Opinel Nr.09 Inox Custom “Memento Mori” Heute etwas ganz Besonderes. Seit ich denken kann, faszinieren mich die Gegensätze. Licht und Schatten, Gut und Böse, Leben und Tod, Schwarz und Weiß. In keinem anderen Holz spiegelt sich dieser Dualismus so gut wieder wie in dem sehr seltenen Royal White Ebony (auch Königs-Ebenholz oder schwarz-weißes Ebenholz). Dieses Messer habe ich “Memento Mori” getauft (”Bedenke, dass du sterblich bist”). Es behandelt die Kontraste Leben und Tod und ist Teil 1 einer Miniserie, die sich mit den Gegensätzen beschäftigen wird. Special amongst the extraordinary. I have been fascinated by the opposites since forever. Shadow and light, good and evil, life and death, black and white. No other kind of wood reflects these contrary things better than the extremely rare and hard to get Royal White Ebony. This knife by the name “Memento Mori” (“remember that you must die”) is dedicated to the contrairies life and death and is part one of a mini-series that will deal with these paradox themes.
