I felt the massive scale of this postmodern work made it a fine example of escaping the confines of museums. Much like their work āThe Gatesā, Christo and Jeanne-Claude rejected any institutional funding for the project, instead funding it entirely by themselves. This put them outside of the museum system as well as literally outside of the museum!Ā
