I think this is what I heard the most people talking about leaving the theatre, and entertained my friend and I to speculate on the ride home.

Because ultimately, it is not what the show was about, it was a character driven story about stagnation and finding acceptance of yourself and circumstances. However, the questions and mystery did drive a lot of the fans- and the arching plot- forward.

I think the brainscan was not only sensible, but expected. In episode 8 Cain speaks on the mind files, which means the players are made of code. Then Scratch having a brain tumor, I could see it being the techno immortality dream of a dying man. That this was his side project (and its interesting, Queenie could have not even worked on the AI or at CnA but was asked by her husband to participate in the brain scan samples- and thats how she was ‘brought into his mess) and then Cain in his loneliness over being an abandoned project made the mind files physical bodies and a world to exist in so he could have company and entertainment.

However, ultimately, there are so many questions remaining. Why is this computer still running, or more importantly the brain scan headset- in an otherwise abandoned building? Who is paying the electricity bill and for the wifi router? Cain has access to wifi?! He was surprised Ragatha came in but is there a way to communicate with the outside or lure people in? Is Caine and all the brainscanned players being observed by CnA? Like its just interesting because for there to be continuous new players there is something outside happening. There is still possibility after this ‘end’ more people will ‘show up’ and have to face the worst possible news. Or maybe Caine just stops making bodies for the scanned minds- how would players feel on that ultimately.

And we do now the original batch came in through the work project. Ragatha may have come in through a real estate job, maybe an attempt to sell the building. Jax was homeless and may have gone in as a temporary shelter. Zooble and Pomni both explored abandoned buildings… so why was Gangle there? Apparently she literally irl got hit by a truck and recovered. At what point does that lead her to go into CnA? Again makes me wonder if she was near death and someone somewhere is still experimenting with digital immortality.

and when they're playing the baseball game against their evil counterparts, jax also hits the ball but it goes into the foul zone

putting all this together, jax has a canon, consistent level of baseball skill: extremely mid

I really love it when villains/anagonists don't do cliched things and act completely differently than expected. In dangerous situations, it makes the story sharper, spicier (tf I just said ...sorry guys eng is not my native)... ? and feels incredible! 1!! 1! \!!!

He literally realized almost instantly that he was being led by the nose, and it was so damn cool. SO FUCKING COOL. SO CREEPY.

yeah I think so, but even though I believe the tron theory Im actually on the fence if its possible to de-digitalize their bodies or not, it could go either way

but with everything thats been said and been presented I feel like they're not gonna escape, their bodies could be lost forever
