Hey supers!
Been out as superstraight for months, and I have filled out my sexuality in every survey and form as "superstraight" only once did I get crap 😅 How's it going for all the other supers out there? It can be hard when people make way more superphobe blogs and stuff than there are actual s+ posts on this platform. It's so silly because if you are a real super you know that your existence isn't hurting anyone else. If you don't, then you should. Don't ever let anyone make you feel guilty for being superstraight. S+ is not hate S+ is not a joke S+ is not transphobic S+ is not radical feminism S+ is not dead S+ is not a choice Anyway, this picture is cute and has always made me want to learn water color, and also I always see Hobbes as superstraight so yeah 🖤🧡
Superstraight and still here! 🖤🧡
I’ve been too busy to make content lately ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Anyone heard of the guy who got in trouble for not doing a porn scene with a lady who he found out was a transgender woman? Something about she’s trying to report a hate crime because the man doesn’t want to have sex with someone who has a penis. Yikes. I found a few tabloid articles on it, but I’m having a hard time finding anything else because uh... the search results that come up with this topic are less than useful and I don’t want to scroll past that sort of thing. It sounds like every article and comment section was painting the guy as horrible and transphobic though, which is really disappointing and shows that S+ rights have a long way to go. 😑 I came out to my friend as superstraight a few weeks ago! She was concerned but eventually she understood that there are a lot of misconceptions against S+. When the S+ movement started, there were a bunch of “memers” that desperately tried to cling to the movement and then left in anger that we were respecting pronouns, telling Nazis to fuck off, and in general not being a toxic 4chan raid like they were lead to believe. Which was easy, since we came from tiktok long before people on 4chan had ever heard of superstraight and attempted to co-opt it. I’m still here and talk to my superhomies every day, the memers have left us alone, and the haters just don’t understand yet Maybe one day the world will understand what superstraight is really about.

Here's a flaming hot take (maybe)
Dear "Superstraights", ( and "supergays" and "superlesbians" bc i've seen those terms floating around a bit too, i just dont know how common they are)
There are ways to express that you do not want to bed a trans person, without being a disrespectful piece of shit, and without saying "trans women aren't real women" or "trans men aren't real men". Personally, I don't think it's inherently transphobic to not want to do sexual or romantic things with a trans person, however its when shit like this happens that it DOES become transphobic, and downright idiotic.
If your reasoning for not wanting to bed a trans person is influenced, partially or fully, by a belief that they aren't what gender they say they are (i.e "this trans woman/man isnt a REAL woman/man, because she/he was born male/female"), then you should shut the fuck up right now, and go educate yourself.
But, if your reasoning is something along the lines of "I just dont want to fuck someone with a male/female genitalia", then this is for you.
Using "superstraight" as a new sexuality to explain your not wanting to bed a trans person, is extremely disrespectful to literally all of the other sexualities who face discrimination and hate each day. Why? Because it's basically mocking us, and our experiences. Straight people have never, and likely will never, experience the hate and hostility LGBTQ+ people face daily. So creating a "new sexuality", that basically serves no purpose except to generalize (and often discriminate against) trans people, is NOT the way to go when expressing you don't feel comfortable getting in the sheets with a trans person.
So here are some dos and don'ts for expressing your discomfort with having a sexual relationship with someone who's trans:
Don't:
-Be an asshole about it
-"you're not a real man/woman so i dont want to"
-try to accuse them of somehow tricking you into liking them
-invalidate their gender identity just because YOU are uncomfortable
-out them to anyone who isnt already aware of their gender
Do:
-Be polite, and respectful, but be clear about your feelings
-Recognize that this is an issue with yourself, and not trans people in general.
-continue to respect their gender identity and pronouns
-apologize for any hurt feelings or discomfort on their end from being rejected like this
From what i've seen, most trans people will understand why you may or may not want to do things with them in that way, however I cant speak for everyone.
If you are a trans woman, or man, and you see that i've gotten something wrong here, please let me know. After all, I'm neither (non-binary), and may not fully understand your perspective!

Genetalia.
Genitals, genital obsession, and genital “preference”
Misconception: It is a common misconception that supersexuality is simply attraction to a certain genetalia set. Of course, if this were true, supersexuals would be open to relationships with transgender individuals, but this is not the case. Supers are, like anyone else, attracted to people. As previously stated, gender AND sex are integral to super orientations.
The Fallacy: Once superphobes assert that supersexuality is a preference, they can go on to attack the strawman by calling them transphobic or genital fetisists. They can argue that this “preference” can be unlearned- which eventually leads to the rape rhetoric that plagues superphobic spaces. The fallacy therefore must be stopped from the beginning, as meaningful conversation cannot take place with someone who appeals to this “preference” assumption.
What Does It Mean To Be Sex AND Gender Attracted? This is where much of the confusion starts. Unlike other sexualities, here gender expression is just 1/2 of the equation. Most supers are attracted to either a masculine or feminine gender identity (this does not necessarily mean their partner will openly express the stereotypes of their gender identity). But this attraction is directly linked to their sex-based attraction, hence why supersexuals are exclusively attracted to cisgender people.
But Isn’t Sex Just Genetalia? No, which is the main problem with the reactionary argument that supers are simply “genetalia fetishists”. Biological sex is physically expressed in everything from bone structure, height, vocal range, body hair, limb size, and muscle composition, among other things including genetalia. The lack of coehesion which may lead to sexual dysphoria can occur when ANY of these factors (often without the conscious knowledge of the super) are not present to a reasonable degree. To expect a super to participate in sex based on the genetalia involved alone is to deeply misunderstand and invalidate their sexuality. The same can be said for expecting them to particapate based on the gender of the partner alone.
What Should I Do When I See Superphobic Rhetoric?
Always educate. When you see a superphobe saying “supersexuality is a genital preference/obsession/fetish” stop before they can escalate into rape or conversion rhetoric. Teach them that supers aren’t soley attracted to genitals, but gender as well as biological sex. Teach them that this is a fixed sexuality and NOT a preference. And teach them that Super Love Is Love!
Remember to drop any questions you have on the lesson! See ya in a bit, everyone <3
Is Supersexuality transphobia?
Short answer: no.
1) Sexuality is inherently exclusive as a concept.
All humans have their own needs and perceptions that ultimately lead to a specific, fixed sexuality as well. Having a sexuality means they are attracted to something specific- and therefore do not experience that attraction or arousal by others outside that circle. Everyone reserves the right to sexual boundaries, and no one has the right to demand explanations for these boundaries.
2) Implications of calling a sexuality [ ]-phobic
If you believe that supersexuality is transphobic, you MUST also believe that homosexuality is misandrist and misogynistic. It is the continuation of the exact same logic and there are no two ways around it. As we know, this is a bigoted viewpoint as a person's sexuality is defined by who they LOVE, not who they don't.
3) Why calling supersexuals transphobes is deeply fascist and problematic
When you question the sexuality of others, implying their love has ulterior motives, this is a form of gaslighting, coercion and conversion therapy. However unintentional, it works to guilt others into dismantling their sexual boundaries for the benefit and sexual achievement of others. It is a demand which parallels fascist interrogation and homophobia. It is to assume that their sexuality is changeable, that it is simply a preference (a common misconception). Our orientation is NOT your sexual conquest. It is NOT your fetish.
Please feel free to ask any more questions on this lesson, and see ya around! 💗🧡🖤
When superphobes call me a TERF
Sup everyone, I finally looked up what “TERF” means I am not a radical feminist, let alone a “trans exclusionary” one lmao
