[Misty floats into view, the fog making her dress swirl around them]

[Ghost]: (singing) You made pain sound romantic~ Made dreams sound pathetic~ I'm still sympathetic~ but un-wav-er-ing!

[Ghost]: it's not...that bad, is it? Sure the words are a bit simple, but not every line can be-

[Ghost]: .... No, I can feel... The fog is trying to keep me quiet. I should probably trust it. I'm sorry.

[Free]: What about trusting me?

[Ghost]: Hey darling! Just working on poetry.

[Free]: Still stuck on that one song again? How about you find a different song to get stuck in your head? One of the ones that paints me pretty.

[Ghost]: Uh, sure! I can throw something on...

[Ghost]: Idea. How would you feel about continuing with that metaphor with muscles turning into bone?

[Free]: oh my Sal, how I love you. Never change.

[Ghost]: I...won't. I promise.

[Ghost]: (singing) but unwavering~

[Ghost]: No, no, that still sounds cheap.

[Free]: Maybe tone it down a bit, make it more lonely sounding. It'll add some emotion.

[Ghost]: yeah, but it just ... It feels wrong. Like it's not meant to be Lonely.

[Free]: hm. Drop it then. You probably won't be able to finish it.

[Ghost]: I know, but-

[Ghost]:...What am I saying? I know you're right.

[Free]: Nobody is gonna see your songs anyways. Only your poetry. Maybe give it a rest? We can lay in bed again.

[Ghost]: (shuffling) yeah. It... I only have one verse and a chorus anyways.

[Free]: 'You made pain sound romantic' is a good one! You can probably use that in a poem if you scrap the whole thing.

[Ghost]: mhm... I think I'm just gonna sleep now.

[Free]: oh, of course Sal. Whatever you need.
