#system headcanon

So kinda like how people with DID split into an “apparently normal part” (ANP) which manages social duties and avoids reminders of their trauma, and an “emotional part” (EP) which is perpetually stuck in fight-or-flight and holds painful memories, terror, and memories of past trauma?

Norma (Main host, She/Her)

Teen (General, no specific age)

Anthro deer, usually wearing the school uniform from her old catholic school

Basically took on the name kind of "assigned' to her by the body's mother after she came out as trans, its a slight modification of her deadname that she feels a bit generally miffed about but but its already on everything. Would change it if she could.

No known formation origin, possibly split off from a previous host since she doesn't have many memories before around age 12-13 and her memory is generally fuzzy around the edges (body is currently 15)

Generally the anxious type, but easily excitable. Tends to mill over issues and problems in circles and drives herself nuts by overthinking. Biggest hitch is trying to act normal and please people, which includes trying to supress other alters. Religious (catholic)

]In constant denial of other system members and any mental issues she has until its literally shoved in her face via brain tumbler.

Likes feminine clothes, though has to make most of hers by hand. Currently trying to figure out a way to add lace to her favorite dress and make more flattering shapes with her stitching. Beanies are a favorite because she doesn't have to think about missing antlers.

Current stance on Raz: Holding a grudge. Very fuzzy memories on what happened, but still pissed off nonetheless. Doesn't fully know why.

2. Micheal/Mimi (Trauma holder, Syskid, They/Any)

Genderless, unlabled

Age slider, fluctuates between around 5-ish to 13/14

Bunny angel thing, usually wearing a white dress/gown

'Norma' was told constantly that Micheal was an angel of protection as a child, and latched onto that when they were young. They wanted someone to help them get through their families abuse, so Micheal wound up forming.

Over time became less of a protective mental figure and more of a protective state theyd embody to help the body self soothe and store fights with family away. They'd become strong enough to take it all.

Pretty skittish and shy, has a hard time coming out of their shell. Will fight if need be, but tends to fawn around adults as a defense mechanism. It's the best way to keep the body safe.

Has a flaming sword. For reasons. While fronting likes to hold sticks.

Likes long clothes, though fine with anything the system is wearing. Would prefer something similar to what they wear in headspace.

Current stance on Raz: Ohhh another child! But they bring up sad feelings, but Mimi really wants to be friends with them...... it's all complicated, but they tries to be nice.

3. Lia (Socializer, Mood Booster, Partial Factive, She/Her)

Formed in preteenhood (Around 10/11) when 'Norma' became fixated on TPT and on Milla. Milla was her idol and became heavily integrated with Lia's identity. Was built around the idea of an ideal teen girl and who 'Norma' secretly wanted to be when she grew up.

Name is a slightly less obvious nod to Milla. Would probably have taken this on as the bodys name if given the chance.

Does her best to be a class princess. Sugary sweet with a nicely tailored personality, particularly good at talking classmates into doing things. Very strict about how she moves and acts, and worries about "breaking character" all the time. Has a hard time recovering is she breaks her script and can become erratic once it happens. Not a fan of Marcy ruining her progress.

Very femme and fashionable. Constantly scrolling through websites and fashion magazines to look for cute outfits, though gets frustrated when she doesn't have anything similar. Bad mail ordering habit.

Current stance on Raz: Well, everyone needs to like her, right? And Raz doesn't like her. That just can't do, can it? Doing her best to be friendly with Raz, though finding it difficult when it seems like he's remembering her doing stuff she NEVER would have done.

4. Marcy (Emotion Number, Protector, They/He)

Formed in childhood, was essentially meant to be a 'mentality' 'Norma' would use when dealing with school related issues. Basically meant to get rid of stress and anxiety so they could focus on school related things such as communication with parents and teachers, scchoolwork, and presentations without issue. If it works it works right?

Name was the first thing he came up with. Ashamed of that fact, but can't think of anything better.

Very much a model student, but not much else. Quiet and likes working alone, but can take charge if need be. Tends to be very neutral and unemotional. Not in a mean way, just tends to not react much to anything that isnt related to academia. Can be extremely bossy when it comes to working with others, which can bring him into conflict with Lia. The two of them butt heads a lot.

Dresses for practicality and appearance, usually a collared shirt and slacks. Much more willing to wear masculine clothing than some other alters. Has a favorite sweater.

Current stance on Raz: "God why does my rival have to be a child. I don't want it to be a child but every other part of my mind wants it to be the child." Mildly annoyed by his presence but doesn't go out of their way to bother him.

Formed at an unknown age, through having to disassociate from anger and hurt to avoid being harmed further by family. Gained a form around the threat of 'Norma' becoming a delinquent if she didn't obey their parents and was kicked out. Most of 'Norma's negative feelings became things they had to hold.

Didn't have a name until recently.

Jaded and bitter. Hates everything about their life, and lashes out when they can. Believes that the only way it can save itself is by cutting everything off and running away, but is constantly stopped from doing so. Tries to convince other system members of the same by any means possible. Has genuine intentions but terrible methods. Hate hate hates the body they're stuck in. Chronic swearer.

Hoodies.

Current stance on Raz: "FUCK OFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF" Blames him for everything that happened that day.

Introject of Sherlock Holmes, Specifically from the BBC series which was a long term hyperfixation for them, with the sherlock books themselves being a special interest. 'Norma' used "Sherlock would want me to take care of myself" as a way to motivate taking care of the body. A bit of a meld between the ACD and BBC Sherlock. Misses John :(

Take a wild guess.

Though a bit eccentric, tends to observe rather that interact. Usually just in charge of making sure his body is safe, healthy, and taken care of, but when he bites down on a possible case, he doesn't let go no matter how hard others try to get him to. More willing to bend the truth and the law to get what he wants than most other alters, or at the very least is more open about it. Frustrated about being stuck in the body of some random american teenager and tends to look down on his "peers". Can seem cold and rough to others, but does genuinely care. Has a subtle but mediocre British accent when fronting.

Despite being fully clean in this body, craves cigarettes.

Generally masc presentation when he fronts for a while, though usually doesn't front for long periods of time. Wearing scarfs feels nice, but he's not very picky. If given the choice, would go for a turtleneck and sweats

Current stance on Raz: Feels very, very bad for being so focused on him that he completely neglected to try to investigate anyone else. Extreme shame. Refuses to front when he's around, though slowly coming around to him.

Formed after the Maligula Incident as an attempt to block out the memories and deep guilt from it. The reason why everyone elses memories of that day are particularly fuzzy. Also helps with recently developed Hydrophobia.

A giant sea monster. Pretty apt name for something that mentally drags you down, right?

Usually only fronts when reminded of what happened, around large bodies of water, or during storms. It tends to not speak verbally, relying on telepathy to communicate, but even then is generally quiet. Likes to hide in dark spaces. When cofronting, tends to make other alters shut down.

They formed very recently, no established fashion sense yet. Seems fine with whatever.

Current stance on Raz: Tries staying as far away from him as possible. Doesn't like looking him directly in the face out of shame. Will try to leave when they see him.
