If you follow me for a long time or like daily, you know that I kind of like doing these chalanges for myself and what I decided to do was clean my skin.Ā
My skin has always been normal until I hit puberty and then it started to get oily and I got a lot of blackheads and fungal acne, which I still do. Itās not as bad as it was but right now I hate my skin for being such a wreck and that I allowed my skin to get like that.Ā
Now I donāt have a lot of money. Like forreal I have like 10⬠in my wallet and skin products are extremely expensive but Iāll try to do the basics first.Ā
Iāll post before an after later on.
Okay, I wonāt be posting daily but weekly becasue daily is just too much. This is just for intruduction.Ā
So what I found out on day 1 is that my skin has blackheads, redness, pimples and fungal acne, which are not really acne but more like those bumps on your face
Okay so the basics:Ā
Do not touch your face. Like try avoiding it because the dirt from your hands can get into your pores. Itās really hard but I gotta do what I gotta do.Ā
Donāt squeeze your pimples or acne or anything on your face. It will only irritate your skin and make it worse.
Wash your face at least twice a day and if you sweat.
These were pretty much the basics I knew and then I started educating myself with Hyram, a skin professional and hereās the summary.
Know your type of skin:
So you pretty much have four types: oily, dry, combination of both or normal.Ā
How do you find out is that basically, you wash your face, put on a cleaner and wait 1 hour to see the results.Ā
So if your face is oily, your face will be shining or sweat-like.Ā
If dry, you will feel tigntess on your skin and well, dry skin.Ā
If itās the combination of both, you will find both of those on different parts.Ā
I mean, Hyram explains it better so Iāll just put the link >> here
So I did that and my skin is pretty normal but oily as well.Ā
Anyways next was cleanse your face.
Cleansing balm, oil or water for makeup removal. Donāt use the wipes because they are irritating your skin.Ā
Donāt use products that have Sodiym Laurly Sulfate
Wet your face
Apply your cleanser and GENTLY! put it on your face. Max 45 seconds
Rinse it out and wipe it with a clean towl. Pat it on your face gently, donāt rub the towel.Ā
Next we have exfoliating
And I really didnāt know what the hell that means but itās basically the process of removing dead cells off your face.
You have physical exfoliation which is really not recommended but if you do use it, use it gently on your face and max once a week.Ā
Then you have chemical exfoliation, which is much more preffered and if youāre just getting startedd itās great to use low percantege and do it once a week and then with time, you can do it at least few times a week.Ā
And final is moistruizing
Which was like the only thing I have been doing but stopped for some weird reason.Ā
Avoid products that contain: SD alcohol, alcohol, isopropyl, fragrance and parfume
And basically gel or moistruizing cream but you can find more about moistruizing for your skin type >> here
So yeah, I decided to do this but currently itās raining agressievly and I wonāt really go to the store right now to buy things but when the weather settles, I will. I think Iāll make this a process.
Also I just started this. I am far from knowing about skin care ruitine and there is so much more to know. LIKE SO MUCH but Iām a beginner so this is just a start for me.Ā
Also one important thing is if you take care of your body, the body will take care of you. So I usually drink detox teas or herbal ones without sugar. It sucks at first but you get used to it. Just google it but be careful because some sites donāt really know what they are talking about.
