HE IS
Back to Vega this time, with a cute little cat Pokemon! Itās kind of a counterpart to the Houndour line, with the evil team using a lot of them along with Houndour. Plus thereās the obvious cat/dog thing.
Maneko is a Normal/Fire type cat, starting off strong with an adorable little kitten! Maneko is more than just cute though, as itās also a yokai in disguise! The splitting tail makes it seem that Maneko is based off of a cat yokai, the nekomata. Iām not too familiar with the nekomataā, but the tail splitting into two is an important part of it. Itās a good choice, and Iām glad it wasnāt just a cat.
Bakeko becomes a Fire/Dark type, making an odd change in typing. I donāt really get having it change from Normal to Dark, but itās relatively harmless. I really like the messy looking hair, and the dark colors, and itās two tails are more obvious. Another strange, but harmless, detail is the change in eye color, from red eyes to yellow, but to be honest I like Bakekoās eyes more.
The Maneko line has a good design on top of being based on mythology, which Iāve mentioned liking before. Itās no different here, which is why the Maneko line gets three ridiculously buff Pikachu out of five.
ā because you're really funny and also your Raiden ass-posting got me into metal gear (also we haven't been mutuals for that long so idk if I'm like supposed to answer?sorry)
NO THATS FINE OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH ;_________;
Cupricorn is a goat. This seems obvious, with the design and species name being āGoat Pokemonā but it took me until it evolved to realize that it wasnāt. I though I was looking at a other horse. This is no fault of the game, but my own lack of attention. That is all, moving on.
Cupricorn is a pure Steel type goat Pokemon, and a cute one at that. It doesnāt really look like a Steel type though, looking much more like a normal type. It lacks any definite Steel type traits aside from maybe itās horn, but that is a very small part of itās design to base the whole typing on.
Hornikel too is pretty standard, with a few more fantastical elements like the jet black front legs and horns, both of which look like theyāre made of metal. It does a better job of conveying metal than Cupricorns relatively plain design. I do like the blue eyes as well, as theyāre a small touch that kind of stick out amongst the solid white and black.
Goabalt has become a Steel/Dark, with the visciousness to match. Itās body is now more obviously metallic than both of itās pre evolutions, with the front legs looking almost mechanical, while the hind legs look like theyāve been replaced at the knee. The few red marks help with itās more intimidating appearance, and the darker overall color scheme helps portray itās new typing as well.
The Cupricorn line starts out pretty blandly, but it does get better as it evolves. That being said, Iām not a huge fan of this Fakemon, but thatās more due to my personal preference than anything, so Iāll be fair to the Cupricorn line here and give them three ridiculously buff Pikachu out of five.

Fire cat to electric fox, it's time to review another Vega Fakemon! Plasmox, the pure Electric Generator Pokemon. This is another one that's just kind of okay to me, being an electric fox with no neat twist to it as far as I can tell. The sprite is kind of boring, with an odd choice of yellow and purple coloring. It can work sure, but it doesn't really do anything for me with this. Props for a cool sounding name at least. Blitzune, still pure Electric, now the Shock Pokemon, is about in the same place as Plasmox. It's just a bigger more animalistic electric fox. The color is used slightly better here I think, and I do like it more than Plasmox from a design standpoint at the very least Yeah, this one turned out kind of short, but there's just not much to say here. If anyone finds a connection I'm missing let me know. For now, Plasmox is just an "okay" Fakemon, nothing really bad about it, but nothing standing out either, so the Plasmox line gets two ridiculously buff Pikachu out of five.
From pill bug to potted plant, today itās a review of the tanky Grass/Water Snalo line!
Snaloās got a lot going for it, itās got a good type and a good design. I especially like how the transparent pot letās you see Snaloās face peeking out. The little red eyes and the way itās looking out is oddly adorable. It also reminds me of those hanging plants, which was probably intentional
Serplant, besides having a wonderfully punny name, is a simple evolution. The head pops out of the pot, a vine acts like a tail, and the plants colors get darker, nothing too drastic to change it, which I like. Snalo already looked good, and Serplant doesnāt change anything, expect looking a bit less cute, but that comes with growing up. Having Water Absorb is the only Ability it could have had.
The Snalo line is a good, cute Fakemon, one that fits right in with some of the quirkier Pokemon weāve seen in the past. It could easily fit with the likes of Pallosand. For this reason the Snalo line gets four ridiculously buff Pikachu out of five.
DRAGON DRAGON DRAGON DRAGON. Ahem. Yes. First dragon of the Tahook region. I may be a bit excited here.
Fire/Flying Embird is a great start to the line, mixing red and purple with the flames coming from itās head and wings. I especially like how itās head has that flaming crest coming down to look like a beak. The lack of feet is a little strange, but as the next two stages have them I assume theyāre hidden in the feathers.
FlambĆ©nt is a great middle stage, taking the wings and making them bigger, along with making the crest of fire trail off the back of itās head. Itās even got a rather long tail now, which Embird had, but was less impressive. Like many Fire types the tail is on fire, but unlike other Fire types FlambĆ©nt has the whole thing ablaze.
Phenusc becomes a Fire/Dragon, and for the first Dragon type is kind of disappointing. It tones down the flaming tail and the crest, itās body looks oddly smooth, and the Dragon typing itself doesnāt really fit. Thereās no reason a phoenix should be a Dragon type, at least not this one. Thereās nothing linking a phoenix with a dragon here, and it doesnāt even have any draconic characteristics. Something like Altaria gets a pass because itās based on a mythical bird with a dragonās head, while Phenusc just has the Dragon type because.
Despite the disappointing final evolution, Embird and FlambĆ©nt look great, and Phenusc isnāt anywhere near my dislike for the bad Teddiursa clone a couple reviews back. With that in mind, the Embird line gets three ridiculously buff Pikachu out of five.
