I’m extremely emotional that so many of you guys are so happy for me. I’ve always said the Tattoo AU was a collaborative project, and it def wouldn’t have gone on for so long and with so much detail without the input and encouragement from the stevetony community. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart for your continued love and support of this series. I’m eternally grateful 💖

The tattoo on Steve’s leg is a mermaid. You can see it here. The thought behind that tattoo is that the mermaid is for Morgan. The name Morgan in Welsh apparently means “sea-born” and might refer to the Celtic myths of Morgens or Welsh myths of water spirits. A mermaid in that case felt fitting. And maybe, anchor for family being Steve’s anchor if you want to look even deeper.

I think I can safely say I’ll never stop drawing Steve with an undercut (even outside of the Tattoo AU because canonically in Endgame he kind of has one😌). You’ll have to pry his undercut from my cold dead hands

I have some plans in the back of my head that Steve would have tattoos of all of his and Tony’s kids on his back, sort of like a big family tattoo there. That would include something for Morgan, Peter, and Harley, all of whom Steve loves dearly, as if they were all his own. I haven’t really decided what they are yet, so suggestions for those are super welcome!

Okay, but hear me out: clean-shaven tattoo Steve.

Swallows were also used as a symbol of their journey home and returning home safely. In Steve’s case, the swallows point to the sacred heart in the middle of his chest for Tony, which is his version of “you gave me a home.”
