Whiskey, Great Horned Owl and American Crocodile.

Yellow eyes with slitted pupils. Tapered triangular snout with visible lower teeth. Thick muscular tail.

Gray and dark brown barred plumage with a white throat patch. Thick armored scales across stomach, limbs, and under dorsal feathers.

Feathers make distinct "ears" on crown.

Spends day time basking and sleeping on mounds of sand with her mouth open.

Deep, booming sounds and capable of echolocation.

Moves the quietest and is capable of holding perfectly still when hunting.

This is the heaviest of the raptors.

Tango, Golden Eagle and Gila Monster.

Brown eyes. Broad head with stout snout and rounded tail.

Feathers go all the way down limbs. Golden brown plumage. Small beaded black scales with pink, orange, and yellow markings along underbelly and limbs.

Slit, snake-like tongue. Venomous.

Sluggish movements. Enjoys climbing. Slow metabolism.

This is the largest of the raptors.

Foxtrot, Red Tailed Hawk and Western Banded Gecko.

Cream eyes. Rounded feathers. Dark plumage with pale underneath and oarnge tail feathers. Velvety scales on underbelly and limbs; yellow, cream, and pink with brown patterns.

Flexible tail that can be curled up like a scorpion.

Likes to dance around. Very fast and precise. High pitched sounds.

When threatened, will squeak and raise tail to appear larger.

This is the lightest of the raptors.

Kilo, Osprey and Horned Lizard.

Orange eyes. Blunt snout with crown of horns made of scales. Black plumage with white underneath. Spiny sand colored scales on underbelly and limbs.

Extra jointed wrists. Leaks blood out of eyes when threatened or stressed. Oily, water repellant feathers.

Will inflate body to look larger. Often ends up falling over when doing so.

This is the only piscivore raptor.

Uniform, American Goshawk and Plateau Striped Whiptail.

Orange eyes. Pointed snout. Dark gray plumage with blue barring and seven cream stripes from snout to tail. White eyebrows. Broad bodied. Large rectangular cream scales along underbelly and limbs.

Forked tongue and bright blue tail as a baby. Thin tail a little longer than body length.

Very fast. Unlikely to lose teeth.

Tango and Etho, meanwhile, are quite different. Both can look human-ish enough, but the forms they’re comfortable in very much aren’t. It took all three of them a bit to get used to everything, but they make it work. They didn’t exactly know how nonhuman the others were at the start of their relationship, and they still learn new things about each other all the time.

One time, when their relationship was still pretty new, Bdubs had joined Tango on the couch to cuddle. He hadn’t been expecting to suddenly feel two sets of arms wrapping around him, but that was surprisingly easy to get used to, and it makes for nice hugs.

The first time Etho had taken his mask off around Tango and Bdubs, it had been while they were discussing how they felt about kissing. Etho had mentioned being curious about what it’d be like to be kissed more directly, instead of just through his mask, but he did warn his partners that he wouldn’t be able to kiss back.

Tango and Bdubs were fine with that, even though they hadn’t been expecting the reason to be that Etho had a gaping hole in his face instead of a mouth. They still don’t know where Etho’s real mouth is, if he even has one.

But over the years they’ve all gotten used to each other, and Bdubs loves every bit of his partners, whether those bits be tails, wings, weird eyes, sharp teeth, or whatever else makes Tango and Etho who they are.

Bdubs also considers himself lucky to have seen both of his partner’s true forms, even if he’s only actually seen Etho’s twice.

Tango returns to his true form every now and again, and despite being made of pure fire he doesn’t burn, and Bdubs will gladly cuddle up to him when it’s getting too cold. Etho’s true form is a bit more incomprehensible, and can be harsh on the eyes if you were to look at it for too long, but Bdubs still hopes that he’ll be able to see it again some day, even if the only detail he can really remember is the strange glitchiness of it.

It's already, Bdubs can get them back! He just has to look at them really hard with his big ol' eyes. Etho normally finds it cute and Bdubs gets a headpat and nuzzle (easier than kissing without a conventional mouth.) Tango startles like he's just seen an alien, which is even better.

Tango wants to wear the flower crowns with them, he does, but his hair keeps catching the delicate petals on fire. He gets all pouty, which Jimmy and Scott simply can't have.

Tango had always said that he was straight, though it's obvious that he is not fully. And Etho sees though his lie. So Etho tries to get Tango to tell the truth by teasing and getting so close to him, the first time Etho did it he went close to Tango and wrapped one of his arms around his waist. Etho watched as Tango's face went beet red and he just stood there in shock, but not mad or upset. Another time was Tango was sitting on the roof of his house just to look at the view. Behind him Etho had climbed up as well and he sat next to him, this time Etho was flirting and lines he said was, "The view looks pretty because you are in front of it." that line made Tango blush a bit, "Thank you Etho" says Tango. "Are you actually straight? Or just scared of what people think?" Etho asked, "Im actually Pansexual, I didn't know if people would actually care about me if I told them that." Tango responds. "Well you're not alone, im Omnisexual, Gem is bisexual, Grian is bisexual, and Jevin is transgender. And many more hermits are part of the group." Etho tells Tango. Tango smiles and askes "Was all of that you being flirty and touchy and stuff just to get me to tell the truth? Or was all that true?" Tango askes, Etho nods his head and says, "Yes all of that was because I like you, and I didn't know if it made you uncomfortable but hey if you reject me I got to get your colors out." Etho says. As Etho stands up about to go, Tango holds his hand and gently leads him back next to himself, Etho sits back down and they end off in a gentle kiss.

He and Ren enjoy running around a field whenever they have a picnic. The others have at least one person watching to make sure they don’t get hurt.

And Skizz who is very bad at dealing with Tango’s puppy dog eyes was not prepared for Wels to look at him with those sad blue eyes. It’s okay though, the hermits get him plenty of chew toys to bite instead of someone’s arm or hand.

After what felt like hours, the blindfold was finally removed, and Tango blinked open his eyes.

In front of him was a long, rectangular table that was decorated with a blue, pink, and white striped tablecloth.

There was a chair on both sides, facing opposite to each other. In front of them were mirrored plates, utensils, cups, and napkins. Everything except for the utensils were the same colors as the table.

“Did you cover the entire thing with trans flags?” Tango laughed in surprise, glancing over at Zed, who stood beside him.

“Of course! It’s our special day, so I wanted to have special decoration!”

Tango raised an eyebrow, mildly confused but mostly just amused. “And what’s so special about today?”

“Oh come on, Tango! It’s the anniversary of the first mission of Aerial Sheep Service! Can’t believe you’d forget.” He shook his head fondly.

Tango sighed, his tail whisking playfully behind him. “You should know me well enough by now, Zed. My observation skills are unparalleled.”

Zed just shrugged, before ushering Tango to take a seat. “Come on, sit down, we don’t have all night.”

Tango rolled his eyes, smiling as he sat down. “Fine, fine.” He watched as Zedaph sat across from him, before glancing down at his plate, which was empty. The plastic party cup was full, though, and he got the slightest whiff of champagne.

“What, so we’re gonna have alcohol for dinner?”

Zed sighed dramatically, leaning back in his seat. “Be more patient! Dinner’s still in the oven.”

“Says the ‘hurry up and sit down before you waste my time’ guy.” Tango teased, picking up his cup to inspect it a little closer. Yup, definitely champagne. His hair flickered a bit as he glanced back at Zedaph expectantly.

“So, do we get to drink while we wait?”

Zed nodded, grabbing his own cup. “Of course, we do have refills after all. But first, we need a toast!”

Tango straightened up in his chair. “Sure thing. What are we toasting to?”

Zedaph matched Tango’s growing grin, raising his cup. “A toast to us!”

Tango does later point out that this is a celebration of them, so surely Tango should be doing a little work too.

Cleo has one reoccurring event on her calendar. It's simple, to the point.

'Go bother Tango.'

The goal is not actually to bother Tango, of course. It's to make sure he's not hyperfocused on something and not taking care of himself. And when he is, that's when she bothers him.
