Imagine going on a couple of dates with Toyomitsu Taishiro, more commonly known as Fat Gum, and one day he seems particularly nervous about something. You encourage him to tell you what’s on his mind and…

“I have children.” Your eyes widened in immediate shock. “Not literally, but the trainees at my company, they come over for dinner at mine at least once a week.”

You took a second to register before slowly nodding, eyes now analysing your date to see if there was any further intent. “That’s so nice…” Not sure how to word your thoughts without making him feel like you weren’t interested, you gestured for him to continue.

His cheeks flushed to match his dopey smile when he chuckled nervously. “They mean a lot to me. I was wondering if you’d like to come to dinner and meet them?”

“I would love that!”

His children couldn’t be more different from each other.

Amajiki seemed nervous to meet you, but it seemed like the nervousness had less to do with that in particular and more to do with who he was as a person. Noticing a vibrating redhead who was even more eager to greet you, you didn’t push Amajiki into any further conversation yet, simply introducing yourself and moving on after he did the same.

Kirishima, on the other hand, went straight in for a hug. He was curious about your quirk, your job, your life, everything. With an affectionate look to the side, you found Toyomitsu looking at all of you with joy, one hand resting on Amajiki’s shoulder.

“Okay, Kiri, slow down. Let’s move to the table before she gives you a recap of her whole life; we’re all hungry.”

Never mind your life, Kirishima realised he was even more curious about how you two met each other. Question after question, you and Toyomitsu took turns getting flustered and explaining how your affection grew for the other. Kirishima’s eyes got glassy with manly emotions, and Amajiki seemed to come out of his shell just a little.

Needless to say, the evening was splendid.

It was easy to see that Toyomitsu felt proud of his apprentices, and you couldn’t be happier that he wanted you to be a part of it.

Happy belated Odaiba Memorial Day once again, y'all!

It's been literal months since I picked up a pen, so this is by no means polished, but the idea has been haunting me ever since finishing my poorly translated version of "Digimon Adventure 13+".

I've rambled various times about how much I love the set-up of Koushirou's little lab squad, consisting of Miyako, Menoa, himself, and the semi-regular appearance of Taichi (and occasionally Ken). I'm very much in love with the headcanon that Menoa decided to support and fund Koushirou's lab in this universe to thank him for what his other self did for her in the Kizuna verse. So it seems only natural to me that Koushirou would try to figure out how the multiverses work, how Menoa's universe is connected to their own - and how it was even possible for bonds to break there in the first place. From what I've read/seen, 13+!Koushirou is not exactly self-conscious, but he does contemplate the achievements of his other self and his own lack of filter.

Taichi, on the other hand, is an even more interesting case - I also tried to summarize his nature as a logical continuation of a post-02 universe in which the events of Tri and Kizuna never took place. Part of me really wants to dive deeper into comparing their different progressions - and I cannot ignore the idea that 13+!Taichi might have a bone to pick with Kizuna!Taichi (mainly but not exclusively for having been so careless about Agumon). He definitely seems more prone to mask his feelings with a charming attitude...
