The first one is from Aug 2025 that I still really like the idea of but my art style has changed so much I’d have to restart the whole thing. At the time I really like the way Toad is rendered but I draw him so much closer to canon now that this old ver of him doesn’t look right anymore.
The chibis is are all gonna become acrylic pins which I plan on including in another free merch drop
I have been a Lotis shipper in the dark since s2.5 and then they made it canon and dropped the summer skins, I literally imploded w joy

The funniest part of Tabby being into gay men in the early 90s is that she herself had insane homoerotic tension with Rahne and neither of them realized how lesbian their relationship was
The PLOT!!! More twists and turns? What is Cable hiding?
Spoilers:
Summary:
We open with Ms. Marvel dozing off in X-Force base, streaming TV shows not available at her house (apparently the base in the Adirondacks is loaded up with the streaming services).
Hearing Boom Boom's explosion, she rushes toward the lab, where she is met up Akihiro on the way.
Akihiro specifies that he had been alone in his barracks when he heard the explosion and rushed over too, passing a squirrel on the way (a.k.a. Domino's little squirrel friend).
Tabby was badly injured, near-death, when Archangel showed up and healed her up.
Archangel explains that he was on a date with Maxine Danger, as planned, to gather more intel, discuss business stuff, etc. It is also hinted that he may have a crush on Tabby. (he just wanted to "talk" to her during his fancy dinner date with Ms. Danger.)
When he saw the explosion, he described it as if a switch had flipped in him, much like in War Garden where he turned the clones to beautiful flowers. Only this time, it was a full experience, where he essentially ceased to be and the new angel form took over--the one that could heal Tabby.
Cable then asks Tabby what she remembers, and she states "Not much." Cable fills her in about her making a bomb in close quarter, neglecting to mention Domino, letting her blame herself for Cable's wound. Cable reaffirms that he trusts Tabby implicitly, but implies someone *cough cough* Archangel *cough cough* may have influenced her somehow.
Naturally, Warren doesn't appreciate this, arguing that he was a founding X-Man! He's a hero! Cable retorts that he was also a horseman of apocalypse. How much can we trust that?
Akihiro sticks up for him, and they're gonna go track down the source of this "mysterious influence." Ms. Marvel insists on coming along. Cable agrees with this, then peers off into the forest below as he tells the team to get ready.
We turn to Domino, who crashed HARD. We see what actually happened, which was Cable telling her not to shoot him, she shoots him claiming he "won't listen to reason," then Tabby walks in and she unleashes an explosion. With her luck powers, Domino gets away, naturally.
Our attention turns to a beach house in Green Point, Florida, where Akihiro had tracked the scent using his infernal senses.
The team then splits up, with Ms. Marvel and Archangel on perimeter, while Boom Boom and Akihiro are to find an entrance. While searching, they discuss their recent hook-up.
Akihiro wants to take a step further, showing a glimmer of vulnerability by admitting that he actually enjoyed the time with her, and wouldn't mind being something more.
Tabby dismisses him, stating that he probably just feels like he's in competition with Warren.
We then get a reference to Wolverine: Origins as a Shield security bot appears, with Akihiro quickly slicing it to pieces.
Back to Archangel, Ms. Marvel, and Cable, they're ambushed by an enhanced Nasty Boys. They tussle for a bit, then retreat into the beach house because of Ruckus's sonic blasts.
Back in the house, Tabby and Aki are also being chased by the Nasty Boys. They fend them off, then regroup with the rest of the team.
Oddly enough, the Nasty Boys then dissolve before their very eyes, revealing none other than Mr. Sinister as he takes control of Warren!
To be continued!
My Thoughts:
The main plot still has my attention. What is Cable hiding? I mean, he's definitely lying to Tabby for some reason we're not privy to yet. He 100% only asked Tabby what she remembers just to gauge how much he could get away with. Something bigger is going on. Why neglect to mention Domino? Other than Mr. Future Man Time Traveler wanting to keep his cards close to his chest. What was she talking about? Why the non-lethal shot? Maybe even Cable was accidently influenced to kill future president Kamala Khan! Maybe it was Mr. Sinister! Who knows?! I dunno. I just still think it's none of our suspects, and there'll be a massive twist. I mean hell, we don't even know if that's really Mr. Sinister (or a really competent clone, I guess.) Could be a fake-out. Exciting stuff.
Now onto the other stuff. I mean, I know the whole soap opera aspect is why people (me included) read X-Books, but I'm still not vibing with the side plot, you know? Also, for now at least, going to give some of the dialogue the benefit of the doubt by interpreting some of Tabby's comments as her misreading for the soap opera-iness of it all.
'Cause what the fuck you mean Aki feels like he's in competition with WARREN of all people? a) no. b) I'm sorry, but Aki has been conditioned beyond that. If anything, it's a mind game to make Warren jealous. In which case, the wooing and sweaty hook-ups would increase tenfold. Both to make Warren mad, and potentially fuck with him by also flirting with him in tandem. c) It really seems like the writer forgot Akihiro is bi, because this continues to feel painfully heterosexual to me.
I just-- I get that I'm asexual, and therefore don't always naturally gel with the nuances of sexual attraction, but I'm also bi-romantic. That's to say, I may not be a complete expert on the subject, but the dating dynamics generally tend to be different for queer men, you know? I know it's not a monolith and it really depends on the individual, but it can be vastly different sometimes! Even the dynamics between partners. (Not to mention pervasive biphobia that can sometimes pop up when dating any gender). At the very least, there's a bit more...chillness (not sure that's the right word) involved? When you have a committed partner, at least. Dating is a whole 'nother creature.
Now, that's not to say Akihiro himself would automatically have a healthier attitude by any means, but he's got his own set of individual problems, you know? His experience as a queer man should reflect his attitude. It just feels a little off to me that Aki would be put in a straight love triangle with someone claiming that he's "competing" with another man. I guess that's just a long winded nonsense way of saying I'm putting Tabby's comments on the backburner for now, and I hope we get proper follow-up with Tabby realizing Aki is not quite like that. If anything, he wants to fuck Warren too (he's got a type.) I dunno. I need to sleep on it to formulate my words better.
But I do wish we got at least a bit of Akihiro's reaction before they were interrupted. Like, Akihiro did go out of his way to stick up for Warren. Maybe you could argue that he just did it because he's "trying to look good in front of Tabby," but I don't agree with that. He's a man with a rough past, done some fucked-up things, and is currently on the path of trying to be a better person. He did it because Laura would probably do it too.
Anyway, I don't mind the drama itself, but the way it started felt a touch forced, then this happened (I guess I kinda got what I wished for?), so I'm not convinced it'll stick the landing, but we'll see I guess.
I'm mentioned this previously, but I would've much preferred the drama to center around fighting over who is the "better" disaster big brother figure to Kamala.
We have "I was a founding member of the X-Men and very rich" Warren Worthington III, a flashy "classic hero" struggling with darker impulses. As an Original X-Men™ and one of Xavier's first students, of course he'd want to set a good example for the next generation of mutants! Mostly by showering her with fancy things.
VERSUS
"I would both kill and die for my little sisters" Akihiro, who probably hasn't seen his sisters in a while because of the whole Hellverine thing. Did he even stop by at any point after his resurrection? I doubt Logan would've said much, if anything. He probably misses them. And then we have Kamala, whose got that hero streak in her like Laura. And she has a relatively normal family life, so she's more innocent like Gabby, and does stuff like fanfiction clubs and stuff. I would be shocked if Aki doesn't see moments here and there that remind him of his sisters. Maybe even struggling a bit with reflections of "what if things were different?" (As in, what if he and his sisters actually got a normal family life?) Plus he's currently struggling with being half-dead, hosting a demon inside him and all that. He would lowkey personally hunt down anyone that tries to hurt her and make it look like an accident.
It would be more entertaining, to me at least. That's all I'm saying.
