I worked the Service Desk today
And this lady came up with her reciept saying that the 5% with the redcard didn't come off, The lady had bought some bananas and like a phone refill card, which ( i'm not completely sure but I don't think the redcard takes 5 percent off of that) But I was telling her that is doesn't cover it, and I'm someone who is still semi-new at guest service and ' haven't earned my firm speaking voice with guests' and all of the sudden she was like ," Well can you get an answer on that?" So like trying to provide ' good guest service' I called my GSTL over and she comes over and she tells her the same exact thing i did and the lady was like, " But when I did the math the five percent didn't come out right, but i guess I'll just call the number."
So my GSTL started to help the next guest in line, (because this lady was causing a major back-up while in the middle of a busy rush.) So all of the sudden, the guest glares at my gstl and says," So you're not gonna answer my damn question?" And my gstl snapped back like, " You just said you were gonna call the number." She the lady just stomped off complaining about 'horrible service' and it was so hard to let the sassy rudeness come out.
