Josiah and I mowed this morning. I shouldn’t have mown because of the tendon-rupture possibility of the meds from Hell I was on, but we couldn’t let it go. The seed heads were already up, and it’s supposed to rain the rest of the week. Our feels-like by 11 AM was already 95F, on its way to 101F (it made it, as you can see). So we couldn’t let it go any longer. At least we only did the front and side yards.
I autoclaved grips. Di came down from Knoxville and I colored her flamingo that we outlined a while back. A few lines are darker because they needed touching up; they’ll settle back in as it heals. She helped me stretch skin to touch up my Knitting Chicken tattoo.
I have 4 accidental plants growing in the front yard. I thought they were some kind of squash. I let them grow because the farther they vine out, the less I have to mow. Anyway, they’re Sugar Baby heirloom watermelons! They must have re-seeded from a plant I grew last year, and there’s already one, 3” melon on the vines.
