Benny’s finally back but he’s fucking terrified! Lets make sure he doesn’t have to be anymore - much like WSB (in case you haven’t geeked out about this go check reddit pls, you’ll love it) - if we all join forces and fight the evil machine we can make a difference.Â
Benny doesn’t have to be terrified ever again, and with enough positive energy sent Benny’s way I’m sure his next tune will be one of further victory, cause’ Benny’s not really terrified - he’s just pretending to be and he doesn’t give a fuck about the bullshit - which the guitarsolo of this tune most definitely is a testament to - I think I’ll have to say that this is probably the most epic guitar-solo I’ve heard since Kurt Cobains’ in ‘Milk It’ - you can give that a listen here “https://youtu.be/AP7szCOgUIk?t=152″.Â
Flashy cock-filled guitar-solos have never been my thing and this sort of ironical and fuckyouandyourrules kind of approach makes my day more than a free footrub, or any kind of nice edible substances.Â
In a sort of honorary mention I’d also point to the solo in the opening track to Nirvana’s ‘In Utero’ album - Serve the Servants. Perhaps a bit less fuck you, it’s still a great way to open a much anticipated album when you’re the biggest rock band in the world at the time, and naming the first song Serve the Servants is surely a testament to Cobains way of seeing things and him using his status to both stick it to the man as well as hopefully making the world just a little bit better.
I think BennyHonda’s got a shitload of good intentions, atleast if they are anywhere near up to par with his guitar-solos, and I’ll be looking forward to more tunes from this outfit with much anticipation!
