Good memories don't fade.
I’ve been reflecting on yesterday’s Grand Prix and how Spa exposed the downsides of these regs so brutally. The one thing that keeps sticking in my mind is that George’s loss of power and the resulting speed differential to surrounding cars was incredibly dangerous, especially on this track with high speeds and blind corners (and the deaths that have resulted.) I am glad it was just a spin out and that no one was hurt. I don’t think the tweaks made after Suzuka and Ollie’s crash to avoid Franco are enough. If teams cannot understand (and fix!) why individual cars are deploying erratically that’s a problem. I want better safety for the drivers.
