The ghosties are a pretty welcoming bunch! Since the whole premise for this net was to connect writers who write very casually (literally our motto is “we post and then we ghost”), I’d say the environment is pretty chill. We don’t even require you to post fics regularly! If you have at least one fic on your blog, that’s pretty much guaranteed entry into this net (so long as you follow the other rules of the application too!) 

We hope to see your application! We have a fic event coming up soon that the admins and I are very excited to reveal, so we hope that you can join that too when the time comes! 

HSHQ TASK 033 / NEXT GEN. BASTIEL ( @bastivvn )

totally not-an-accident, very much bastiaan’s from the very start, the unexpectedly blonde twin girls that came from thoroughly beautiful yet mismatched parents. 

needless to say, ariel getting pregnant in the first place was a surprise. the couple had slept with each other in a semi-regular basis but still saw other people whenever they see fit, and despite ariel’s propensity to take everything to stride, she thought that being married to someone and having another person’s baby was entirely too much, and it wasn’t as if she was going to take off with her lover à la anna karenina and count vronsky. thankfully, the baby was bastiaan’s, and thus started the most terrifying adventure of her life. 

they were very much sure that the bragança curse of twins would not reach them, ariel was a twin and she was sure that ‘these things usually skipped a generation, right?’. turns out it doesn’t, and two people who had no business in raising children were unceremoniously thrust into raising two. when it came to names, ariel had fought bastiaan so that she could name their daughters after gertrude stein and edna ferber, he had refused, of course, for he definitely did not want their daughters to be named after dusty grandmothers. so she settled with female author names that sounded more modern, at least. 

leonora carina van oranje-nassau ( lily donaldson )

ariel’s uncle leo thought that leonora was named after him, and sweet ariel would only nod in response. the girls were raised as the exact same age, no one was older than the other, so for the longest time the girls thought that they came out of their mother together at the same second. leonora was intelligent from the very beginning, something that shocked her parents -- for her curiosity in the natural sciences certainly did not come from them. she had perfect grades, got scholarships that she definitely did not need, and pursued higher education in the most prestigious universities in the world, earning her a phd in astrophysics from oxford university. but she inherited her parents’ easy gait, making her both chill and intelligent; a terrifyingly intimidating combination.

evelina maeve van oranje-nassau ( martha hunt )

evelina is much less independent as leonora. she clung to her sister growing up as much as she did to her parents, oftentimes trying to insert herself to other people’s interests even though it doesn’t really reflect her own. in her childhood, eve begged for painting lessons to become closer to her mother, and tried her best to listen and absorbed as much as she could during physics classes at school. neither were for her. so she found herself travelling the world trying to ‘find herself’, the way that only the rich could afford to do. fortunately for her, the twins inherited their parents looks and bastiaan’s height, and eve found her own piece of stardom as she signed to a modelling agency. she enjoyed the spotlight and the fact that she didn’t have to share, eve shared her mother’s sunny disposition and her father’s propensity of breaking hearts. needless to say, she only had to walk into a room and all the attention will be directed towards her.
