hi friends! i have created a few small guidelines about tag lists to help me not get overwhelmed!

you can join the general tag lists at any time, but if you join after a fic has started, i will not be adding you to that fic unless you comment on the fic and ask. you will be added to all future fics as they are posted & kept on their taglists for all their parts unless asked otherwise!! (this decision was made because it just got really hard & overwhelming for me to manage who was & wasn't added to a fic when they ask to be added to a gen list, and so this was the easiest solution!)

the taglists will always be unlimited! i want people to be able to know when their favorite fic is posted! this does mean that you might be tagged in the comments & it may look ugly or jumbled, but it is what it is

if i have tried to tag you a couple of times, and it continues to not work, i will remove you from the tag list.

there will not be taglists for requested imagines. this could be changed & i might do a poll about it.

I'm revamping my tag lists.

If you want to be tagged in my work, I will be making two new lists:

EVERYTHING or SFW only.

Although my SFW will probably still have some kind of romance or suggestiveness to them. Consider yourself warned.

General Tag List

Wanted to make a quick tag list form, inspired by my mutuals who have done this, because my brain is a mess and I never want to spam or forget someone.

You don't have to fill this out! If you don't, I'll plan to keep tagging or not tagging you the way I have been, until/unless you tell me any different).

There are no hard feelings if you ask for no tags or few tags or change your mind later! There's also never any pressure to participate, and I won't take it personally if you reply to tags late (or never) 🖤

You can also feel free to just comment or DM or whatever's easiest~

Hey all, I was reminded by a few mutuals its a good idea to check in on this occasionally.

I use my tag list to tag for visibility in fics I write and tag games.

Life gets crazy sometimes and sometimes we get overwhelmed or just need to step back for a bit, so I'll ask those on my tag list - do you need me to take you off? I don't want to clog your notifications too much. This also goes for if you wanted to be added.

If you prefer that I only tag you in certain types of posts or for certain updates I'm happy to do that as well.

And if you ever ask to be removed and want to be added back later, feel free to message me.

okay, so. there's tag list discourse going on. and if i am honest i have been waiting SO LONG for there to be tag list discourse because i have strong feelings about it but i never wanted to be That Asshole. but now it's a Thing so here i am. oops.

i don't use a tag list. i never have and i never will. i also don't tag people for visibility. i honestly really dislike both because i think they kill genuine interaction in fandom and replace it with a checkmark exercise and also they make my dash insanely overwhelming. there are very few people who i want to be tagged on every single tag game or new thing they post, and for those very few people i have my notifications turned on.

for everyone else, i would absolutely love to be tagged on stuff that they post that they think "oh! alix would like this!" i adore my friends who tag me in games or works they've posted because they genuinely want to know what i think about things, and not just because i'm one of 50 people on a set list.

and normally, i'd say that you know what, if you want to use tag lists that way, that's great, you do you. and really, at the end of the day, that's the case: we can do things different and still get along and share space and interact and that's great.

but the thing that sucks as someone who doesn't use set tag lists is that at the end of the day, i'm kind of cut off from interacting with anyone who uses a set tag list, because being tagged by them is an all or nothing thing. i either have to be tagged in *everything* (which i don't love for the reasons above), or nothing at all (which sucks in the opposite direction).
