if Savvy had a T-cog?
she'd definitely be a small excavator or somethin' like that for the mines
Since Sentinel made it so that a ton of bots had their t-cogs taken out before they came online, that means that he would have had a massive amount of spare cogs lying around.
What did he do with them?
My brother thinks he gave them to the Quintessons, but what use would they have for a bunch of t-cogs?
I figure he squeezed out what little energon they may have had, and then incinerated them.
Hey folks! Been sitting on this one for two weeks, done and ready, not wanting to release so close to the Behemoths and just reveling in the fact that for once I have a small stockpile of brews that are done/close to done. It's nice to take a break and not worry about what's next.
Anyway, this is a complete rework of my Transformation Cog item I did a few years back. For those not familiar with the source material or just need a refresher, the Transformation Cog, or T-Cog, is from Transformers and is the organ that allows a Cybertronian to transform into (and scan in later continuities) an alternate mode.
The original version was a reworked version of the Druid's Wildshape feature, with a focus on beast forms rather than vehicular ones. This time, I've gone the other direction and made various types of vehicular alt mode, each for a different purpose and giving you related benefits. A focus of this new version was, as with most of my reworks, refinement of the old idea and simplifying its mechanics to be easier to use. I think I've accomplished that goal, but we'll see how she plays.
I pulled a lot from the Shifter race from Ebberon, as well as the official Transformers RPG by Renegade Games, which is a pretty robust RPG in its own right, though a touch complicated for my tastes (maybe worth a System Spotlight in the future). Eventually, I would love to use this new version as a base for a beast mode T-Cog, and make a Cybertronian lineage that incorporates perhaps an even more simplified version of what I have now. Something to think about.
Anyway, that's it from me, hope y'all like the update! Stay safe, don't forget to love each other, and I'll see you next time.

I bring some Sparkling headcannons. Feel free to use them :D
All sparklings no matter what Alt-Mode they emerge with have claws. These claws allow them to cling onto their creators easily as well as defend themselves if they ever feel threatened. Over time these claws eventually become dormant only ever re surfacing in adults as a flight or fight response.
Those who emerged in litters tend to selected the eldest as a group leader however this is not always the case for some litters. The lead sparkling can been seeing protecting, comforting as well as defending their younger siblings when their creators are not around, this often leads to close family bonds that last life-times.
When sparklings start learning to transform for the first time will often sit and watch adults or older siblings do their transformations first. However their first time can result in half transform states or bittie's rolling around on the floor pretending to be in their Alt-Modes trying to activate their T-cog.
Lastly sparkings have very good hearing as its one of their first senses to be fully active before their optics and other senses. Because of this sparklings quickly learn to recognize their creators voices, however a down side is that they quickly learn words both good and bad resulting in most first words being swears or insults. (oh dear)
Hope you enjoyed these little headcannons :>
These are so cute!!!
It reminds me of a feral optimus x shockwave mechpreg post for some reason. Probably the claws. I really like this

T-Cog on leather
Started painting an IDW T-Cog on some leather. It's based off the cog held by Pharma in a fan art made by @pastelpaperplanes.
Thought it'd be a nice aesthetic to have on a jacket once I'm done.
[Pharma did not make this post]
Hot take joke bit- Arcee's helm vaguely resembles a transformation cog, which the Functionist Council emulate. The twelve of them arguably overcompensating for not being (trans) women unlike 'Cee, and get angry about the capacity for change. Huh wait- why is this familiar.
Of course Arcee’s helm only takes up this look in EXRID (her helm also looks like this in G1 and Cyberverse), not the look she had from her initial reformatting surgery from Jhiaxus. So we rewrote this joke:
Arcee: hey Jhiaxus do you think you could code in some audial buns with grooves for the CNA surgery? Like a transformation cog, since I'm trans. Doesn't have to be 1 for 1, just reminiscent.
Jhiaxus: of course my lady (proceeds to not do that because it doesn’t fit his idea of a woman)
Arcee, later: Jhiaxus is such a transmedicalist scraphead
Later, the Functionist Council: we are the pinnacle cog of alt mode and police body shape
EXRID Arcee after her surgery from Ratchet: Fragging finally I have my helm-shape that loudly declares my transness. It’s so lovely <3
All we're saying is this is good fanfic material stuff (of something that clearly wasn't intentional) with real parallels of how hateful cis folks will appropriate transformational/realization symbology/aesthetic and deny anyone seeking a better fit for themselves, trans or no. We might throw this into the next chapter of Addendum to have this comment in there when she looks in the mirror
The artifact of Amalgamous Prime is the Transformation Cog, which enables Cybertronians to transform themselves and even other objects and beings in a manner similar to Amalgamous. Aside from mass, there are no physical limitations to what one can become through this legendary relic that mimics and enhances the power of its respective Prime.
The Transformation Cog itself is also the namesake of the slang term ‘T-cog’. There is no such thing as a T-cog in the Nizziverse. Transformations are not dependent upon a single, tiny, load-bearing piece. They're an inherent part of a Cybertronian’s physiology throughout. When people refer to ‘stretching my T-cog’, it’s in regards to pushing the limits of what their body can transform into if the shape, mass, and/or size is a bit too incongruous for their robot mode, which is saying a lot.
But it’s just a metaphor and a saying, in reference to the legendary Transformation Cog that can allow people to shapeshift the way Amalgamous does; The idea behind the phrase is of a transformation so implausible, so much of a stretch, that even this legendary artifact is going to struggle bridging the gaps between these two forms. Which is of course an exaggeration, but that’s just language for you.
