(via 30 Photos That Show The Terrifying Power Of The Taal Volcano Which Just Erupted In The Philippines | Bored Panda)
🌋 Taal Volcano, Philippines ⚡
Mostly cloud, but some of that haze is ash, even though we're 200 miles north of Taal. It got thicker after I took this too. Can only imagine what people closer to the eruption are going through.
Don't think the decline in air quality is too noticeable here for people with normal respiratory systems, but my asthmatic ass is coughing a lot and taking extra meds. Have a sore throat from it, too. Couldn't afford new filter cartridges for the air cleaner, either, so that's fun. 😞
(We're staying in for the most part, but went out today because we couldn't put off errands any more.)
TAAL ERUPTION 2020
Posting these as my way of asking for help and prayers for my fellowmen. Our province, Batangas, is currently in a state of calamity. Lots of people in our province, especially those residing near the volcano, are still in need of help. PRAYERS ARE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED. It’s just that it truly is a terrifying time for us at the moment. We can never tell if we will still be safe in the coming days. Please, i’m asking for your prayers, and please, if it’s not a waste of time, kindly share this. Thank you so much. :(

To all my followers in the Philippines
Please stay safe. Wear masks and glasses and stay inside as much as possible. If you can, help out others because right now we are in a calamity and the government is just watching.

The picture shown above is what was seen on Sunday afternoon, the left is from our window’s view while the other is from a relative’s area.
It has been 2 days since the disastrous event caused by the Taal volcano. There are a lot who evacuated the area of Taal, and also in other affected regions. The major ashfall first occured around sunday evening/monday morning. It was said that tsunamis and earthquakes may occur, although we have been experiencing the earthquakes already it isn’t anything major. So far, the people from other neighboring areas are at alert if in need of evacuation, that includes my family, and will journey far from Taal. From this event, everyone is taking action at once and are helping one another by bringing relief goods to evacuation areas. Help is also given to those who asks, especially those who left their pets at home. Everyone is working so hard, others have also donated money to programs that needed support for the people and animals affected in the calamity. Furthermore, there are news that also said “the worst has yet to come” there are those who believe that there is a more devastating eruption to occur in the near future. For everyone who are affected, please stay safe. Let’s all pray and hope that we will overcome this, we will be resillient.
