Fellow Californians,
The fire now has 0 percent containment and several areas now have no water in the hydrants anymore. People have now died in the fire.
If asked to evacuate, please do so.
Quickly Take photos of the interiors of each room in your home for insurance purposes.
Anything too large to take with you, take a photo.
Clothes, food, firearms, family photos, passports, SSNs, birth certificates, medical records, and anything of significance should be taken with you.
Small but high value items should also be taken with you (tablets, spare phones, game consoles, computers) as people have been looting evacuated homes in the past and it might happen again this year.
As for me, many of my neighbors are now evacuating even tho my area doesn’t have an order yet. We are just on the edge of the evacuation order.
I can see the fire from my property.
I’m now packing my bags for when the order happens.
I wish all my fellow Californians the best. Be safe.
So, a little bit of an update on Los Angeles Burning
The Pacific Palisades Fire is now at 11,800~ acres (the evacuation line is getting closer and closer to me in Encino, which is worrying.)
The Hurst Fire has grown to 700 acres.
The Eaton/Altadena fire is now at 10,600 acres.
And there was a super cool, super secret fourth fire (😒) in the Sepulveda Basin on Woodley Avenue. The Sepulveda Basin is a wildlife preserve, park, golf course spot, homeless area, etc. It was initially 75 acres, but has been contained into 30. It has not escaped from the Basin, which is good.
The images and information shared I got from the Watch Duty App, which monitors fires and things.
((I have reblogged this twice with updates and will continue to do so))

NOT SO CAL SPORTS, BUT SO WHAT?! Thoughts Regarding The Wildfires In Los Angeles
This looks like this may be in So Cal (I think), but it’s not the current fires devastating that area… EXPRESSING SORROW, SYMPATHY AND PRAYERS FOR THE DEVASTATING WILDFIRES IN MY HOMETOWN LOS ANGELES AREA This is the biggest “Not SoCal Sports, But So What?!” post that I’ve written on this blog. How could it be anything but considering these overall numbers from the THREE large wildfires…

Being born and raised in LA, my heart is very heavy and I shed so many tears. I am beyond heartbroken and devastated.
I really hope these fires can get controlled as soon possible as people and all wildlife are really suffering at this moment.
To all the heroes who working on trying to get these fires contained thank you so much for all of your hard work.
To all the people who have lost their homes or had to evacuate, I am so sorry, my thoughts are with you.
And to the wildlife and Mother Nature, I am so incredibly sorry, I hope you can heal.
I love you all and stay safe. ❤️
