Combine the goodness of cake and cookies in these delightful cake pop cookies. These bite-sized treats are perfect for parties, events, or simply indulging yourself.
Ingredients: 1 box of cake mix chocolate or vanilla. 3 eggs. 1/2 cup vegetable oil. 1/2 cup water. 1 cup chocolate chips. 1/2 cup buttercream frosting. 1 package of candy melts assorted colors. Sprinkles for decoration.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to 350F 175C and put parchment paper on a baking sheet. Put the cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water in a mixing bowl. Mix until everything is smooth and well mixed. Add the chocolate chips to the cake batter and mix them in well. Making small cookie rounds, drop spoonfuls of the batter onto the baking sheet that has been prepared. Put it in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges turn golden. On a wire rack, let the cake cookies cool all the way down. You can use your hands or a food processor to break up the cool cake cookies into small pieces. Put the cake crumbs and buttercream frosting in a large bowl and mix them together until the mixture looks like dough. Roll small amounts of the cake pop mixture into balls that are easy to eat. Put them on a tray that has papers on it. Put the cake pop balls in the fridge for about 30 minutes to make them firm. Use a microwave or a double boiler to melt the candy melts the way the package says to. Melt the candy melts and dip the end of a lollipop stick into them. Then, put the stick about halfway into a cake pop ball. Let the extra candy melts drip off after you dip each cake pop in them. While the candy coating is still wet, add colorful sprinkles to the cake pops. To let them set all the way, put the cake pops on their sides in a Styrofoam block or a cake pop stand. Your tasty cake pop cookies are ready to eat once the candy coating has hardened.
