Month of Spreads Day Four: Focus
Deck: The Linestrider Tarot
1. What needs my attention?
Card pulled: The Fool
Key Words: Adventures, Openness, innocence, risk taking
I need to become more open toward those around me, much like the cards told me yesterday. I need to let others into my space, take risks - live more. I should take in the world around me much as the fool does and live like every new day is just another adventure no matter the obstacles that may present themselves.
2. What am I focusing on instead/ What is distracting me?
Card pulled: Nine of Cups, reversed
Key Words: Overindulgence, Greed, Gluttony, Lust, impatience
I guess I need to learn to say ‘no’ much more often, as well as taking and doing everything in moderation. My true goals will never be met if I’m too busy indulging and living in the moment. I need to focus on the long term and my future/my families future. Wishing and hoping for better is one thing, but actually doing is a whole other story.
3. How can I shift my focus?
Card pulled: Seven of Cups, Reversed
Key Words: Paranoia, Delusions, Wishful Thinking
Again, wishful thinking and living within my own head has/will be my downfall. Though the real world can be overwhelming, I need to bring these big dreams into reality and make them concrete. But - that’s what I’m currently trying to do. I just need to take bigger, braver steps forward. But with my baby yet to even be born, it’s easy to say I’ve been quite distracted.
4. What resources can I use to help keep me on track?
Card pulled: Seven of Swords, Reversed
Key Words: Escape, Clear Conscience, Revealing Secrets
Show the world my authentic self, stop hiding and be /me/. I should build courage and be more honest about myself and my problems. ( health, beliefs, anything weighing me down. )
Card Pulled: Six of Cups
Key Words: Nostalgia, Childhood, Happiness, Joy, Memories
Doing this, I will find the happiness and joy I have been missing all along. Relying in the help of family and friends is not weakness, it is strength and will help me keep on track.
