This...this is exactly what happened with me...!
'She could have cut you off'
I know System Failure is already a Monster but if you ever want to tinker with the cut off idea,,,,, I'm sat.
Fantastic chapter, love seeing Susie navigating the hard conversations and being furious whilst still loving someone. Complex and real and messy.
There exists one au version of System Failure in my drafts folder, where alternate universe Ana who I named Charlotte, cuts Toto off and works for the simulation department at Red Bull 😂
She also had brain cancer and never bothered telling Toto.
He hires a private investigator to find her because he realises that she never touched her trust fund 💀
i forgot to change his batteries my bad
“Please wait patiently for the failure of the system”

Whoever made this -- it's BRILLIANT!
R.I.P: New York City
ok i probably don't know enough western sci-fi and maybe some other shows murderbot's been watching are based on some irl works... but in system failure that show they watch with ART, "somewhat believable historical drama about humans moving out of the solar system, but with space monsters, rescues and hauling asteroids at planets" it just. sounds exactly like premise for the expanse series (both books and serial). am i crazy or is that a genuine expanse reference??
idk maybe it's more common but the expanse is the only sci-fi i can think of where forced asteroid hits on a planet were explored as a realistically terrifying warfare tactic! if it turns out it is actually common pls do recommend those stories to me, i always appreciate sci-fi recs
but yeah in my beautiful mind they're watching the expanse on that trip even if it's just a coincidence i know for a fact murderbot would enjoy the show
