31+buddie
for kisses🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
Hi Yelena- sorry this took a little bit to get done ❤️ IDK how well this actually fits the prompt but this is what I thought of 😆 Anyway if you would like a song to listen along with this, specifically this version of Brown Eyed Girl is the exact vibe.
31. Pulling away from a kiss, whispering words of love against each other’s lips.
It was early morning and Eddie found Buck in the kitchen. The soft morning light filtering in through the windows, hitting the little frog sitting next the sink, air filled with the smell of freshly brewed coffee and a hint of dish soap.
And he stood in the doorway, just watching this person that he loved so much exist in this space. He fit there, always had.
"Brown Eyed Girl" was playing quietly from Buck's phone speaker and he was softly humming along while waiting for the coffee pot.
He knew that Buck had felt at home here for years. And this small shift in their relationship had been inevitable.
If Buck believed in the universe, maybe Eddie could believe in it again too.
Buck finally caught him in the doorway and his cheeks went pink, but he continued humming as he took Eddie's hand and wrapped an arm around his waist and began to sway, right there in the kitchen.
And the warmth that bloomed in Eddie's chest made tears prick at his eyes. Because he got to have this. They both did.
Buck spun him around gently, pulling him back into his arms, and then kissed him softly.
Eddie pulls back but keeping their foreheads touched together, and lets out a small breath and whispers, "I know that it might be soon," his eyes dart to the clock, "less than 12 hours in, but, move in?"
"I mean we did say I love you less than 5 minutes in, so maybe it was meant to be. I think we always were."
Yeah, he could believe too.
He looks down, registering Buck's words, "is that-"
"I would love to, of course I would. I want this every morning with you. I love you." he kisses him again.
Like a kid again
He forgot where he heard it first. But it was nagging in the back of his brain ever since he turned around and said “I love you too”
Being in love makes you feel like a kid again.
And he did. Almost. As close as he could get he supposes. So he must love her.
He did something reckless and she kissed him.
He did something reckless and she said she loved him.
For it.
It was a familiar weight on his chest.
And something caught in his throat.
Being in love makes you feel like a kid again.
So he must be.
Then he hears again:
Being in love makes you feel like a kid again. Because it fills you with wonder and curiosity about the future. It makes the world magical.
He does feel that way.
So he must be in love.
But not with her.
It’s him.
Oh.
Being in love makes you feel like a kid again.
Title: Slowly, Because I Love You Words: 3.2k
Relationship: Evan "Buck" Buckley/ Eddie Diaz
Rating: Teen
Summary: It was late Saturday afternoon and they were sitting on the couch, Chris scrolling through movies trying to find the perfect Disney movie to rewatch for the hundredth time over. Eddie treasured these moments when Chris still wanted to spend his Saturday with his dad, snuggled in fuzzy blankets and buttery homemade popcorn capitalizing their appetite, because he knew it would eventually come to an end. That part of him so selfishly wanted to let them continue about their routine. The other half of him, the part of him that was screaming that he doesn’t want Chris to be like him, forced him to disrupt the afternoon. “Christopher, is everything all right?” “Yeah, dad,” Chris replies flatly He places a hand on Chris’ knee to get his attention, “You know you can tell me or talk to me about anything.” “Everyone leaves,” Chris says, eyes still fixed on the tv, watching as different titles fly by. __ Or Chris thinks Buck is leaving and it leads to important conversations that reveal lots of truths.
A/N: A gift for the amazing @djdangerlove because of this post. Also a shoutout to @evaneddie @moonlightbuckleys and @matan4il and their close examination of the shooting scene, and shout out to @archerincombat and @adamsparirsh and their meta and thoughts about the will scene because these things were floating around while I was writing their essence snuck their way into whatever this monster has become.

Kiss prompts: Buddie + 16
-Quarantine Anon
The movie Eddie is watching is About Time which I highly recommend, there are kinda vague spoilers for it. Anyway, have some married buddie to inject into your bloodstream.
16. One person pouting, only to have it removed by a kiss from the other person.
Buck noticed from the kitchen the soft sounds of the tv had stopped and were replaced by a soft sob and a sniffle. He leaned out of the kitchen to find Eddie wrapped in a soft blanket with tears in his eyes, bottom lip secured between his teeth.
“What’s up? I thought you were watching a movie?” He asked gently making his way to his husband,
“He…he went back to save her..but then everything was different” Eddie stuttered out
Buck glanced up at the tv where he found a paused Rachel McAdams and Domhnall Gleeson.
“Oh sweetheart. It all ends up okay though, in the end.”
“Yeah. I know. But there are so many things I would change. But I could never bear that.” Eddie whispered.
Buck leaned over him and placed a gentle kiss on the freckle below Eddie’s eye and said, “Well then it’s a good thing time travel is a thing of fantasy. And even if it wasn’t, I wouldn’t change a thing.” He then plants a kiss on Eddie’s lips which he immediately reciprocates.
And when they have a chance to breathe,
"Our son is in the next room so maybe we shouldn't make out like teenagers right now." Eddie giggles,
"Our son is a teenager so he will understand." Buck tries bending for another kiss
"Ugh don't remind me. That makes it worse. Definitely ruined the mood." Eddie flops back against the couch,
"Fine. I have dinner on the stove anyway and I do not want both of us both banned from the kitchen." Buck replies lifting himself from the couch and untangling himself from limbs and blankets.
kiss prompts
19 + buddie for kiss prompts (bc of they're not gonna talk in your wip's let's have at least one of them TRY to talk before the other one is like "nah let's kiss instead")
KJ!!! okay so technically I tweaked it a little bit and im sorry about the angst, but here:
19. One person stopping a kiss to ask “Do you want to do this?”, only to have the other person answer with a deeper, more passionate kiss.
Buck had always thought they would never get here. those months where the red string of fate tied between them pulled and frayed in the middle, the tension nearly to great to bear.
But here they were, fears, doubts, and words either of them never thought they would say or hear splayed out across the kitchen floor. With hesitant eyes fixed to one another, each daring the other to close the cavernous distance between them.
There was nothing left to say.
The tension all different now.
So Buck finally moves from where he has been frozen since Eddie had said, "I made that decision without ever thinking twice about it. It was like breathing, Buck."
And Buck had thought that but that would mean too many things. No one could love him that much. No one could trust him that much. No one should.
But Eddie did.
Eddie loved him anyway. Without even trying.
So he finally moved.
His lips brushing lightly against Eddie's, his breath ghosting over them, unsure if he should take that leap.
"Do you want to do this?" he whispered delicately,
Eddie's hands flew to his waist, spread wide over his ribcage, with just enough pressure to ground him in this moment. And captured his lips with confidence.
And Buck would like to say that this moment was picture perfect. But he was crying and he wasn't sure how or why. Maybe it was from relief, maybe letting himself love and be loved like this pulled a weight from his soul.
kiss prompts
For @elenaazra who requested 5. Throwing their arms around the other person’s neck, hugging them close before kissing them passionately on the lips.
Evan Buckley loves his boyfriend. Like a lot. It’s almost ridiculous. And it almost scares him. Because it doesn’t matter how long they’ve been apart, his heart almost always beating a little faster when they returned to each other’s arms.
But this, this was different. Buck had never had meet you at baggage claim sort of love. Not just ‘I’ll pick you up at the airport’ love. Not just ‘call me when you have your bags’ love. But ‘I will pay for the overpriced airport parking, navigate the overly complicated halls to baggage claim, stare at the tiny infographic flashing by to find your carousel number, and wait for you inside the building’ love. He has that and he can’t believe it.
So yeah. His heart is nearly beating out of his chest as he rides down the escalator to baggage claim, before he even lays his eyes on Eddie.
And when he does the smile that spreads wide across his face is one that is reserved for Eddie and Chris. He almost doesn’t see them because there next to the carousel are Eddie and Chris, dressed in black suits, matching ties, and crisp white shirts with a sign bearing his name.
And this side of Eddie, that is soft, romantic, and sweetly silly is the side Buck cherishes the most because it’s the one most people don’t get to see.
He picks up the pace as he gets closer and if he went any faster it may be considered running. When he finally reaches Eddie he throws his arms around the older man's neck, Eddie drops the sign just in time to catch him, arms circling around his boyfriend's waist and effortless lifting him off the ground a little bit to spin them around.
Once Eddie has placed him gently down back on the ground, he whispers "I missed you" over Eddie's lips before pulling Eddie into a kiss, with his arms wrapped around his neck, that makes up for the week long trip to Pennsylvania for a distant cousins wedding.
Their little bubble is disrupted by Chris' giggles and "Buuck, what about me?!"
He unlatches from Eddie and bends down lifting Chris into a tight hug and whispered, "I missed you even more Superman."
"C'mon you two, lets get Buck's bag and head home. Dinner is waiting." and before either of them could groan and roast him, "Don't worry Bobby sent a lasagna, I just have to put it in the oven."
