Charles is a 69 year old who came to me because he was having severe, electrical shocks across the left side of the face. The pain lasted for a few seconds at a time and he had multiple episodes a day. #Repost @neurodreamteam Trigeminal Neuralgia ⚡️ ———————————————— He had initial improvement with medication, but eventually the medication dosing had to be increased and eventually wasn’t effective. We took Charles to surgery for trigeminal neuralgia. I found an artery pulsating against the nerve next to the brainstem. I moved the artery away from the nerve.
