Mantitlement's Whiskey Bacon Brownies are a delicious blend of dark chocolate, crispy bacon, and just a touch of whiskey. Ideal for satisfying your savory and sweet cravings.
Ingredients: 1 cup whiskey. 1/2 cup bacon bits. 1/2 cup unsalted butter. 1 cup granulated sugar. 2 large eggs. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/2 cup all-purpose flour. 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/4 teaspoon baking powder. 1/4 teaspoon instant coffee granules optional. 1/2 cup chocolate chips. 1/2 cup chopped pecans optional. Cooking spray or butter for greasing the pan.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 350F 175C. Grease an 8x8-inch 20x20 cm baking pan with cooking spray or butter. In a small saucepan, heat the whiskey over low heat until it simmers. Remove from heat and stir in the bacon bits. Let it cool to room temperature. In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt the unsalted butter in the microwave. Allow it to cool slightly. Add granulated sugar to the melted butter and mix well. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking powder, and instant coffee granules if using. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined. Pour in the cooled whiskey and bacon mixture, and mix until evenly incorporated. Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans if using. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs attached.
