We are excited to announce that we have been awarded a grant to develop and run an online course for sexual trauma survivors on trauma-informed yoga and meditation practices for healing! The course, “Embodied Healing: Trauma-Informed Yoga and Meditation for Survivors” will run for 6 weeks beginning this November. It will include a combination of education on the impacts of sexual abuse and trauma on the brain, nervous system, body and mind, and also, an in-depth look at how yoga and meditation practices can support an integrated and sustainable approach to healing. We will also offer trauma-informed meditation and yoga practices in 3 different lengths to support survivors in developing a home practice. As a scaffold to the online course, we will have weekly readings to supplement the week's core content, a weekly live call where we will review and discuss the previous week’s readings and course material, and an moderated online discussion forum for participants. Please stay tuned for more details about our teaching team and registration coming in early September! You can also email me at: [email protected] to sign up to be notified as soon as registration and course details go live! #survivor #sexualabuse #sexualtrauma #survivorcentered #survivorlead #holistichealing #nonlinearhealing #mindbodysoul #buildingresilience #traumainformedcare #traumainformedyoga #traumainformedmeditation #selfcare #communitycare #healingisapractice #onesizedoesnotfitall #nonprofit photo: @mollyboha
