Rewatching TROS again again and damn, that fleet is terrifying. And also, if jm remembering correctly, the closest ships to Republic ships - if they're not just straight up republic ships.
Simultaneously heartbreaking and also really freaking cool.
I honestly like it more on a rewatch. The callbacks feel like they're closing the journey that started. Look, was the main attempt at romance just as badly scripted as the prequels at times (and no, im not taking sides for the ship/romance. I literally could not care less who ships what, or who doesn't, it's just not a focus for me. Tldr is im chill with anything re:that, but both the prequels and sequels struggled with building the diolouge for the main pairings at times *to me.* I think its just a star wars thing. Just my opinion and I recognize people might disagree or agree.
Okay the main point of all that is please just dont drag me into your shipping wars.)?
Other than that? The Palpatine plot actually...was good to me. I absolutely believe he would do that. Look, he planned the original war for....decades. He was the one who told Anakin about the Sith lord killed by his Master. He absolutely planned for it.
And the Skywalker stuff? Also good? Because adoption is a THING and she and Luke were close, and so were her and Leia. I love that duality and the chosen family bit.
Just overall, I enjoyed this.
