My writing style is very visual, and cinematic. I cast actors and characters as my characters, and play scenes in my mind as I work them through. I make inclusions for cinematography, lighting, color schemes, and editing, then distill all of that down into words for book, since not movie. That said, it's probably no surprise that music and sound also play a major role, so each of my books also has integrated music and a soundtrack.

Each book has a specific musical scheme in the way it's used, and since I'm multi-genre, that scheme varies, sometimes greatly from book-to-book. Things like era, the nature of the story, and overall tone can influence what music is used, and how, but I never let any of those things limit how I ultimately use it. Sometimes there's a direct component where specific songs are included in the text of the book, sometimes music serves as a narration, and sometimes it's just vibes-based.

This isn't just a style choice. I include a printed soundtrack in the books, and make the soundtracks to stream on YouTube for the same reason I do my own cover art: I'm looking to create a more 3D experience than just words on a page. And since the methodology changes from book-to-book, here's a look into the process of how I created the soundtracks and used the music for my published books, Another New World and The Big Bad Wolf, and a sneaky-peaky about what's coming for SryCharlie and The Brothers Flynn.

Another New World

The soundtrack (listen here) for this one, was a direct reflection of the events of the story. As was also the case in the preceding film, Oh Buster, Where Art Thou?. The songs themselves were produced well after Buster's death, but things like period accuracy or time don't hang me up. One of my favorite things to do in all of my arts is to mix time and era up, since I'm more interested in impact than accuracy. Since both of these projects were so rigid in being about real events and real people, it was about the only point where I could get into the creative flow, and not have to adhere to anything specific.

This soundtrack also acts as a complete narration for the events in the story. Every major event is outlined by the songs and the play order. Unlike most of my other works, the songs do not appear in the actual text of the book, this soundtrack is purely a companion to the story to expand on the events, and Buster's timelessness quality.

The Big Bad Wolf

Like Another New World, this story is also narrated in song, but in a much more vibes-based way (listen here). Some of the music is mentioned or included in the actual book, some is period-specific, but genres and eras are mixed for max impact. These songs, like the story, start off hopeful and upbeat with a clear outlook, but sink into a greater sense of desperation, isolation, and fear.

So far as the upcoming works that I've got going simultaneously, they also each ave distinct methodologies. Here's what you can expect.

SryCharlie (coming soon)

SryCharlie, is actually my first book that I'm freshening up for re-release. The story follows Charlie Clement, a young man who has sequestered himself away from the world as a shut-in who barely escapes the total-loss fire of his home, then has to navigate the new world with new experiences and new people. Specifically, he uses music for emotional support, and thematically, they are used in the story like a variety of spells. His use of music goes back to his childhood, and as his near-constant companion, there is no real need to include songs on the soundtrack that he wouldn't be listening to already, so it will not follow a narration like in the other stories. His attachment and use of music are much more about who Charlie is, and how he experiences the world, and will ultimately include a much larger array of songs than ANW or BBW.

No specific ETA for Srycharlie just yet, but I will continue to post progress updates. It's my main focus at this point, but I'm also pulling together a new story called The Brothers Flynn. This is going to be something I've never done before for a few reasons. First, it's the quickest turnaround I've ever had, most of my stories have taken a couple of decades of revisions and revivals to get into final form, or that process is still on-going. Secondly, this is both a book that can be read as a standalone, or followed further as it sets the stage in the present for an upcoming historic series called Fields of Gold, about their ancestors. The story of the ancestors came first, and about a thousand years ago, I only just had the experience of understanding it could use an introduction.

The Brothers Flynn (coming less than soon)

The standalone aspect of TBF is as follows: Beau Flynn is dead.  His last request was for his asshole, estranged sons to go on a treasure hunt.  What could possibly go wrong?

The series aspect is that it will ultimately connect to the historical series Fields of Gold, about their frontiering ancestors. It's still in the construction phase, but so far I'm aiming at a combo plate of songs being used and narrative vibe. Generally, I do this at the end of a project, so this is the first time in doing it during production. There is another story here about the insane amount of synchronicities that are coming out in the building of this story, most to do with music, but that's a story for another day.

In both cases of SC and TBF, they're still under construction and haven't been fully assembled yet, but you can expect that the complete SryCharlie soundtrack is coming soon. I have some vague ideas about how music will be used in some more distant projects in the pipeline, which will likely have completely different schemes than the above, but for that, you'll just have to wait and see!

11 hours and 5 min before Jared post this, I sent this to Google AI at 7:18am EST looking for a possible astrological explanation, as to why a lot of people who did me wrong in the past including some exes and former love interests that went nowhere had some pretty bad things happen to them eventually. Mind you, Google AI did kind of misinterpret things a smidge from what I could tell but you know. Also, it's all four royal star conjunctions in my chart if you go by the 5 degree orb a lot of astrologers go by these days lol.

As the plot developed and the campaign began to take shape, a few other characters came into being. I modeled one after Sabnock, the Judeo-Christian demon who is associated with war and ruin. Another, the main NPC as it happens, is a dwarven devotee of Ptah.

On doing some deeper research, I encountered two new facts that I was previously unaware of:

1. In some versions of the mythology, Ptah has a lion-headed son named Maahes, who is associated with war and blades.

2. Ptah is often depicted as a dwarf. Not a Tolkienesque fantasy dwarf, but an achondroplastic dwarf. People with achondroplasia apparently were often given high roles in Ptah’s temples and frequently employed as craftsmen and skilled workers.

What an odd little coincidence.

Even more interesting, Ptah is widely associated with the act of creation. He is after all the creator god, the one who whispered the whole pantheon and world into existence, the one who opens the mouths of the dead. Coincidentally - or maybe not - I have recently done a chaos magic working to bring creation and creativity into my life, to help me re-spark my ability to visualize and to paint, write, code, create. And now, Ptah has arrived, complete with a few of his associated symbols.

"Ride the Bolt", "Taken Away"...

YES PLEASE!! I have been waiting for this for a long time Knowing it was going to Happen for me, I KNOW it is around the corner. That Tasty Carrot has been Dangled one too many times by my God/s towards me, I now NEED this, and I KNOW it is coming! Interestingly enough, I wanted to know what my God/s are wanting to tell me, just a few mins before I saw this reading on my recommended page, so I checked the time, and it was 18:02, that was about over 40 mins ago, so I checked what it means in the Bible, in the Strong's Concordance as that is what my own God/s use to communicate with me when I am not channeling or having visions or hearing Them, or anything like that. It is specifically Strong's Concordance that my God/s use with me, angel numbers are rubbish with me, it is shallow and I feel most of the numbers mean similar things to one another, which all hold very shallow meanings to me, so I get confused as to what my God/s are trying to Say to me. Angel numbers are not rich and juicy as to what they mean, but in the biblical way, it is VERY deep, maybe that is why my God/s use it for me, to get across what They want to say. 

Anyway, so I checked out what 1802 means in the Old Testament, and it means this:

dalah: To draw, to lift, to fetch

And I then got what this 1802 number means in the Greek, which 1802 means Enoch, the man who walked with God and then was Taken up to Heaven without seeing death. He was "Taken Away"... and THEN, after reading up on Enoch, about 2-3 minutes later, I saw this reading on my recommended page and was like... WHAT!? YES!!!... so... yeah, VERY synchronistic for me!! Not going to lie, I am VERY excited, as I KNOW this is going to happen for me, and pretty soon, so I am ecstatic with excitement! I have been given Tastes of this, little feelings and experiences from my Beloved God/s and my Beloved Spirits of all of what is to Come for me, and what I can Potentially have in the future, and.... IT. IS. AMAZING. So, I KNOW this will Happen for me, and this just gets me even more excited!! I resonate with this reading a lot, thank you for this reading. I appreciate it, now I am buzzing with energy and excitement!!

Been researching more of Enoch, and I noticed in my book “The Complete Messianic Aleph Tav Scriptures (Paleo Hebrew Edition) compiled by William H. Sanford, and I checked out the part with Enoch being taken to Heaven by God, and, the Aleph Tav Vav is stated in this book, right next to when Enoch is taken to Heaven!! Here is what is said in Genesis 5:24:

“And walked Enoch with (Aleph Tav) Elohim: and then he was not there because Elohim took (Aleph Tav Vav) him.”
