Melini *is* pretty undeveloped (as we see from the poop forest extra) and it's a kingdom that remained "frozen in time" since a thousand years ago.

Elven society is probably more advanced in general than tallmen's and the Canary headquarters is in the northern central continent which is probably even more advanced. (Fleki is originally from the Sourthern Central Continent but I imagine she has been with the canaries for a while now) (There's said to be smaller elven villages tho so it's not like *all* elves live like the central continent ones)

Thank you! I think as the gnome says, why just the legs, ogres are more proportionally bigger with a bigger frame altogether

Which reminds me that Falin and Laios even tho they're taller than average are also pretty well built compared for example to Kaka and Kiki who are pretty lanky

They aren't really modern day humans and Ryoko Kui decided to use height to differentiate them from the other races so I think its a good choice.

Ogres live less and are taller, it's probably genetics

If you mean the abuse ogres seem to suffer from tallmen I think the easiest answer is probably because tallmen are the more powerful majority compared to half-foot while ogres are an abused minority compared to tallmen.

This is the areas with the biggest ogre populations, barely dots on the map

While ogres are physically taller and stronger they don't have number nor political power compared to tallmen.

If you mean why half-foots dont think tallmen are big and cool like tallmen think ogres are its because tallmen are almost twice as tall as half-foots.

that tallmen next to a giant twice his size really puts it into perspective, just compare the size difference between tallmen and ogres and tallmen and half-foots

Speaking of which, while going back through ryoko kui's blog I realized there's a last bit I haven't seen translated? I attempted to translate it with my poor jp, the help of google and by going by how this first part was translated. But there's these kanji I cant understand at all! Ryoko Kui's handwriting is my worst enemy
