Indications of a Fated Relationship

ʚɞ Sun Trine / Conjunct North Node ʚɞ This aspect creates an immediate connection and an instant sense of familiarity. Both parties might feel that this is destiny before the first date even begins. The Sun person will feel like the best version of themself around the North Node person. The Sun person also triggers growth in the North Node person. It is likely that a familial bond was shared in a past life.

ʚɞ Pluto Conjunct Mars ʚɞ The attraction present between both parties is intense. It's an aspect that forces confrontation upon your deepest desires and your greatest pains. Many intense experiences will be shared together. Both people can pick up on the hidden intentions and motives of one another. This may turn into an all-consuming relationship, one that leaves you without any energy left to give.

ʚɞ Sun Conjunct Saturn ʚɞ The Saturn person has karma to work through and must turn to the Sun person to find guidance. Any changes the Saturn person experiences are due to the influence of the Sun person. A sense of maturity is present from the start, both people feel as though they could settle down together. They can depend upon one another, but Saturn might feel threatened if the Sun person begins to grow without them.

ʚɞ Moon Conjunct Saturn ʚɞ The couple feels a deep responsibility towards one another which acts as the glue that holds their bond together. Oftentimes the Moon person must work through their co-dependency issues. The Saturn person is reliable even if they have to learn how to be more open towards the emotions of the Moon person.

ʚɞ Venus Conjunct Saturn ʚɞ Both parties might feel hesitant to enter into a partnership despite the powerful attraction that exists between them. You may meet one another in a sudden or unexpected manner, and unexpected events will continue to take place over the course of the relationship. ʚɞ North Node / North Node ʚɞ This is an incredibly strong karmic tie. An immediate pull that goes beyond physical attraction was felt right away. It is as if their souls have been yearning for one another for many long years. The destinies of both individuals are in alignment, they were fated to be together. Both people will face and have faced similar spiritual lessons, this brings them closer together. The couple shares a similar vision for the future.

ʚɞ North Node in 1st House ʚɞ The North Node person teaches the first house person how to be true to themselves and live authentically. The first house person's identity is strengthened through this relationship. It is likely that both people got along right away, they find it easy to be in one another's presence. Connecting on a deep level is an effortless process and respecting boundaries is never an issue. Nothing about this relationship feels forced. Both parties feel as though they were fated to meet one another.

ʚɞ North Node in 7th House ʚɞ A magnetic pull brought this couple together, they feel compelled to be together. The North Node person is especially attracted to the house person, they see their future with them. Their relationship came into existence to learn about partnership because this is something they have yet to master together. This can present challenges and it is easy to fall back on patterns exhibited through the South Node. Finding a balance between the needs of one another is key here.

It may feel as though your souls have merged together. An incredibly intimate bond that looks at all your vulnerabilities through a magnifying glass. Favorite Synastry Aspects 

I figured since I did a red flags synastry post, I might as well do a post with good synastry and some opinions. These synastry aspects can be good for friendships, family members, and/or romantic relationships, unless I specify otherwise! 

💍North Node Conjunct Mercury: I feel like people with this aspect really get each other, and they teach each other a lot. This relationship is meant to teach the individuals something. They also communicate really well and communication tends to flow between them very easily. Conversations aren’t forced. Just natural. 

💍Moon in the 8th overlay: This one is more for romantic synastry, but this could be good in other types of relationships as well. This aspect is the epitome of the saying “lay all your cards on the table”. These people are very open with each other, and feel comfortable talking about anything and everything with each other, more specifically the dark side. In romantic relationships, I’ve found that this really draws two people together. There’s a tension between them, and everyone can see it. This is a strong bond. Some might consider it not good, and if you’re looking for a quick fling, be cautious with this aspect. It’s heavy, but it’s one of my favorites. 

💍Chiron positively aspecting+conjunct moon: This is a very healing placement. I personally prefer this for friendships, because in love this can get a little heavy, but if handled right, it’s great in romantic relationships. The two individuals help each other through hardships in life. They’re each other’s therapists, and they make each other better people. If things don’t work out, the pain still helps both individuals become better people. 

💍Sun in the 4th overlay: This is great for friendships and family, but also great for romantic synastry too. They’re each other’s “home” in a sense. They feel comfortable around each other, and can fully trust each other. It’s a comfortable placement, and I think of it as the two individuals sipping tea together by a fireplace baring all their secrets to each other. 

💍7th house overlays (specifically sun, moon, and Venus): This is the typical romance aspect LMAO. If you have this with someone you’re bound to feel some type of way about them (unless it’s your family member obviously or something but you know what I mean LMAO). In the romantic sense, you’re just very drawn to each other and I’ve rarely seen this play out where both individuals don’t like each other in some way. I have this with a guy and even though I know I don’t like him, there are times when sometimes I question myself, like hmm maybe I do like him? This overlay fucks with you, but in a romantic sense? Literally perfect. You want this in romantic synastry. 

💍Sun Opposition Mercury: OKAY HEAR ME OUT. It's a harsh aspect I’m aware, but they complement each other so well. They learn a lot from each other, and their different approaches to communication can help the other person see a different perspective. Also, I feel like this is so underrated, because every person I’ve had this with always understands exactly how I feel and knows exactly how to make me feel better. Different yes, but they complement each other SO well. 

💍Mars Trine Mars: This placement is just... chef’s kiss, esp for romantic synastry. You guys just feel magnetically attracted to each other, and there’s a lot of chemistry. In a non-romantic relationship, you guys both motivate each other to do the best you can and I think of a power couple type shit. There’s also a bit of a healthy competition between you guys. 

💍Venus-Mars Positive Aspects + Conjunctions: OMFFFFFFF GIRLLLL (romantic again lol). This placement is ideal. Big attraction here from both sides. Literally a perfect aspect to have. This is the typical movie star romance aspect. Typical fairytale romance. 

💍 Mars in the 8th overlay: This shit is SPICY (romantic again). Y’all will feel attracted and connected to each other for no reason. This is lust and attachment. They will be obsessed with each other and the relationship will be intense. Now, this is good for those who are in it for the long haul, but for short term flings? I’d be careful with this again. It’s more intense than Moon in the 8th because it’s more s*xual. 

💍Venus Conjunct Jupiter: This one is great for all types of relationships, I feel like people with this in synastry truly understand each other. I’ve had this with someone, and we have so much in common and we just totally get each other. They have a good time together, and with Jupiter being such a benefic planet, this aspect can override a lot of negative aspects in synastry. If you have this in a romantic relationship, this is a GREAT sign that things will work out. 

💍Moon in the 1st: I have this with my best friend, and we get each other so well. We always know exactly what the other is feeling, and we can empathize with each other. We have a very natural bond, and most people have to work to form relationships, but friendship was always so easily for us, and we’ve always felt comfortable around each other. This is great for any type of relationship. 

💍Vertex Conjunct MC: This aspect is great because both of the people change their lives for the better. They might show each other new interests and they are meant to be in each others lives. This relationship (if not family) is fated to happen. 

💍Asteroid Aphrodite #1388 Square/Opposition Sun: While this aspect sounds like it’d be bad, it’s actually not. This aspect makes the pair very protective over each other, and they constantly look out for each other. While this could manifest as being overprotective, I see it more as a good thing. They just want to keep each other safe. 

💍Asteroid DNA #55555 positive aspects/conjunctions: This is more so for family, but you could also look at this in other types of synastry to see what you have in common with that person. I have it aspecting my moms Mercury, and a lot of people say I sound like her on the phone. I also have it aspecting my dads Mercury and my mom always says we deal with our emotions in a similar way. With my best friend, we have it aspecting our Chirons, and her and I have dealt with a lot of similar painful situations and have helped each other through them. 

💍Asteroid Karma #3811 aspecting Venus and/or Mars: This one is for romance. Ooof, the connection here is STRONG. I have this with someone I’m crushing on, and my friend said she could feel the tension between us. Speaking of which, she literally messaged me today and I’ve been thinking about it all day. Ugh, I’m such a simp. 

💍Prominent Asteroid Gabriella #355: This relationship helps both people become stronger. They grow together and they also might fight for causes together. Or they might both work in a job where they help vulnerable people. 

💍Mercury Conjunct Mars: This is good for romantic relationships. They flirt alot with each other despite how long the relationship has lasted. It keeps the relationship fresh. They also like to talk in bed...if you know what I mean. They also have a mental connection and they are very open about what they’re thinking. 

💍Ceres in the 7th: This is also good for romantic relationships, as the Ceres person can see themselves marrying the 7th house person. The 7th house person makes the Ceres person feel loved and secure. Great for romantic partnerships. 

💍Moon Sextile Saturn: This softens the karmic relationship aspect of Moon Conjunct Saturn. You get the best of both worlds with this aspect. There’s a really strong bond between the two, and a lot less clashing. This is likely going to be a long lasting connection (unless it’s a family member LMAO you’re always gonna be connected) if not a life-long connection. 

💍North Node in the 3rd: This is great for platonic relationships! I have this with my friend, and I see her as a sister. We also have great conversations and we really get each other. We always say similar things and think the same way. We’re always on the same page about a lot of things, and we also love to teach each other things we’ve learned. 

💍Saturn Conjunct Ascendant: I really like this for any kind of relationship. I feel like the Saturn person looks up to the Ascendant person alot. They see them as a role model and the Ascendant person pushes the Saturn person to do their best. The Ascendant person also teaches the Saturn person how to be more mature, and helps them accomplish their goals. 

💍Sun in the 5th overlay: This is just a super fun aspect to have for any relationship. The two just have a lot of fun together, and it’s a very light-hearted aspect. They like to make each other laugh and be best friends. In a romantic relationship, they’re like each others best friends. 

💍Jupiter Conjunct Mars: For romantic relationships, this couple has ALOT of s*x. There are high libidos here and alot of passion. They are open about their love for each other. I could keep going but I think y’all get the picture. 

💍Venus positively aspecting/conjunction Uranus: Literally love at first sight in romantic relationships. The chemistry is natural and they get comfortable with each other really easily. In platonic and family synastry, they’re not afraid to show each other their weird sides and are comfortable with each other. They tell each other all their secrets. There’s a lot of excitement here.

💍Sun Trine Uranus: These two accept each others weirdness and bond over unconventional things. They also like to try new things together. They also find each other interesting and never get bored of each other. 

💍Moon-Ascendant Positive Aspects+Conjunction: This gives the two people a really strong and emotional bond. They also feel really comfortable and really familiar with each other. I literally have this aspect with most of my best friends. 

💍Venus Conjunct Ascendant or Venus in the 1st: For romantic synastry, this is love at first sight. I had this with one of my exes, and he said he fell in love with me when he saw me (I’m the Ascendant person, he’s the Venus person). Didn’t stop him from cheating though...it’s okay I was never attracted to him anyway <3

💍Ascendant Conjunct Ascendant: This works really well because both people have a similar view of life and have had similar life experiences. They understand each other really well and likely have a lot in common. They don’t have to explain anything to each other, they just know. 

💍Mars Square Ascendant: Ugh, the s*xual tension here omg. I had this with someone, and I fucking HATED her but I also wanted to fuck her at the same time. We lowkey just didn’t like each other, but I thought she was hot. In a relationship this would manifest as a strong s*xual connection, and it will always keep things interesting. Others may see this as a negative, and if the couple isn’t careful it can turn into a problematic aspect, however, any relationship can turn sour. 

💍Asteroid Destinn #6583 Conjunct Sun: You’re meant to be in each others lives. Nothing else to say here. This connection is fated. 

💍Prominent Asteroid Musa #600: The planet person will be the muse of the asteroid person. I had this with my ex, and when we broke up I wrote so many poems about the break up and how it affected me. So he was my muse, but in a more negative sense. 

My Synastry Opinions

💍Synastry can’t determine if you’re gonna marry someone, it’s more of the energy between you and the person. I look more at Composite charts and Davison Charts to determine if people will get married. 

💍Bad aspects can be neutralized by good ones depending on what they are, i.e. if you have Moon square Venus, and Moon trine Venus as a double whammy, they kind of cancel out each other if that makes sense. 

💍8th and 12th house synastry needs to be considered in relationships. I love these synastry overlays, but they’re intense. If you’re looking for a casual thing, I'd advise against doing that with someone you have this overlay with. 

💍Normally with asteroids in synastry, one or two aspects isn’t significant if it’s not a conjunction or in a prominent house like the 1st or the 10th. However if it’s three or more aspects, other aspects can be included. However, minor aspects shouldn’t really be counted in this (imo). 

💍Oppositions are challenging, but not impossible. I feel like people shit on oppositions alot, but imo, I feel like oppositions can work really well in synastry because people complement each other. Squares are another story, it really depends on what other aspects are there and what the aspect is. (i.e. Moon square Venus isn’t as bad as Mars square Pluto). 

💍6th house synastry is really nice too! People say its boring, but I think it’s a really nice synastry overlay to have. You guys make each other a part of your lives, and you guys do things for each other. This is a really nice and sweet overlay to have. 

💍 An abundance of squares should be taken with a grain of salt. While you should be wary of these, I personally think depending on the aspects themselves and others in the chart, they can be worked through. Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell have a lot of negative aspects, but they also have really positive ones that balance them out and they’ve been together for a REALLY long time and show no indication of breaking up. Also, my best friend and I have a lot of squares in our synastry, but we get along great because we have other aspects that balance it out. TLDR; look at all the aspects and don’t hone in on the negative ones unless they’re really bad like Nessus contacts, Mars square Mars, etc. 

💍Trines are great, but can be lazy. Too many trines in synastry isn’t a great thing either, it can make the relationship fizzle out and go stale. They’re great, but not in abundance. Ideally, you wanna look for sextiles, conjunctions, a few trines, and a few oppositions to keep things alive. 

💍Conjunctions aren’t always good, especially when it involves a malefic planet like Saturn or Mars depending on the planet and other aspects. Moon conjunct Saturn can be bad, it can be very painful and they can depend on each other too much. As for Mars, Mars conjunct Pluto can be really great if handled well, there’s a lot of passion, but it has the ability to go south because of ego clashes. So be mindful of conjunctions in synastry, and what planets they’re aspecting. 

💍Be mindful of North Nodes and Vertexes in synastry, it can tell you what purpose that person is going to serve in your life. For example, Venus Conjunct North Node, they’re likely there to be a romantic partner and if not that, they might be there to teach you self-love or teach you about your relationships with others. 

💍Use whole sign and Placidus astrology for synastry, I’ve found that both are applicable when looking at planet overlays. I typically refer to Placidus astrology for synastry, but it’s definitely worth looking into whole sign astrology as well for synastry. 

💍2nd house synastry can be really great, but I feel like it can go sour if the couple isn’t mature enough or careful enough. They can get really possessive and clingy with each other, so this definitely has to be approached with caution.

💍For soulmate connections, I’d say you need 10 or more of soulmate aspects to call someone a soulmate (I might make a post for this). Remember, not all soulmates are romantic either. They could be a platonic soulmate. However, I’d personally use composite for this, as it has more to do with the relationship itself whereas synastry just deals with the energy of the couple. But, I do think an abundance of soulmate aspects in the synastry chart is significant and should be taken seriously. So take that as you will. 

💍Honestly, just go with the flow in synastry and don’t let it determine anything. If you feel a major connection with someone, but you feel the synastry isn’t “passionate” enough, don’t let it deter you. There’s always something there with people you have personal connections with, and you can look at your Composite and Davison charts as well. 

💍I feel like this one goes without saying, but don’t do synastry charts with celebrities or people you don’t know or don’t really have a connection with (i.e. someone who's in your class but you never talked to them, honestly I don’t know how you’d even get their info anyway but you get my drift). You’ll get wrapped up in possibly having good aspects with them, and getting your hopes up. Save synastry for the people you do know and do have some sort of a connection with. 

💍I personally like to see a bigger number of aspects and have some negative ones in there, versus a smaller number of aspects with mainly positive aspects. This is because I feel like you need a good number of aspects to have a relationship or a connection with this person (this is for romantic synastry). I’ve found that people who I don’t have a lot of aspects with in synastry, my relationships with them have never gone further than a first or second date. Again, take this with a grain of salt. You may have some really powerful aspects despite not having a big number of them. 

💍Look out for double whammys in synastry, it heightens the energy of the aspects. 

💍If you’re a woman or a more feminine identifying person look to see if your partner’s Moon or Venus falls in your first house. 

💍If you’re a man or a more masculine identifying person look to see if your partner’s Sun or Jupiter falls in your first house. 

Remember these are all just my opinions, and I’m not a professional astrologer! Hope you guys enjoyed!

A friend who’s Sun belongs in your 11th house will introduce you to many new people, their popularity will rub off on you. 

Ascendant Opposite Mars - I don’t even know where to begin with this one. So exciting for sure, sometimes terribly frustrating as well. If navigated correctly, the Mars person can push the Ascendant to grow. The Mars person is naturally ambitious and takes charge of their life, the Ascendant will learn from this and integrate this behavior into their own personality. Anger flairs rather easily between people who share this aspect, but it's never that deep and is usually settled quickly.

Sun Trine Mars - This is a power duo. Both parties tackle goals better when together, they encourage each other with enthusiasm. Two people with this aspect see the best in one another, and are fully aware of each other's potential. They have fun in any situation and are highly energized by one another. 

Saturn in the 1st House - Lifelong relationship, deeply karmic. Witnessing one another through struggle. 

Pluto Opposite Moon - The Pluto person wants to take things to a deeper level, usually on the emotional sphere, but finds that the Moon person is too sensitive to handle such depth. 

Jupiter in the 12th House - In a way, The Jupiter person feels like a guardian angel to the 12th houser. The Jupiter person seems to enter the 12th housers life when the least expect it, and they bring with them a series of blessings. The Jupiter person feels protective over the 12th houser, this is a deeply spiritual connection.

Ascendant Trine Uranus - Bringing out the weird side in one another. Neither party is afraid to bring up strange topics to one another. They go to each other first when struck with new ideas.

1st House stellium - Meeting each other at a young age, or at a point in time in which your identity and personality is highlighted and strengthened. You see each other for who you truly are. At times it may feel like both personalities are too big for one another. 

12th House stellium - Constantly coming in and out of one another's lives. This relationship will see many endings.

Mars Conjunct Mars - These two people might have similar career goals. They move in a similar life direction because they are energized by the same things. 

Jupiter in the 1st House - These two people feel like family to one another. They look like they belong together and a sense of familiarity is present from the start. They become their happiest selves around another another, and it is a relationship full of humor.

Sun Opposite Neptune - The Sun person might have to sacrifice a lot in order to remain in this relationship without the Neptune person even realizing it. 

Sun in the 5th House - So many happy memories will be formed while together, a very easygoing and happy-go-lucky type relationships. 

The Moon making negative aspects with Mercury is one of the largest indicators of mind games being at play. Healthy communication, which is absolutely necessary within a functioning relationship, is often lacking. One may feel overly criticized, and certain topics and conversations may trigger old wounds. 

Jupiter Squaring Venus means the couple tends to overspend when together. They both play into each other's self indulgent fantasies. In the moment, these expensive ideas seem great and when played out it does lead to immense amounts of pleasure and luxury. However, when both come back home to their awaited bills, regret and heated arguments begin to set in. 

I try not to fear monger within astrology, but please tread carefully if Mars square Mars is spotted. This aspect can indicate extreme power struggles and lots of tension. Domineering tactics may be used to exert control. I’ve seen things get nasty pretty quickly. 

Having Venus in the sixth house may indicate working well together within a career. Both make great business partners and tackle the everyday hand in hand. Adopting many pets together or both dedicating themselves to a pet is also commonly seen with this synastry placement.  

The Moon making positive aspects with Saturn is one of the best indicators of a healthy long-term relationship. Both individuals approach each other with patience and truly take the time to understand one another on a deeply emotional level. These types of relationships usually aren’t formed until later in life, but they are very much worth the wait. 

The Moon making a positive aspect with Pluto indicates a sexual relationship that ilicates deep emotional bonds. Both individuals nourish each other on a soul level and the magnetic attraction is irresistible. This type of relationship is transformative and even if it comes to an end, both will walk away feeling healed. 

Mercury making a positive aspect to Neptune indicates an artist-muse relationship. The Mercury person being the artist, and the Neptune person being the Muse. The muse awakens inspiration within the artist. The Neptune person is all the Mercury person can think about. Not in an obsessive or possessive manner, but rather in an effort to intensely understand. 

Venus opposite North Node indicates a Romeo and Juliette type romance. These two people are meant to be together, but not during this lifetime.

Having the Sun, Moon, or Ascendent in Libra indicates a lovely relationship that has a natural sense of romance at the forecenter. Even as many years pass, the dinner dates and walks around the park never stop. This couple loves being in love, but most importantly they love being in love with each other. They often see other other as their perfect equal. 

A fifth house house stellium feels like teenage love, this placement is usually found between two people experiencing romantic love for the first time. The chase is thrilling and both individuals are going to be the cheesiest versions of themselves around each other. 

When someone's Moon falls into another person's third house, the Moon person knows what the house person is thinking about on an intuitive level!

Some of my favorite synastry aspects…

Venus in the Fifth house - I had this aspect with my first love. <3 It was a very idyllic relationship (at first lol.) I loved being around him and we had so much fun together. We clicked right away and spent most of our time together eating, going shopping, listening to music, and just simply enjoying each other's presence. I was very connected to my inner child during the relationship. We joked around like kids and would play wrestle, we loved running around acting stupid.

Moon Trine Moon - Complete emotional understanding. You just get one another. This aspect is unforgettable and the person whom I shared this with will always have a special place in my heart. There was always great communication and their presence was insanely comforting. This aspect elicits a lot of warm gooey feelings.

Mars Conjunct Moon - This is a very passionate aspect. Although the relationship is rather impulsive, there is also a lot of excitement. This aspect creates extreme attraction that is both physical and emotional. It creates an intense connection and this aspect illicites a ride or die attitude within the couple.

Pluto Sextile Mars - This aspect within a synastry chart points to an intense transformation as a result of the relationship. With the help of the Mars partner, the Pluto partner finally leaves their past behind. A lot of learning occurs, but it is for the better and helps deepen the bond between both partners. Shame does not exist in relationships like these.

Ascendent Trine Jupiter - Instant trust and a loving friendship are the basis of this aspect. Working on projects together and discussing philosophy is a favorite pastime. There is a lot of shared common interest, especially within religion and faith. The couple would attract a lot of luck while being together. :)
