@swallowstm: DO YOU LIKE HORROR MOVIES?
"what?" maybe chris is staring. it's just that, okay, she gets enough shit from her friends about the way she looks at lisa swallows, ever since lisa came to school in a short black dress and started being mean to literally everyone, and it was the hottest thing chris had seen since she first discovered vampirella. but she's made peace with the fact that lisa probably wouldn't ever talk to her. heat floods chris' cheeks. lisa looks really good today.
"uh, yeah. i guess." chris racks her brain for the last horror movie she's seen, to prove she's not just a poser, but her mind is completely blank. what was that one on vhs she'd watched with eddie last week? where they'd killed the turtle? she hadn't really liked that one, but at least that would be something, since she seems to have forgotten every other movie in existence. shyly: "i like, um. vampires."
it's like she's watching a car crash in slow motion, except she is the car crash. why didn't she just cut class today?
