Very much not kink lol
This has been a hard ass month.
My cat is having major dental issues and needs surgery. I’ve never had her go under in the 12.5 years I’ve had her, so I’m very worried. But after today I’m very glad I made the appointment. She hasn’t eaten since this afternoon, really. I can tell she wants to but her mouth hurts too much. It started with swelling on the gum line on her fang, but today I finally realized the bigger culprit are the couple of teeth dissolving below that. I know that’s a thing that happens, and it’s happened before to her, but it’s never been this painful for her.
She’ll begrudgingly let me shoot food dissolved into water into her mouth, so that’s my game plan for tomorrow if her pain stays this high. They gave me meds for her, but this is definitely a peak pain wise for her. Emergency vet is not in the question cost wise, but Monday isn’t too far and I know what the problem is. I hate it but it’s what I can do.
My car also decided to have noises for me to solve at the same time. Luckily my parents were able to help, and I have my credit cards for emergencies like this, but it’s like $2000. I wasn’t planning on spending. With my cat it’s almost 4 grand. Damn.
Then my cousin died of cancer. We weren’t close but she had two teen boys. That’s a level of grief no kid deserves. And I’m going to the funeral which will be weird for so many reasons. Most of them being transphobia.
Also a Black man got murdered by cops in the street in my city and the video is…too much. I want to join more of the protesting and hopefully I will as my cat heals (fingers frigging crossed). I went on Thursday and I want to go Tuesday afternoon/night if there’s stuff. They’re shutting down streets and stuff to get the guy arrested. Yay to that. Wanna help.
On top of all that it’s been incredibly hot. Which it will be every year but it’s still hard cause concussion aftermath. Don’t fall on your head folks. Might get stuck inside for days on end.
I’m so scared my cat is gonna have complications on Monday so please send good vibes to her tiny body. If something goes wrong I’ll be okay…but I don’t wanna have to be ya know? I be crying a lot about it.
