Like does SQQ get any say on the intonations of those replys? Can he pick what his face is doing? Can he control the flow of the words or do they just come out exactly like the system wants them too?

I'm just imagining him saying one of the predetermined lines while making the weirdest faces and Luo Binghe is like, "...Shizun is something making you say things you don't want to?"

SQQ: *stares pointedly at the system screen only he can see for 10 seconds*

/j , but i do get a severe feeling grief anytime read thru pages of a captivating fanfic, but then see no "next chapter" button at the bottom (purely my own fault, i did see that the last one like this was unfinished since 2022, idk i'm still upset when it's not done)

Lurkers, It's like in Retry Now (by Nakiso), but it's the System smiting all the good fanfics until it gets the canon ending.

Why was the System able to turn on easy mode? Why was the skinner so silly? Why was Shen Qingqiu able to guess who they were using basically literary analysis? Easy. The skinner wasn't actually real. They were a plot element generated by the System to fill in the gaps of the world.

I'm sure we all assumed that this was one of the many moments of SQQ being an unreliable narrator. You get transmigrated into a book, none of it seems real because you read about these people as characters not biographically, blah blah blah.

But. Like. Instead of SQQ coming to the realization that the people around him were real all along, what a twist for it to be that they were actually only characters until a transmigrator felt that they were real enough for them to become so. When the System said it was his world, it wasn't kidding, wtf.

No wonder SQQ was so fucking weird about how he viewed the world.

SQQ: stop with all the nonsensical point values! How do you even know how many satisfaction points this gives the protagonist!?
