Headcanon that Chris has no sense of fashion at all. He spent his childhood training under Gerard and had no time for these "normal" things. And since he had to look like the CEO of Argent Arms he had to look the part. For most of his life he had Kate, then Victoria and then Allison help pick out suits and stuff since he would otherwise live his life wearing combat outfit.
Since all the people who helped him out with these things are dead, he has been wearing the same set of suits for like eons till they start to wear out or have bloodstains from impromptu monster hunts. He then has a mini breakdown over ruined suits as he is suddenly missing his family so much and how everyone he loved either became insane or ended up dead.
Enter Peter who decides to fucking sew new suits for his grieving boyfriend because Chris has suffered enough he doesn't need any of this thank you very much.
Chris now shows up at work in an artfully tailored suits hugging his body everyday and has everyone thirsting over his ass. It keeps Peter amused for a long time.
