This is going to be a dystopian (:0 shocking) sci-fi world with a borrower Tommy who has a special wristband that lets him sizeshift, a gift from a long lost friend.
The au is mainly sbi centric (because I have a very very hard time writing anything else, though believe me I will try one day), other than Tommy there will be avian hybrid Philza, piglin hybrid Technoblade, and shrunken phantom Wilbur who got shrunken due to technical issues with a device he was tinkering with (and now needs to figure out how to get back to normal size).
The sbi are all first class, first district people, which, though it does make them seem stuck up and posh, they donât actually know about the crumbling world of the lower districts.
Tommyâs been forced to steal to survive, and while shifted into human form, accidentally loses his way and finds himself in the higher districts, where he runs into Phil.
âŚyou can probably guess that Philâs hybrid brain goes to âchild-its-child-why-sad-keep-safeâ
Phil offers to take Tommy to his house, wanting to help him as well as pry information out of him to try and find out why heâs so scrawny
Tommy (reluctantly) takes up the offer because free food and a chance to steal something of actual value so he can get a lot of money, two birds with one stone in a wayâŚ
Oh and I forgot to mention that the sbi is kinda famous/importantâŚ
So they go to the sbiâs house and Tommy meets Techno and Wilbur, who are also enchanted by the blond. When Tommy sees Wilbur, he loses it for a moment, thinking that heâd finally found another one of his kind, until Techno explains the situation and Tommy feels ashamed he let his instincts control him like that and almost force him to shift.
They have dinner and game night, over which they bond with Tommy a lot, and even offer him to stay for the night âcause itâs dark out.
Tommy says yes, knowing how dangerous it is to walk the lower districts streets at any given point, especially at night, and they set him up in his new bedroom the guest room.
In the middle of the night Tommy wakes up from a nightmare and accidentally reopens a stab wound that he got a couple night ago (I did say the lower was dangerous after all), therefore his body shifts down to borrower size in order to heal it faster.
He canât shift back until itâs healed, and now heâs at a upper class house with people that have been nothing but kind to him, though he knows that once they see him for the pest he is theyâll kick him out.
Fuck.
. . .
Thatâs about what chapter one should be, though I wonât start it for a while, homework is murdering me and I used to be at a really chill school with basically none of it soâŚ.
Please please please ask me about this, I would love to answer shit about it :D

I got this prompt a bit ago from @lycaclientt ! I always love some good olâ found family and angst so hereâs a little one shot about it!
also Iâve been pretty busy lately so my next writing pieces (chapters for something to remember and our little brother) may take longer than expected to come out but have this while you wait! :)

âIM NOT LIKE YOU, IM HUMAN!â
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fundy knew that heâd never had a normal childhood. He didnât even have a family until Wilbur had found him when he was five. Of course, that didnât make his life any more normal.Â
Wilbur was a borrower.
Fundy didnât care about that, though. Wilbur was still his father, even if he could fit in the palm of his hand.
It had all started when the thunderstorm did. Years ago, there was a thunderstorm that scared him so badly that he had left the safety of his box in an alleyway and tried to find some form of shelter from this terrifying storm.
Eventually, he had stumbled into an old abandoned house. It was easy to sneak into when the door was falling off its hinges already. Rain pelted against the cracked windows as Fundy tried finding any place in the house to muffle the sounds blaring in his sensitive ears. He had passed the kitchen and dining room. They were too open, too many windows showcasing the sudden blasts of light outside.Â
Fundy ended up stopping in the living room and huddling up on the old dusty couch. It looked rat infested with holes in the fabric and foam, but he couldnât complain.
He fell asleep after a few minutes but he couldâve never expected what happened next.Â
Apparently, once heâd gone to sleep, a large colony of borrowers came from the walls. They didnât seem to react so kindly when they noticed a human walking around their safe haven.
Later in his life, Fundy would hear about how eager his colony was to get rid of him back then. Luckily, one borrower in the colony thought differently.
Wilbur soot.
His father.
Not biologically, of course, but as soon as Wilbur saw the scruffy, dirty human child, he fell in love and knew he couldnât let anything happen to him.Â
From that day forward, Fundy became part of the colony. Well, at least to Wilbur, he was. Everyone else didnât like him very much, either completely untrusting or scared of him.
However, once they realized how valuable he was, able to do things more efficiently and faster than any borrower, more of the colony accepted him.
Even as a child, Fundy was able to farm in the backyard easily because of his size.
Even over a decade later, Fundy was able to farm easily because of his size. But he didnât want to.
Can you blame him? It just got so boring after a few years.Â
When Wilbur gave him one of the rooms in the old house and helped him get clean and have food, Fundy started to look like an average kid.
Eventually, he found a school and friends, just like a normal kid. Everything was how he dreamed it would be.
Until he went home.
Home to his colony in an old house where he had to do his chores, gardening and doing whatever else they couldnât do just because he was human.
It was fine, though. Until Wilbur grounded him for seeing his friends. Â
All he wanted to do was go out with his friends so when Wilbur said no for no reason, he snuck out, let any other teenager would!Â
Wilbur found out when heâd been seen sneaking into his bedroom window and made the colony think there was an intruder. The leaders were very angry that the colony was put on lockdown for a false human intrusion. But nothing compared to how Wilbur felt.
He was angry, Fundy could tell just by his posture, and the stern look on his face confirmed it.
His dad tried yelling at him, scolding him for risking himself and scaring the colony⌠it only heated up from there.
âWeâll itâs not like I have to try hard to scare the colony.â
âWhat is that supposed to mean, Fundy?â
âI mean, look at me! I donât belong here. "
âOf course you do. Youâre my son. "
âIâm only here because Iâm useful! Otherwise I wouldâve been thrown out years ago!â
âThatâs not true⌠I wanted you to be my son because I love you. It doesnât matter what your size isâŚâ
Wilbur started to get nervous. In all the years Fundy had been with him, heâd never acted out like this. Wilbur watched as Fundy crossed his arms, subconsciously moving closer to his small father, looming over him. WilburâŚ
Wilbur was scared.
Scared of his son.
Scared of what his son could do to him.
âFundyâŚI-I think you should go to your room⌠to calm down. "
Fundy didnât listen.
âIt does matter what my size is, Iâm not a borrower, dad! Iâm not part of the colony!â
Fundy moved closer, only a few inches from Wilbur, before he bent down and reached for his father, looking so small compared to his hand.
âIâm what the colony is supposed to hide from!â
Wilbur felt the giant fingers wrap around his waist as his son lifted him off the ground.
Fundy pulled his father inches from his face.
âIM NOT LIKE YOU, IM HUMAN!â
Wilbur flinched hard at his loud voice. Fundy could feel the fluttering of his small heart against his fingertips.Â
Fundy looked down at his father, struggling helplessly in his hand, and his eyes widened.
âD-dad?â
Wilburâs eyes snapped to his. They were full of fear while his struggles continued.
Then Fundy realized⌠in all the years that heâs been with the colony, heâs never held a borrower before, and the feeling of holding his fatherâs life in his hands made him realize just how small he really was.
âFundy, p-please put me down.â
His father pleaded with him, and a wave of guilt and remorse crashed into him. He slowly lowered Wilbur to the ground, watching him stumble back as soon as he was set on even ground.
Fundy opened his mouth to speak, but no sound came out. He didnât know what he could say.
The only thing Fundy could think to do in that moment was stand to his full height and walk to his room, closing the door behind him.
It took Wilbur a few minutes to calm himself down, but soon he was walking to Fundyâs door. Heâs ashamed to say he hesitated to ring the bell that announced Fundy of his presence.
Fundyâs door opened but not to the terrifying human Wilbur expected to see⌠instead it was his son, teary-eyed and seeming smaller than Wilbur ever thought he could be. Like he was a little scared homeless kid again.
Wilburâs heart melted at the sight, beckoning him closer as Fundy leaned down, kneeling on the floor to hear what his father came to say.
âFundyâŚâ
There was a slight waver in his voice when he spoke and Fundy caught it, his shoulders dropping more.
âCome here⌠youâre okay,â
Wilbur reached his arms up in the air, not unlike a toddler asking to be picked up. Fundy was confused but very carefully scooped his father up in an open palm, as if waiting for a protest.
When none came, he slowly brought his hand closer to his chest until Wilbur reached out and grabbed at the fabric of his shirt.
To any normal human, it would just look like a teenager holding his hand to his chest, but looking closer, youâd see a purring borrower cupped carefully in shaking hands, holding onto the fabric of a baggy band shirt like his life depended on it.Â
âI-Iâm so sorry, dadâ
âI know⌠itâs okay, Iâm right here⌠Iâm not going anywhere, I promise.â
Fundy seemed to shake more at that. Heâd acted out and almost hurt him. Heâd yelled at him and grabbed him⌠yet his father seemed completely relaxed in his hands now, held against his chest.
Tears fell from his eyes as he squeezed his hand to his chest so very gently to press his father closer to himself⌠heâs never hugged Wilbur before, there was always a slight barrier between them, always slightly distant, shying from each others touch.
But now, being so close, both of them thought that maybe it wasnât so bad⌠maybe theyâd have to do this more often.
Slowly Fundy drifted off while leaning against the wall, still holding Wilbur in his hands. Soon after Wilbur saw this, he too closed his eyes and slept, head resting against where he could feel his sonâs heartbeat.
It was the best both of them had slept in a long time, and if Wilbur started going to Fundyâs room before bed after that, no one said anything.
The rain that falls like tears.
Just like his father and older brother, Wilbur was a farmer. They make ends meet with the crops they grow, and their farm is only growing bigger and bigger, attracting more customers and more workers. However, that was when they were young kids. They helped the farm when they could, and they were promised to take over the entire thing when Phil retired.
Phil has yet to retire, but both Techno and Wilbur are adults, so they spend most of their days on the field. However, the weather wasn't what it used to be during their childhood days.
For the past 16 years, the weather was⌠decent. In a way that for a decade and a half, there was no sunshine or rain. The weather was damp, humid, and boring. The sun made its appearance (as it usually does every day), but it doesn't shine. The clouds would sometimes cover the sun, but it doesn't block out any sunlight, nor does it rain.
They were glad that thunderstorms and hurricanes barely showed up anymore, but the lack of⌠any sort of weather was slowly but surely damaging their farming business.
The lack of nutrients to the soil causes the crops to lose quality, effectively losing the big business their dad had built.
After months of research, Wilbur had found out about the God of the Weather. He needed to look for the God and pray for at least any rain or any sunshine. Wilbur felt he and Techno would take over the business soon, and if nothing is done about the weather, their farm industry would be gone in a matter of seconds. Wilbur left their home, leaving Techno and Phil to tend to the crops.
Weeks upon weeks of travel, and he had finally met the weather god. Wilbur first notes down that the god looked very young and then sees how unemotional this kid was. He bowed and spoke respectfully but was only met with a blank stare and a blank introduction. Tommy, the god of the weather.
Wilbur pleaded with the weather god and asked for at least a little rain or a little sunshine, but Tommy refused, saying he couldn't. After days of talking, Tommy agreed to change the weather after doing certain tasks around the forest he lives in. They spent months together, slowly building a friendship as Wilbur continued to complete tasks.
Wilbur learned that the old weather god, Theseus, had died, and Tommy was chosen at birth to be the next vessel for the weather god. However, it proved to be quite difficult for Tommy to control his ability and grew up to be unemotionalâ trying to train his powers every single day.
On another empty day, Wilbur confronts the god once more. He's been doing everything Tommy asked, no questions and no complaints, yet there's still no updates on whether or not Tommy will do his end on the deal. He feels he's stuck in this forest, trying to desperately please the god with no luck. He hasn't even heard of any updates on his family, and he's beginning to be worried, anxious, and irritated. As he angrily spoke of his frustrations to Tommy, the god's expression didn't move. Not even a flinch.
Wilbur finished off his rant and eventually said he'll leave this forest. He'll find some other way to help his family. He just can't let his father's business go down the drain. He bid his goodbye to Tommy, bowing in respect.
The clouds darkened, and as he walked away, raindrops gently slid off his glasses and onto his skin. It was raining.
Behind him, he could hear a faint sob. Tommy was crying
This was supposed to be a gift for @bittydragon and iâm so so so sorry that itâs so late and kind of crappy but there will be a part 2 so i can make it đŤđŽđ˝đ˝đŽđť. For now enjoy!
Wilbur was a complete idiot. But in his defense, the lake wasnât that far from the cabin ok?! He just wanted to attempt to find that pretty salmon again, but he had completely forgotten that it was winter and that meant the fish were gone. Along with any other sensible animal. It also wasnât his fault that the universe truly seemed to hate him and decided a blizzard would be wonderful right as Wilbur decided to head home. He cursed bitterly as he narrowly avoided another tree that just seemed to appear out of nowhere. Prime, he could barely see 5 feet ahead in this stupid blizzard. He could practically hear Technoâs annoying droning about his pathetic lack of survival skills. Then he saw it. In the distance. A giant opening to a cave. Wilbur laughed incredulously. Maybe the universe didnât completely loathe him after all!
With a bit more spring in his step, Wilbur hurried over to the entrance to the cave. He didnât even pause to think about how the vastness of the cave felt a bitâŚoff. All he knew was he was finally out of that gods-forsaken blizzard, with what felt like 3 out of his 4 limbs still intact. He waddled further into the cave, still shivering from the cold that had taken root in his bones. He eventually found a dry spot against a cave wall and settled down, content to pass out for a bit, before he heard it. A strange whooshing sound. Wilbur glanced further into the darkness of the cave, where the sound had come from. The sound came again and Wilbur sat up. What can he say, heâs a curious person. He slowly made her way towards the increasingly loud noise until he saw a vague form in the darkness.
He got closer and slowly became horrified at the sight of what looked to be a child. He could barely make out a head of blonde curly hair. Wilbur couldnât see far enough to see the kids lower half, but he desperately hoped he was wearing a thick pair of pants, because the kid didnât appear to be wearing anything for a top. There was no way that the poor thing wasnât practically frozen solid. Without another thought, Wib began sprinting with energy he didnât know he had towards the fallen child. He realized soon that he had seriously miscalculated the distance between him and the kid and that the kid was a lot closer than he had thought. But- that doesnât make sense, that would mean that either he had poor eyesight or that the kidâŚwasâŚhumongous.
Wilbur stared in increasing horror into the large face of an unconscious giant child. No,wait. Not unconscious. The kidâs eyebrows were furrowed tightly and he was breathing unevenly, letting out short puffs of cold air. âThat explains the weird huffing soundâ Wilbur thought grimly. The childâs cheeks were a harsh red, his eyes were squeezed shut as he weakly fought off the cold. And even though this was a giant (who shouldnât exist, by the way), it was a giant child. And Wilbur had a chronically bleeding heart. So he made his decision. He didnât know how, but he was gonna help this kid, whatever it took. Besides, he was raised by the Blood God and the Angel of Death. He was no stranger to the impossible.
So Wib steeled his nerves and marched up right in front of the childâs nose. Even if he was on the verge of unconsciousness, Wilbur couldnât help but feel a bit intimidated by the poor kid, but he pushed those thoughts away. The kid let out another violent puff of air, blowing Wilburâs hair away from his face and in sort of a knee jerk reaction, Wilbur placed his hand on the tip of the kidâs nose, though it probably looked more like a slap. Not that Wilbur had time to worry about it since he heard a sharp intake of air and 2 things happened in quick succession.
One, Wilbur watched as the boyâs eyes shot open, pupils constricting into thin slits as they landed on his comparatively small form, and he barely had a second to think âblue, just like Philâ before the second thing happened. He felt something cold and smooth wrap around his ankle before his whole world was flipped upside down. Wilbur tried to see what was hanging him upside down and he only caught a glimpse of red before he heard a small pained groan. He turned to see that he was being held up at about eye level with the giant boy, who was slowly sitting up on shaky pale arms. Both arms. So howâŚ? And then he looked and saw what was holding him up. A giant red scaled reptilian tail. One that was connected to the giant boy. Oh no. When the boy had finally sat up, his icy blue eyes focused on Wilbur and suddenly he felt paralyzed. He couldnât move. He could hardly breathe. All he could see were those icy blue eyes. A naga. An honest to gods naga was staring Wilbur down with an emotion that he couldnât focus enough to pick apart. Judgment? Or gods forbid, hunger.
In Wilburâs trance of fear, he didnât notice the boyâs quivering mouth, or his winces of pain with every minute movement. He did notice when the boy ground out a question.
âA-are you fucking stupid?â
Wilburâs brain lagged as he processed the question. What?
âWhy the hell are you here? Iâm not sure if you noticed, but there is very much a blizzard outside right now. In fact, how did you even get here?â the naga snarked
When Wilbur did not respond, the tail holding him gently shook side to side.
âHello? Did you die of cold already? Or did my awesomeness shock you into silence?â the naga asked, as if he wasnât shivering violently every other second.
There was another moment of silence before Wilbur swallowed, channeling Technos monotone deadpan.
âWell maybe if you quit hanging me upside down, i could probably form a coherent sentence and respond to you.â he droned. He didnât expect the kid to jolt like heâd had a sudden realization and a flash of remorse to slide across his face before he was suddenly flipped right side back up.
âCome to think of it, arenât snakes supposed to be asleep for the winter or whatever? That would mean that you would need to be as wellâ Wilbur said as a dry attempt at a joke. Surprisingly, the kids' eyebrows furrowed at the remark.
âI can't hibernate yet, I have to wait for myâŚmaster to come back.â he said sheepishly
It was then that Wilbur looked the child in the eyes for the first time.
âHow long have you been waiting for your âmasterâ to come back, exactly?â Wilbur asked, studying the childâs expression.
âOnly a little while. It doesnât matter anyways, because my master is coming back.â the naga snapped.
Wilbur raised his hands in surrender and it was quiet for all of 5 seconds before he started up again.
âWhy do you need your master to hibernate anyways?â Wilbur asked, leaning lazily against the tail that still held him captive.
The kid's ears twitched as he replied âHe might need me, whatâll happen if heâs in danger and needs protecting and Iâm off somewhere snoozing the winter away. And besides, for me to hibernate, conditions have to be met.â
âWhat, like it has to be 30° exactly for the little snake to get some sleep?â Wilbur teased with a huff of laughter.
âThere has to be someone in my storage.â the kid deadpanned.
It was then that the kid looked at Wilbur. Who couldnât move. A glint grew in the childâs eye. A glint Wilbur did not want to touch with a 60 ft pole.
âYou know⌠I donât have to hibernate all in one go. I can sleep in sections.â The naga stated.
Wilbur felt a bead of sweat make its way down the back of his neck. âThat's⌠interesting,â he mumbled.
âYeah it is. It also means I donât necessarily have to wait for my master to get back to get a little bit of sleepâ the kid purred.
âUm, yes you do- what are you doing?â Wilbur cried out as the tail that was holding him abruptly dropped him into a giant hand.
âFinally getting some real sleep, I hope. I havenât slept properly in 3 wintersâŚâ the naga said quietly as he pinched Wilburâs waist between two clawed fingers.
Wilbur felt a brief flash of sympathy wash over him before it was quickly overshadowed by fear as he was raised above the fanged mouth of the young naga.
âWait! Donât do this man please!â He cried, desperately trying to wiggle out of the nagas hold, to no avail.
The naga paused and brought Wilbur back to eye level. Wilbur let himself hope that maybe he had talked some sense into the naga. That is, until he opened his mouth.
âI promise you wonât die. It wonât even hurt! I swear on the gods.I just have to do this.â the naga croaked before closing his eyes, tilting his head back, opening his mouth and raising Wilbur above it once more.
âNo no NO!â Wilbur cried, panicking as he was lowered into nagaâs mouth. He barely saw how the nagaâs eyebrows furrowed more and more with every desperate cry.
He yelped as he was dropped into the unpleasantly warm cavern. He instantly tried to scramble back to the front of the mouth but the naga had quickly snapped his teeth shut, nearly taking Wilburs hand and effectively sealing his fate in the same breath. Wilbur began to breathe harshly as the world slowly tilted backwards, making him slide to the back of the mouth. He let out one last desperate cry before was gulped down. The whole way down the nagas throat, Wilbur hardly let himself move. This was really happening. His journey came to an end when he finally fell into what looked like the nagas stomach.
Wilbur sat panting in the stomach of the naga, trying his damndest not to cry. What kind of cruel fate was this? To die to a giant sickly snake child? He felt the naga sluggishly poking at him from the outside, but he couldnât even bring himself to lash out at him.
âLittle dude?â the naga asked, the voice reverberating all around him, causing Wilbur to cringe slightly.
âHow could you do this to me?â Wilbur muttered, grieving quietly for the life he was supposed to live.
He felt the naga flinch slightly at his words. He heard a gulp above him and Wilbur felt a tendril of dark satisfaction curl around his heart, pleased that the naga was nervous.
âI told you, I can't go another winter alone.â the naga whimpered.
âSo you fucking swallow me? Kid, the solution to loneliness isnât murder!â Wilbur bellowed.
The naga flinched again before two hands pressed against the stomach. âB-but it isnât murder! You arenât going to die, I-I promised!â
Wilbur laughed humorlessly. âThe gig is up, youâve already swallowed me so Iâm not going anywhere. You donât have to keep up with that ridiculous lie.â
âIâm not lying! You're in my storage stomach idiot!â the naga cried indignantly.
âYeah! A stomach! I donât care what words you put in front of it, a stomach is a stomach, which means I'm going to⌠die.â Wilbur stressed, voice breaking at the last word.
âNono! Nagas have two stomachs, one for consumption and one for storage. The one for storage doesnât have any acids that can kill you.â the naga explained hurriedly.
Wilbur took in the information silently.
âSoâŚiâll be ok?â he asked tentatively
âYes,â the naga exhaled, sounding relieved. âLike I promised.â
âYou did promise, didnât you?â Wilbur said, letting out a tired laugh
The naga didnât respond and Wilbur felt his surroundings shift as the naga curled up quietly.
It was silent for a moment and Wilbur felt his eyes drooping. How absurd. He was quite literally lying in the belly of the beast right now. He leaned back against the walls of the stomach and made himself comfortable. Although the kid had reassured him thoroughly that he wasnât going to die, heâd also made it very clear that he wasnât letting Wilbur go. At least for a little while. He might as well get cozy in his new prison. Just as he was dozing off, he heard a yawn from above followed by a hum.
âTommyâ
ââŚWhatâ Wilbur murmured, only half conscious.
âMy name is Tommy. Just so you knowâ The naga- Tommy confessed.
It was silent for a moment before Wilbur huffed, softly amused.
The sequel to OH MY GODS THEY WERE ROOMMATES?! also posted on AO3. Itâs been like two years but here we goooooo!
TWs: Fear of death, Spiders. 3.8 Words
Wilbur is having an absolute *field day*. He tripped and dropped a whole bundle of firewood, got stuck in a spiderweb and nearly eaten, oh and then he was also captured by a human. IT WAS FANTASTIC! Then he met his soulmate who APPARENTLY defies the laws of the universe because rules are meant to be broken I guess!
Soulmates; for some theyâre lovers, for some theyâre best friends. Either way they are meant to be inseparable pairs. Everyoneâs got one; that one person with whom youâre supposed to spend your life with. Theyâre tied together with a metaphorical string, fate pulling them closer and closer together until the day they finally meet. Both bear matching marks on their wrists and have the ability to message each other by writing on their arm.
---
Wilbur considered himself a very skilled borrower, a very well-educated borrower. With this information you may be wondering, how exactly did he find himself trapped in the sticky web of a garden spider? Itâs a very short story. Unfortunately, this house was not the most ideal for a borrower, but it was his home, and moving was a lot of work. The biggest flaw was that it had children.Â
A very loud, rambunctious teenager with an unfortunate fascination with bugs, insects, and mud. Meaning it spent most of its time running around the yard. The yard that Wilbur had to traverse during his day-to-day life.
Now how does this tie in (ha, tie) to him getting stuck in a spiderâs web? Unfortunately, the child had just gotten home, yelling at the top of its lungs of course, about its latest school project. Involving insects. And usually said child did all its bug hunting in the backyard. So he knew he had to hurry if he wanted to make it home alive.
But hurrying when youâre in the process of carrying a stack of firewood in your arms usually tends to cause accidents, which is exactly what happened. The brunet borrower couldnât see where he was going over the pile of sticks in his arms, and ended up tripping over a few rocks and was sent stumbling right into the sticky webbing strapped to the tall gnarled roots of the oak tree in the backyard. Wilbur had been trying very hard to avoid the webs whenever he went outside, knowing the orb weaver it belonged to was not one to be crossed. It wasnât a particularly massive spider, not bigger than him, not like ones heâd heard stories of. But it was much bigger than any ants or bees heâd seen in the garden. And he knew how bad their venomous bites were.
His little brother had had a run-in with it once, before theyâd gotten separated. It had left him unable to move for a few days, and the nausea and fever that followed was awful. Wilbur had tended to him the entire time, and thankfully Tubbo had recovered.
The tall borrower wondered where he was these days, and prayed to Prime that he was safe. Though currently, he was praying for his own safety. Death by an orb weaver was not swift and painless. Heâd be paralysed by its painful bite, and then wrapped up in the silky webbing to be eaten later⌠just like the moth heâd seen tied up in its web the week prior.
âOh here it comes now.â he thought fatalistically as the webbing vibrated, and the bright yellow marked spider started climbing down the large web, its beady eyes trained on the brunet. Wilbur stared up at it with a frown, trying not to let his fear show. It wasnât like he wanted to die. Quite the opposite. He was actually absolutely terrified, but struggling didnât work. Heâd tried at least a dozen times. The borrower looked down at his chest, glaring down at his ugly yellow sweater before closing his eyes, waiting for paralysis to take him.Â
Damn. He didnât even get to say goodbye to his soulmateâŚÂ
He opened his eyes again and stared down at his arm, his trench coat sleeve covering the pictogram on his wrist. It was a picture of a music note, a sword down the centre of the treble clef. Wilbur sighed sadly and looked up at his impending doom with a fierce glare.
âI hope you get indigestion, you yellow menace.â he spat as venomously as the orb weaverâs own poison. The spider hissed in response, pinching its venomous pincers. So apparently, spiders can speak English. Cool. Unless this spider was secretly his soulmate. But Wilbur sincerely doubted that. Never in a million years had he heard of cross-species soulmates. The idea was just absurd.
âOh go shove a moth in it wonât you? We both know youâd never beat me in a fair fight.â Wilbur snarled out, glaring into the spiderâs beady eyes.Â
Suddenly he felt the web vibrating more, continuously, but the garden spider wasnât moving. The orb weaver seemed to pause, going still. If spiders were intelligent, heâd say he could see the gears turning in its head.
âWhat? Calling your mate are you? Am I a lunch date for the two of you or something??â
Then the spider ran away.
â...Uh⌠okay⌠bye then?âÂ
Anxiety pooled in his stomach as the webbing vibrated more and more, but it wasnât a spider. The ugly yellow bastard was already scuttling off into the tall grass. Wilbur could feel the tremors travel from the ground to the webbing, he could see the ground shaking. Thunder roared under the earth as something big stomped closer and closer, and before he knew it, he found himself engulfed in an impossibly massive shadow, a pair of giant shoes planted centimetres in front of him. Well, bigger spider could definitely be crossed off the list!
âWhereâs that yellow spider⌠I know itâs around here. Itâd be perfect!â a loud voice rumbled overhead, and the brunet hesitantly looked up, and up, worried that his greatest fears were about to smack him right in the face.
And he was proven right as he saw the creature casting the shadow, was none other than that giant blond menace of a human, standing over him, a glass jar in hand. It wasnât looking at him⌠yet, instead scanning the tree branches for⌠the spider apparently. You know what? Wilbur was fine with this. The death traps could deal with each other. The human would probably win but at least itâd be putting the orb weaver out of his misery.
The borrower squeezed his eyes shut, letting out a small startled gasp as the blond suddenly stepped over him obliviously, still looking around the tree for the bright yellow spider. While that was scary⌠he wasnât dead! Wilbur slowly reopened his eyes, shuddering as he felt the tremors still. Now was his chance to get free while the giant was distracted and the spider was elsewhere!
Wilbur focused on one arm to start, trying to rip his right arm free from the sticky silk. Then once he got it free, he could pull his knife out of his bag and-
âWoah⌠whatâre you supposed to be?â a voice cut through his thoughts, and the borrower felt his heart skip a beat. Looking down, the shadow had changed. Slowly he looked up, and up, and met the gaze of the massive human. It was tall and lanky, taller than most humans heâd seen in his lifetime, yet had a child-likeness to its face. Massive icy blue orbs bore into his own, and Wilbur felt a shiver travel down his spine, only one word going through his head.
Fuck.
âWell? You can talk, canât you little man?â the human crouched down in front of him, and the brunet gave it the most venomous glare he could muster despite the fact that he was trembling. The borrower rules, AKA his way of life, said under no circumstances should you talk to a human. It usually ended in getting dissected or something painful like that. But also, fuck the rules, this kid just had such an insultable face.Â
âSo what if I can? What's it to you, big man?â he spat mockingly.
âWell, truth be told, youâre pretty unusual, and I just happen to be looking for something unique. Youâre far more interesting than some garden spider thatâs for sure.â the borrower tensed, trying not to show his nervousness as anxiety flooded into his mind like a tidal wave.
âI wouldnât call myself particularly interesting actually. Iâm a bit tied up right now, physically and metaphorically. So how about you help me out and we can just forget we ever met, yeah?â Wilbur tried, starting to sweat a bit.
âHmmmmmm, nah,â the human gave him a toothy grin. âItâs not every day you find a tiny person in your backyard.â in all honesty, yeah that was understandable. But also fucking shit piss hell fuck shit-
The borrower let out a startled noise and visibly recoiled as a giant hand suddenly reached over and wrapped around his small frame, easily ripping him from the spider web and carrying him into the air.Â
âThis- okay how about we make a deal?â he tried nervously, and the human raised an eyebrow.
âWhat sort of deal? Iâll have you know, Iâm an excellent businessman and not easily persuaded.â Wilbur swallowed nervously as he was lifted higher up, held in front of the giant face, the kid nearly going cross-eyed to stare at him.Â
âWell, Iâll tell you the truth. Iâm actually an alien.â he whispered.
âWhat.â
âThat's right, I come from the planet of-... LâmanburgâŚâ the borrower said slowly.
âSounds like bullshit but alright.â the human didnât look convinced, but Wilbur continued the act.
âWh- excuse me?? How dare you!âÂ
âLook pal, I know aliens arenât real. Youâre coming with me, and that's that.â Wilburâs stomach lurched as the human stood to its full height, and he was stuffed into itâs shirt pocket.
âJust a sec-â the colour drained from his face as the giant started fiddling with the mason jar itâd brought outside with it, and started unscrewing the lid. Wilbur had a feeling he knew exactly what it was for, and his anxiety was suddenly heightened. His heart rate went from one to a hundred in less than a second as giant fingers pinched the back of his trenchcoat and carried him into the air, before unceremoniously dropping him into the glass prison.Â
Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck-
He slowly scooted back until his coat pressed against the cold, hard wall. The brunet crossed his arms over his chest, hiding how they shook as he continued glaring up at the child.
âAre you aware kidnapping is a crime?â
âIâd hardly call it kidnapping when youâre the size of a mouse.â the human chuckled in response. Wilbur was knocked onto his hands and knees as the container jolted suddenly, and everything started moving. He took one look at the ground far below before yanking his head back and glaring up at the giant once again.
âN-not even going to ask for my name?â
âWould you tell me if I asked?â blondie raised an eyebrow.
âMaybe,â Wilbur crossed his arms. âWill you tell me yours so I can stop mentally referring to you as âchildâ?âÂ
The human stopped in its tracks, sputtering out an offended string of noises.
âHow fucking dare you! I am not a child you tiny bitch! If anything youâre the child!âÂ
âAnd how exactly does that logic track?â
âCosâ youâre short anâ shit.â the borrower raised an eyebrow this time.
âYes well I think itâs been established Iâm not a human. So you canât hold me to human standards.â
"What are you then? Some weird mutated rat man? Or are you a faerie?" the jar was lifted higher, and Wilbur nearly fell flat on his face.
âAre you going to tell me your name or not?â
âFineeeeeeeeeeeeee,â the blond rolled its eyes. âItâs Tommy, TommyInnit, the biggest man.â
âUhuhâŚâ
âWhat's yours then?â âTommyâ questioned, staring holes into his head with his massive eyeballs.
âWilbur. No title.â
âGot any friends, Wilbur no title?â the human asked teasingly, and Wilbur scowled.
âNot that I can think ofâŚâ
âSo no one to miss you? Well donât worry, you and I can be the best of friends.â suddenly the jostling worsened tenfold, and the poor borrower was beginning to feel motion sick.
Fucking hellâŚ
He tried his best to stay upright, sitting back against the glass with his palms pressed to the curved walls.
âThanks for the offer, but Iâll have to pass.â he bit out.
âWha- why?! Iâm probably- no definitely, the coolest and greatest man youâve ever met!â Wilbur crossed his arms.
âYou put me in a jar, and youâre annoy-ing.â he enunciated the last word. The blond human obviously wasnât happy with this answer. The stupid child sputtered and scoffed.
âWell- yâknow- I- I might seem a little annoying at first- but I promise itâll grow on you!â
â...I donât care.â he wasnât exactly scared of the human anymore⌠it was more like⌠a fear for his safety.
Tommyâs face scrunched up in anger, going bright red, Wilbur thought he looked like a tomato- He yelped as he was thrown against the glass again, and he realised the human was swinging the jar through the air⌠again.
"Can you not??" he grumbled out, but Tommy didn't stop swinging his arm back and fourth as he walked.
"What was that little man? You're so quiet I can't hear you!" the blond replied loudly in an exasperated tone.
"Oh my Prime you are such a fucking child-" he grunted in pain as he was slammed against the glass wall again.
"ALRIGHT FUCK! I'M SORRY!" his stomach lurched and he fell onto his back, but the jar finally stopped swinging.
"Apology accepted."
"Prime, do you humans really feel no shred of guilt?? Empathy??" Wilbur demanded.
"I do but you're being a bit of a dick right now if I'm being honest." Tommy stated firmly, and Wilbur clenched his fists, digging his nails into his palms. He paused, and stared down at his arm. That's right⌠he had a chance to tell him soulmate his goodbyes now! The only blessing the human boy unknowingly gave him. Quickly he rolled up his sleeve,
'Techno are you there?' he wrote quietly, trying his best to remain inconspicuous so as to not get interrupted by the blond human.
'Hi. I just got home.' an answer appeared on his arm, causing it to tingle.
'I have someâŚ' Wilbur paused, dread pooling in his stomach as he thought about what he was writing.
'Bad news.' he finished.
'Ok. What is it?' his soulmate responded, the message didn't look all too urgent, but Wilbur knew that was just how Technoblade was sometimes.
'I'm⌠I'm kind of in troubl-' he started to write, when the jar gave another violent shake, and smooth wood appeared below his feet. Looking around, Wilbur realised it was a table, the big one in the kitchen where all the humans ate. An intrusive thought wormed it's way into his mind at the implications of that.
Tommy sat down in front of him, just staring him down with those big blue orbs. Why did blue-eyed people always look scarier than everyone else?
"Well you got awfully quiet." Tommy started, and the borrower gave him a frown of malcontent.
"Apologies, contrary to what you might think,most people don't enjoy making conversation with their kidnapper." he bit out, pausing to look down at his arm as it tingled again.
"Alright, kidnapping is a strong word pal." Tommy interrupted, only to get ignored.
'With the police?' the message read, and he couldn't help the small chuckle that escaped him, despite everything going on. The human stared at him like a madman.Â
"The fuck are you laughing about??"
"Something my friend said! Is it a crime to want to laugh now?!" Wilbur snapped, giving him a venomous glare. Tommy looked like he was going to yell or something unnecessarily aggressive again, but stopped, a new emotion crossed his features; guilt.
"You mean⌠your soulmate?" the blond asked slowly, in a surprisingly gentle tone.
"...Yes."Â
"Even⌠tiny people have soulmates?" Tommy asked, as if it was some wildly impossible concept. The brunet stopped himself from glaring, and instead swallowed down his anger and worry.
"Yes⌠of course we do. Everyone does."Â
"Actually, I don't." the blond replied bitterly, and Wilbur gave him a confused look.
"What? Don't humans have them?"
"Yes, but I don't," Tommy held his arm up to show the lack of a pictogram on his wrist. "Dadza said I'll get one eventually, but I don't think that's how it worksâŚ"Â
"Yeah⌠you look far too old to not have oneâŚ" Wilbur mumbled. He'd had his for as long as his memory dated back, and Tubbo's had appeared when he was only two or three. Wait- right Techno!
'No not the police! I mean a human Techno! This isn't the time to joke!' he scribbled quickly, ignoring how he could feel the human child's eyes burning a hole in his head. The silence that followed while Wilbur waited for a response was painful, but eventually it came.
'Oh. I'm sorry⌠I donât know what to do. I hope they're nice.'Â
'Techno. Human trouble. Obviously they're not nice!' he wrote back quickly.
'So⌠is this a last words kind of situation?' the message appeared across his arm in slow motion, and a few tears began beading down his cheeks.
'YesâŚ'
"Are you⌠crying?" a voice rumbled above him, and Wilbur remembered exactly where he was. He scrubbed away the tears and glared up at the blond.
"No! Fuck off!" the brunet snapped, despite the fact that Tommy sounded genuinely concerned. His tone had completely shifted, and the look on his face was sympathetic as he laid his head on the tabletop, staring into Wilbur's glass prison.
"Alright, suit yourself. I'm just trying to help." the borrower's brain wasn't paying attention to whatever Tommy said as he watched another human enter the room. A red-eyed man with pink hair, his dark roots stealthily showing his natural colour. The pinket looked nervous, staring down at his arm as he walked behind Tommy towards the cabinet where the cups were kept. Wilbur felt his heart beating rapidly, anxiety and panic pooling in his stomach and spreading through his core once again.
"Hm?" Tommy looked between him and the pinket a few times before he realised what must be going on. Suddenly giant hands wrapped around the jar again and Wilbur felt his stomach lurch once more. Tommy held the jar in his lap and turned slightly, blocking his brother's view of it's contents, but not before the brunet caught a glance of his arm.
Technoblade's arm. Â
"Heyyyyy Blade." Tommy drawled out in the most suspicious tone ever.
"HiâŚ" he replied monotonously.
Wilbur's entire world had just come crashing down.
"So uh⌠what's going on with you? Why are you out here?"
"I'm making tea⌠and this is the kitchen." Techno deadpanned.
Techno was a human. His only friend, who made him feel safe and hopeful- and think that there were still other borrowers out there!
"You look kind of stressed." the blond pointed out obviously.
"Yeah⌠m' just worried about ny soulmate⌠he said some worryin' things and hasn't got back to me yetâŚ" Wilbur hadn't even noticed the new message tickling his arm. He stared down at it in wide-eyed shock.
'I guess I should tell you something then.' the borrower swallowed nervously.
'That you're a human?' he wrote shakily.Â
Technoblade let out a small gasp, before looking around in confusion and worry.
"Hello?" the pinket asked aloud, and Tommy looked at him like an absolute lunatic.
'Help me. Techno I'm here. I'm trapped. Your little brother caught me.' he wrote desperately, panic bleeding into his writing.Â
There was a silence, before footsteps started thudding against the floor.Â
"Tommy." the pinket started, and held out his hand.
"What? What do you want?" the teen asked defensively, hugging the jar tighter to his person with a defiant glare on his face.
"Give me the borrower." Techno demanded calmly, though his aura radiated an intimidating strength. Tommy looked shocked for a minute, before he sneered and shook his head.
"Leave my tiny friend alone and go find your own."Â
Wilbur scoffed. Friendship was not what they had, that's for sure.
"Tommy. Give me my soulmate." the pinket tried again, sounding less patient. The borrower felt his mouth go dry and his heart clench. It really was Techno⌠and⌠he⌠actually wanted to help?
"Your soulmate?!" Tommy exclaimed in pure shock.
"Yes. His name is Wilbur."Â
"I know what his name is! But what do you mean soulmate?!" Tommy demanded, haphazardly setting the jar down on the table so he could make wild motions his hands.
"Hes tiny! How can you guys be soulmates when hes not even human?!"Â
"Don't know, donât care." Techno stated dismissively before picking the jar up off the table, accidentally knocking Wilbur overâŚ.. again. The brunet pushed himself up and scooted back, a nervous look on his face as he pressed his back against the glass. So big⌠even bigger than Tommy⌠scary.
He met Techno's harsh, red-brown eyes, and swallowed nervously. Quickly they softened, but it did nothing to quell the poor borrower's anxiety.
"Well let's get you outta' here." Techno said before he started unscrewing the lid. Wilbur didn't have time to process anything as he was gently slid out of the jar and into the human's awaiting hand. The borrower immediately tensed up and braced himself, squeezing his eyes shut as he waited for the fingers to close around him like vicious claws. But it never happened.
Slowly he opened his eyes again and looked around, hugging himself. Techno was just staring at him.
"UmâŚ-"
"Sorry- I didn't mean to stare⌠this is just really weird." the pinket put the jar down and took several steps away from the counter, moving his free hand underneath the other for support.
"You⌠you knew I was a borrower?" Wilbur asked finally.
"Mhm."
"A-and you never thought to mention you were a human??" Techno looked conflicted, before nodding.
"I figured it might complicate things so I kept it to myself."
"You- I- AHG!" he yelled, tugging at his hair.
"...So mind explaining exactly what's going on? I'm still confused" Tommy interjected.
"Nah. The big kids are busy." Techno replied unapologetically before walking out of the kitchen, and headed upstairs, taking Wilbur with him. Nervousness tugged at his gut, and after a minute, Wilbur worked up the courage to ask.
âUm⌠Technoblade⌠what exactly are you⌠going to do... with me?â the tall human sighed, pushing his bedroom door open with a creak.
âIâm gonna put you down, anâ you can do whatever you want after. Iâd like for you to stay and talk⌠face to face, but I can understand if you donât wanna do that.â he said in an honest voice.
The borrower mulled over the words as Techno walked across the room to his desk. He gently set Wilbur down on top of it, before sitting down in front of him.
âWell⌠I suppose I could stay for a little bitâŚâ the brunet started hesitantly.Â
âSounds good. Why donât we start with how the little gremlin caught you?â Wilbur scoffed.
âIâd hardly call him little, but sure. It involves a web and the worldâs worst garden spider.â
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO THEM ALL! JUST HQVE FUN WOTH THEM â¤ď¸â¤ď¸â¤ď¸
AYUP THANKS FOR THE AMAZING PROMPTS!!!! (Theyâre just so good and I hope I can do them justice!!!)
In Between Living and Lies
âPhil, Wilbur, and Techno are heroes (or villains I canât decide) that work for their own private organization. Recently theyâve been developing a new technology that can infuse with liquid to give the user special abilities (potions).
Wilbur gets his hands on a shrinking potion and decides to test it out. He is AMAZED at just how big everything is and takes the opportunity to explore. After a bit he finds a small hole in the baseboard and he decides to explore the walls and try to find out whatâs been making scratching noises for the past few weeks.
He doesnât worry about rats because heâs confident in his powers but what he doesnât expect to find is a trio of tiny teens.
âAt first things are hostile as Wilbur is suspicious and honestly, a little freaked out by the tiny people living in his walls. He quickly warms up to them however as he gets to know them. Now in his free time he steals potions and visits the teens whenever he can.
âIt all goes well for about a month until the Sbiâs shared house gets attacked. They were all preparing to attack their rivals when Wilbur suddenly remembered the teens and ran back into the house (despite the shouts from Techno and Phil)
He hates it but he has to use his powers to lure the borrowers out because he just doesnât have time.
He hopes they will understand.
â
In Paintings So Divine
âTommyâs hobby is painting and honestly, heâs gotten pretty good at using dollar store paints. Sure they absolutely SUCK and only come in a few colors but heâs learned to use them artfully.
One night he decided to work on something abstract so he drew a HUGE forest with a small man standing in the middle of it.
The teen was almost done but he had used up all of his yellow and blue on the manâs clothes. Begrudgingly he ran to the dollar store to pick up more paints.
âWilbur didnât know how he got here, or where he came from. All he knew is that he liked to play guitar and his name was Wilbur. He remembered having a brother and a father and he remembered the special bond the three of them shared. Speaking of Phil and Techno, where were they?!! He jumped off of the easel and began to pace around on the table below.
âTommy comes back only to find that the man from his painting is missing and instead he seems to be pacing around on the table in front of him?! Also heâs only a few inches tall!?!! WHAT THE HELL!?
â
To Be the Glory and Thine Power
âTommy doesnât want to live this life anymore. He is a sizeshifter that had been captured at a young age by the tyrant Dream and heâs tired.
He doesnât know how long heâs been used as the secret weapon of the king but he doesnât want to be that way anymore.
Maybe thatâs why one day when the castle is under siege he takes his opportunity and he runs. Along the way he meets Phil and the others. What he doesnât know is that Phil is the opposing king of the neighboring country.
-He follows them back and starts to adjust to his new life. Tommy tries his best to hide his powers but one day he has no choice but to shift large to protect them.
Little does the teen know that instead of being terrified of him they are empathetic and truly care about him.
âCue comfort as they try to make him realize that he IS more then what Dream trained him to be and that heâs like part of the family.
â
I hope these are good and that you like them!! Hopefully theyâre not too similar! (sorry if these are weird, I wanted to experiment and have fun with them!)
(Also yes I hope you donât mind but I took inspiration from your au for my last fake fic because itâs so good and I love your writing so much!!)
Swearing. (I know I said I was on break but I wanted to write this now I'll stop)
Phil had always thought of the tinies within his walls as his sons. It even worked better, as it turned out, because they were all siblings, as strange as it may seem. The two oldest were the twins, Wilbur and Techno. Wilbur seemed to enjoy music, as well as showing an interest in theatrics. Techno liked all of the books that Phil had, as well as being the more aggressive one. The youngest, Tommy, liked messing with Phil and his wife Kristen, as well as just genuinely being social. I guess one of them had to be.
He had found Wilbur first. The tiny had been looking for food in the kitchen when Phil had gotten home. He had meant to turn off his music before he walked in, but his arms had been full of groceries. The tiny had been mesmerized by the sounds that had came, and in turn, the tiny didn't move. Phil hadn't seen him until he had placed his groceries down. He noticed a strange shape out of his eye, so he turned towards it. There, in front of him, was a tiny person. The tiny had snapped out of their trance, finally spotting the human. He made a move to run, but tripped and fell on his face. Phil frowned, scooping them up within his hand, and grabbed a cracker out of the cabinet. He gave the cracker to the tiny, and scanned them over for any injuries, before placing them back down and letting them go with a smile.
He had gotten a visit from Tommy next a few days later. "Hey b*tch!" Phil turned around quickly, hearing the voice. He spotted a second tiny, one with blonde hair instead of brown. "Hello?" He questioned. Why were all of these tinies living in his house? Was his place an Airbnb for tinies or something? The tiny shivered, their confidence gone. It made sense, he had to have been at least 10 times their size. "Do you need something?" He spoke softly, not daring to move in fear of scaring the poor kid. "Could-could you possibly get some food for my brothers and I?" They stuttered, trembling like a leaf now. Phil smiled happily. "Gladly." He slowly got up, walking as softly as he could to hopefully avoid scaring them further. He approached the kitchen, grabbing a few crackers, and turning around. He didn't know how many people this tiny lived with, so he hoped five crackers are enough. He slowly approached them, as they stood trembling on the table. "Here you are mate." He smiled, setting the food down next to them and going back to the couch.
The next day three tinies approached him. The brown haired one, the yellow haired one, and a new pink haired one. "I'm cold." The blonde complained. "Now's not the time Tommy." The pink one muttered, probably hoping that Phil wouldn't hear it. "Can I help you boys?" Phil chirped. "Yeah, maybe you could leave us alone." The brunette hissed. Phil frowned in response. "All I did was give him the food that he asked for." That got a reaction out of the group. Tommy shuffled awkwardly, while the brunette turned to face him with a look of shock in his eyes. The pink one glared at Tommy first, and then at Phil. "You-you got food. From the bean. Even though we specifically told you not too?!" The brunette shouted at Tommy. Tommy, in turn, nodded. Phil frowned. "He meant no harm. Please don't get mad at him." Phil spoke softly. He hoped to resolve this conflict before Kristen came home. He noticed that the tinies were looking quite scared at this point. "Hey, I mean no harm, I don't want to hurt you."
Those were Phil's favorite memories of how he met his new sons. And now as he cradled them closely as they slept, he couldn't help the smile that covered his face. He just wanted them to know that he viewed them as his sons. As his family.
