Somebody asked me, “Why is dancing such an important thing for you in a man? Surely there are more important qualities to look for.”

And yes, of course there are. But I believe dance is one of the few moments when people reveal themselves without realizing it. The body snitches before the mouth does.

The way someone leads in partner dancing says a lot about how they handle closeness, control, patience, and trust. A good lead doesn’t drag or overpower. He guides. He pays attention. He creates safety without making the other person feel small. That softness people notice? It’s intentional restraint. Strength choosing gentleness.

And the beautiful thing is, real partner dancing isn’t domination. It’s conversation. One person leads, the other responds, and both listen with their bodies. The best dancers almost look like they’re protecting each other while moving, like they’re holding something sacred. It’s intimacy without needing words. Just trust, rhythm, and care. Tiny movements saying, “I’ve got you.”

So no, I’m not settling for a man who doesn’t know how to twirl me like I’m his whole world, then set me down so gently it feels like I never left the ground.

Not someone without rhythm. Not someone who stands still while I move.

Pokémon Masters gave Lillie a new outfit and teamed her up with Solgaleo so I wanted to do this redraw of a screen shot I took of the game! Lillie has been my favourite Pokémon character since I first played Sun and Moon so I love when Masters gives her a chance to shine!
