Piper aged up stunningly. I’m really quite sad she’s not in the running for heir. She rolled the Free Spirit** trait and her aspiration is to be a Friend of the World (have 30 friends).

After the party, Aya corners Belle and gives her the vampire cure she’s been working so hard on.

One gross beverage and a few glowing moments later, Belle’s short stint as a vampire has come to an end.

Aya has more news though. She not-so-subtly promises Belle that Zayne won’t be a problem anymore, but she has to go away because of what she did. Belle tries to understand.

As Aya goes around saying a quick goodbye to all her loved ones, she realized that the Tau family really does mean a lot to her, and she’s looking forward to when she can wake up and rejoin the future of the family line.

For now though, Aya settles in for a long slumber until her name is forgotten and this particularly plot-heavy section of the Tau story comes to a close.

Following a full day of skiing, Callum shoots their shot with Julie in the hot springs. She turns them down, and informs them that she only came along because she’s into Piper. How she could say no to the snow-boot/swimsuit combo is beyond me.

Between Julie shooting them down and Piper ditching them to hang out with Kash all day, Callum snaps. They give Piper what for.

It takes a day, but these two finally reconcile and Piper promises to find Callum a prom date.

Although, Callum arguably has bigger problems than prom dates at the moment.

Piper introduces Callum to her friend Isis who… isn’t having it.

Dejected, Callum tries to pep-talk themselves, but going to prom without a date is starting to feel worse than being haunted by their dead dad.

Luck strikes! Callum stumbles upon a friend named Audrey outside. Callum isn’t quite sure if Audrey’s their type, but she seems more than willing to be their prom date, so they go for it!

Piper’s a little annoyed that she doesn’t get credit for the matchup, but she’s happy for her sibling. I wonder how prom will go?

Remember when I said Helena would still be around? Well, she shows up almost immediately as the hired caterer (we had no food and Aya’s cooking skill sucks because she doesn’t eat human food).

Awkward.

Aya works hard to keep raising her two girls.

She gets a lot of help from Jeffery, too.

Helena makes an appearance again for Belle’s birthday! See? It’s like she never left!

Here’s Belle as a child! She rolled the Cheerful trait. A tad boring since Molly was cheerful, but a hot-headed and cheerful sibling set promises drama so we take it.

This is a chapter of endings, and our endings are far from over… Jeffery’s time comes in the middle of Belle’s birthday party.

Poor thing.

We end this time around with me officially starting the Tau Legacy cemetery. It’ll become prettier and more landscaped as we go on, but for now, here is a final resting place for Molly and Jeffery.

The family helps Bonnie and Danielle move into their new little cottage in Henford. Aya is a bit put off by the old, quaint vibe.

Before everyone takes off, Helena corners Aya and apologizes for being so hot and cold lately. It seems like Helena has more to say, but Aya ends the conversation abruptly.

Belle learns that Zayne lives alone after his parents both died. Being an evil Sim, he feels indifferent (maybe even pleased) about losing his parents. He plays the role of sad orphan though, and Belle’s kind heart leads her to pity him.

Helena came by to finish what she was trying to say the other day! Apparently, she wants to marry Aya again. Not sure how that happened because their friendship bar was definitely still in the red at this point, but Aya accepts!

After a lifetime of ups and downs, these two finally seem like they're on the same page.

The two waste no time retying the knot in their own backyard, with both their daughters present.

Congrats to Aya and Helena! Hopefully these two get some peace and quiet as a couple this time around.
