I do yes!!! My coaches sort of don't know what to do with me so I don't have like "main events" but my favs are the 100 back (1:20), the 100 free (1:12), and the 50 free (0:32..). Because of where I live I can also do open water comps which maybe are my favorite, and I like the mile in those.
Been a while since my last check-in. Still running and training In “maintenance” mode, but since I can't stay motivated without some type of target, I signed up for a 5K race on 7/22. That's a Wednesday night, but I've run this race many times as a member of the DC Roadrunners Club, so it's not a big deal. As long as we don't still have 100° temperatures, it will be fine.
As for today, the heat wave conditions pushed me to the pool, where I had a good workout of 1300 yards. Sometimes you have to adapt and this worked for me. Saturday’s long run will have to be an early affair though. I will be ready.
ppl don’t take into account that swimmers have such big shoulders bc tell me why all my shirts stretch at the shoulders regardless of if they’re the right size or even too big 😭😭
